His name is RUPERT MARIGOLD
Been PUREBLOOD for FIFTEEN long years.
Making him a FIFTH year
Sorted into SLYTHERIN
But he’s unsure as to why
He is currently SINGLE
And will more than likely be for the rest of his LIVES
As he suffers with DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER(multiple personalities)
At Face Value
With his NEON BLUE piercing eyes and scruffy untamed DARK BROWN hair, Rupert still has baby features and looks younger than he is. If it wasn’t for his 5’7” frame he would look like he was barely a teenager. Not many emotions play upon Rupert’s face because nobody really comes close enough to him to make him smile or laugh.
The Basic Boy
It is often you will see Rupert as himself. He is a quiet boy, and he has never really understood why he was sorted into Slytherin because he is not anything like a slytherin but more Hufflepuff. He will be seen skulking around the corridors with his head bowed low and never with friends as he is very much alone. He is often bullied that is until one of his multiple personalities comes out to play. Overall, he is very withdrawn from everyone and has taken to the company of books and exploring the castle.
The Personalities
Wilamina Freebottom – A hippy free-for-all. She is all about peace, love and hugs and is often very annoying to other students. Her airy fairy ways can be seen as dated and when she continuously picks flowers and puts them into people’s hair and behind their ears it can get very aggravating for people who she is currently bugging.
Peter Petreya – The Joker. He usually comes out when he sees others playing pranks and wants to join in. This is the childish side to Rupert, the side where he truly wants to be normal and belong amongst the rest of the students. However, many people have taken advantage of this side of him and let him take the rap for many pranks that have gone wrong or landed them in trouble.
Steven Stevenage – The suave side of Rupert, A proper little ladies man who could chat up a dead plant into turning into a blossoming flower. It is rare that Steven is seen through Rupert, but when he is he does not want to leave. He will chat up anything and everything female and will usually be seen gathering around a flock of girls demanding some attention.
Joseph Carmichael – The violent side of Rupert. Usually comes out to play when he is getting bullied or teased, and normally steps out and replaces as soon as people show violence towards Wilamina. Joseph is the side where when anybody gets riled up enough will gain strength from nowhere. Joseph is no stranger to a giving or receiving a few punches.
The Past
Being born to Matilda Bagglesout and Rupert (Senior) Marigold, Rupert Frederick Marigold was born in the autumn in a small town on the outskirts of Dover. Rupert gained a little sister at the age of four and was extremely protective and loving towards her. Unfortunately not a year later that she died due to cot death and the family was distraught. It wasn’t apparent in Rupert for many years until it was nearing his sixth birthday that he was stranger than most children. He would continuously sit in his room and talk to himself, often in different voices. This often worried his mother and many times she was tempted to send the young boy to St.Mungo’s although every time Rupert Senior would tell her not to and dismiss it as simple child’s play and loneliness from his lack of friends, and simply push the boy outside to play with the other children of the town.
It was this push from his supposed ‘loving father’ that made his time with the other children bring out more personalities in himself, making his condition worsen rather than simply fade away. After one day of chasing a few children around a field with a barbeque fork Matilda decided enough was enough and took him to St.Mungo’s to see why he wasn’t acting ‘normal’.
After a few weeks diagnosis, Rupert was found to be suffering from extreme DID more widely known as Multiple personalities disorder where different emotions make Rupert have various different people inside him to bring out these emotions, sort of a blockade to his actual self. The experts said that the condition was mostly found in children who had some trauma in their lives and many grew out of the disorder once they past their teen years. After many years of living with the disorder, Rupert’s parents still live in hope that he will grow out of it, for his sake if not for others.
As they eventually learnt how to cope with the various people living inside of their son, the easier things became for them. Being from a magical family and seeing no other reason for him to be separated from the rest of the world, when the time came they enrolled Rupert into Hogwarts and luckily was accepted.
For his first four years in Hogwarts, Rupert has been trying to find himself and fight being the others inside of him. He still has no idea who he truly is and unless he can find out soon and stop the voices inside his head from becoming apparent then he may never escape them. As his teenage clock keeps ticking, the hope of him growing out of his disorder is running thin...
