Lorenz walked out toward the forest. He knew that it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. But when did he ever care what was the smartest thing to do. He was so bored in the school. The forest was dangerous, but in the castle you couldn't turn a corner without running into either professor or ministry official. It was all just so frustrating.
When he reached the edge of the forest he pulled out his wand so he would have it ready. Glancing over his shoulder he took a moment to look at the castle. He knew that if he got caught he would more than likely be in huge trouble, especially if it was ministry that caught him. They seemed to enjoy punishments more than the professors did.
If he got in trouble, he got in trouble. Oh well, worse things could happen. He was about to enter the forbidden forest after all. Without another thought, he turned and walked into the forest. After a few minutes of walking he found himself surrounded by trees. He stopped for a moment to look around. Only when he stopped did he hear something, footsteps. Someone else was there. Lorenz looked cautiously around him with his wand at the ready. It could be anyone...or anything.

Kasey stopped and lifted her nose to the air. Ah, today was a good day for wandering through the forest. Barely a stir in the trees. The little fox --Kasey-- yipped in her delight and continued through the forest. Yesterday she had met a second year Gryffindor and a thestral, not what would she meet today?
Ears twitched forward as she wandered further into the forest. Someone else was here too? Oh happy days! Kasey moved closer to see if she could recognize the scent. Now who could this be? A little twitch of her nose, and her eyes widened.
Lorenz?
Now what was he doing in the forest? She never thought he would venture out like this. Of course, Kasey did it on a pretty regular basis, but that was beside the point.
Too lazy to change back to herself, Kase walked closer to Lorenz. Her head titled slightly to one side as her nose twitched again. She stopped a couple feet away from him and sat down. Her bushy tail gave the slightest of wags.

Tori ran behind a large tree and switched into her dog form. Peeking around the trunk, her gaze fell upon a little fox crossing the grounds toward the forest. Her eyes narrowed and she picked up her wand with her mouth. The wild dog galloped across the grounds after Kasey, hoping to be in on whatever she was doing. A scent hit her as she reached the edge of the Forbidden Forest...Lorenz with Kasey's mingled in there too.
With one last glance toward the castle, Tori set off after her friend. Quite honestly, she didn't care if she was in trouble for sneaking into the forest. TuTu let out a sharp bark, letting Kasey know she was near. Out of the corner of her vision, Tori spotted a flash of red. The dog padded quietly over to the fox and gave her a soft nudge of welcome.

Lorenz lowered his gaze as the sound appeared right in front of him. Quickly he realized that he had his wand pointed directly at a little red fox, a very familiar little red fox. As the fox wagged it's tail, Lorenz lowered his wand and narrowed his eyes at Kasey. "You know you shouldn't sneak up on people like that, animal or otherwise," he said in a slightly annoyed voice. "I could have cast a spell before I had even realized it was you. And then what would you do. You couldn't really defend yourself without a wand."
Lorenz twitched just slightly at the sound of a bark. In seconds a dog had appeared and had walked over to Kasey as though they were friends. It took a moment for it to hit Lorenz, but when it did he smiled widely. "Hello, Tori," he said the annoyed tone completely gone from his voice. The dog had to be Tori. That was the only way in the world that it made sense that a dog would be so friendly with a fox. "Figures you're an animagus too." He looked around them at the dense trees of the forest. "Are you two planning on becoming human, or am I going to be accompanied into the forest by animals?"

Kasey shook her head, and soon her body returned back to normal. She stood and brushed herself off. "Oh, I knew you wouldn't hit me. Call it my animal sense." She grinned and tapped her head. Kase looked over to Tori and rolled her eyes. "Yea, way to blow cover TuTu. After 5 years, first I slip up, then you. What has gone wrong with the world?"
Kase took out her wand and muttered Lumos. The tip of the wand started to glow, and Kasey looked back to Lorenz. "First time out here then? Or were you looking for something in particular?" Kasey smirked and placed one hand on her hip. "Cause I've been out here loads of times, and I think I could help you in your quest."

The dog let out another sharp bark that could be compared to a laugh and stood up on her hind legs, soon transforming back into Tori. "Oh darn. Lorenz found out my secret! What on earth am I going to do?" She said with a smirk, tapping her wand on her head. Glancing down, Tori brushed an invisible fleck of dirt off her short black dress and murmured something about how it was stupid to wear red heels in a forest.
"So, what are we going to do? I'm not seeing your motive for coming out here, Lorenz. Kase and I have been out here to stretch our legs. And I'm assuming you are not an animagus." Tori said while twirling around. Her heel caught on a thick tree root, causing TuTu to topple over. The girl lied there, stunned for a second, then let out a bark-like laugh. "Oh goodness. What am I ever going to do with myself?"

Lorenz watched with much relief as the girls changed back. He wouldn't have been very happy stuck in the forest with a fox and a dog. Lorenz immediately noticed Tori's wardrobe. He had always known the girl was fashionably, but honestly, who in their right mind would wear heels into the forest?
He shook his head and resisted the urge to laugh as sure enough, her heels caused to Tori to fall. Walking over to her, Lorenz offered his hand to help her up. "No, Tori I'm not an animagus," he answered the girl who lay on the ground. "I was just getting away from the castle and all the ridiculous nonsense of the school." Lorenz glanced over at Kasey and then back to Tori. "So, no, no special quest. Just a bit of an adventure."

Kasey smacked her palm against her forehead. "TuTu, I told you to wear boots. Not heels, boots." She pointed to her own books, the white ones that lace up. Still fashionable, but better in the forest than heels.
She turned back to Lorenz, and raised an eyebrow. "The forest is dangerous, if you didn't already know. Hence why we go around as animals. Less suspicious." Her gaze flicked to Tori. "Except for the fact that TuTu is an African wild dog, but still. Faster and better senses, so we could probably get away from something quicker than we can like this." She gestured to herself.
"Well then, let us be off to go find adventure and what not. And TuTu, try not to trip over anything else. If worse comes to worse, just change to the dog. It's much easier that way." She grinned and grabbed her friends arm. Kasey pulled her up to her feet. "Sorry Lorenz, but TuTu usually needs an extra little boost when getting up."

Tori smiled as Lorenz offered his hand. "And he has mann-" she was cut off by Kasey, who had hoisted her up with a little too much strength. Letting out a squeal, Tori flew forward. She twisted her legs out, landing perfectly without making a sound. "Being a dog has its advantages, you know." TuTu said with a smirk.
"Ok, let's get going" the girl said, brushing herself off. She bent down, placing her wand in her mouth. A dog now stood where Tori was a second ago. She trotted forward, glancing back to make sure the other two were following.
