Snap...the nib of her quill folded under itself and broke off onto the parchment creating an uninvited ink splotch on the page. Sighing, she simply flicked the nib off the page and continued to write with a spare quill. Dipping it lightly into her black ink pot she began scrawling back on the page simply ignoring the mess on the side of the paper. Kendra was not one to sit and rewrite her homework over and over again like some Ravenclaws she knew, just so the handwriting was perfect and every little detail was flawless. So what if the page had a big blob of black ink on it? It didn't affect the content and quality of the essay so there was no need to stress on the slight imperfection.
On the other hand, if it was her face, she would not accept it. She would simply wipe it off and start over. Her face had to be perfect everyday and if it wasn't then she would simply hide her face somehow. It was a blessing that she was probably the singular girl who had the most beautifying charms and spells from magazines and books passed down from her mother and some other sources. If you needed to get rid of a spot, Kendra would have the charm. If you wanted to charm your hair to a different colour for a few hours, Kendra would have the spell. Some people were good with memory charms, others at protective spells, but not Kendra. She was not one to be book smart, but she knew a hell of a lot about the beauty spells.
Finally she had finished her divination essay and the timing was perfect. Dinner was just about to start and as she stuffed her parchment and ink pot away lazily into her satchel, she grabbed a couple of fruit items and some chicken and potatoes along with a dash of salad. As she reached over for the salad bowl she felt something grab her leg. Her eyes widened as she jumped at the touch of something pulling at her leg. Dropping the bowl sending a few leaves of lettuce to fall onto the table, she ducked her head under and slapped the hand of the culprit who was being rather annoying. "Would you quit it!?"
