Sign-up for Charms Term 6
Ever since the pervious Professors promotion to Headmaster the Apprentice (and sister to the headmaster) had taken over the running of the class until a suitable candidate could be found…and Nelson was that man.
Knowing that it was best to be prepared for the up coming term Professor Rutherford had placed a notice on the door of the Charms classroom that read thus:-To those thinking of taking part in Charms lessons during Term 6 could you please place your Name, Year and House on the parchment below! Once signed up to the class you are expected to attend lessons and to participate during them. Thank you for your time Professor Nelson Rutherford [/blockquote]

Another day, another rumor. Teachers fled in and out all the time but it never really bothered Bray. They just kept getting more and more interesting, and lord knows where his mind could wander too if he didn't have something to do during school hours. Checking for a sign-up so he wouldn't miss out on learning Charms, as he often did when the lazies took over him and just couldn't convince him to go to lessons and then having to suffer through Ellie and Fay talking animatedly about it later. Whatever, it's not like he really cared. But new teachers always peaked his curiosity and that's why he was making his way to the Charms classroom in case there was a sign-up like most teachers did.
And there was. Of course. Rolling his eyes the entire time, Bray dug a quill out of his pocket that looked like it was on it's last leg of life and quickly scribbled down his name fast enough before the tip broke off. "Bradyn Reed, Ravenclaw, sixth year."

Ellie was slightly, ok incredibly, disappointed that Professor Hubbles wouldn't be teaching Charms anymore. Ellie had always treasured their classes, and lets not forget the little crush she had on him. Of course he had to go and get married, and then become headmaster. Ellie knew that it was a much better position for him, but still. She wouldn't see him as often now.
Ellie walked to the Charms classroom, hoping maybe yo get a glimpse of the new Professor. Sadly, only a shorter Ravenclaw was signing up. No sign of anyone Professor-y. She sighed and took out her wand, forgetting her quill. With a flick of her wrist, a teal sprak flew out of her wand tip and landed on the paper. The last name added was now:
Ellie Rook. Hufflepuff. Sixth Year.
Wow, that was strange to see. Sixth year! Ellie smiled and put her wand back in her pocket, disappointed she didn't catch a glimpse of the Professor. As if she was on a jungle safari and she hadn't seen any giraffe.

Hogwarts went through professors like toilet paper. Brinley didn't mind though, gave her plenty of opportunity to meet new personalities and new people. She could almost always tell what they were like by how they carried themselves, and what their general expressions were.. It was a useful talent, though she was probably not the only face reader at the school. Hearing rumors of the sign-up for Charms, the Ravenclaw had walked calmly through the hallway, dodging a tall Gryffindor girl with hair of dreadlocks and junk interwoven though it that was running from a Gryffindor boy with neon pink hair done up in pig tails. They were shouting curses at each other but it had been playful, all in good fun.. She smiled to herself. Ah, affection.. Brinley thought wistfully, knowing a besotted expression when she saw it. Stepping up to the parchment and signing it, she then turned back around, hearing no more teasing jabs as she stepped across the stone back to the common room to finish up on her Potions assignment.
