Quiet and shy, Sianna is easily put off talking to people she doesn’t know. She doesn’t like strangers on a social level but she has always found that taking orders is something she always did well. She quite easily and very happily will listen to people who bother to talk to her because her feelings of inadequacy are so that she never feels what she has to say will be of any use or even listened to. She lacks self appreciation and confidence, which leads to her being a little rash at times.
A soft outer shell hides the deep longing she has to reach out to people. She wants to please everyone, help everyone and do everything she can for everyone she meets. She does find it hard though because she struggles to even look strangers in the eye when she isn’t asking them what they would like to drink with their meal. Her quirky and placid nature also means that she cannot by any means stand up to people.
She doesn’t like herself, she doesn’t like who she has turned out to be. She does not enjoy being as quiet as she is but when she tries to speak up she gives herself a fright and then cannot say anything or look at anyone. She is hard working and does much that many people will never see, the understated, unnoticed, unappreciated girl in your class that will finish your Potions essay when you've fallen asleep on it the night before it is due. She quite willingly will do endless amounts of hard work just for the satisfaction.
Standing very tall at nearly 5’8, Sianna is very slim and looks delicate. Her dark hair is usually no longer then shoulder length, though she prefers to keep it shorter then that. Her dress-sense is very simply, simple colours, simple cuts, simple lines. She does not like to draw attention to herself by dressing fancy or acting out of character so is always on the other side of the scale. Her dark eyes tend to linger on things a moment longer then they should but that is her watchful nature.
Sianna was by no means a planned child and her parents didn’t much fancy the idea of having a child at that point in their marriage. They fought constantly about their differences, her father, the muggle born, feeling betrayed and not knowing what to believe any more and her mother, the witch, feeling guilty that she told him and had not told him sooner. Their fighting was constant from even before her birth and it tool three years from that moment for her father to simply gather his things and leave, putting an end to the fighting for good. Her mother was distraught, obviously, for she had loved her husband for a time and had thought that that was all that mattered. She neither slept nor ate for a week. Then she came out of her room and pretended like none of it had ever happened at all.
This pretension left Sianna confused and she grew quiet, retreated into herself. She and her mother were never close and having no brothers or sisters and so her childhood was exceedingly lonely. Her mother sent her to a muggle primary school where Sigh made no friends because few of them thought she was a little bit too strange for their liking.
The tall, gangly girl was all too glad when she got her Hogwarts letter and she started school in September. Her mother was pleased. She was placed in Hufflepuff by the Sorting Hat where it said she would find her real friends but she was left lonely as ever there as anywhere else. She made a few friends and not many knew even her face let alone her name. Life moved slowly for her but she didn’t mind. Her grades were good and that was enough of a comfort for her, she found.
In her fifth year, Sian’s dad returned and her parents were reunited. It was a wonderful thing for her mother to finally have the man she loved back but her father was different, distant, had eyes only for her mother and never looked at Sianna. This crushed the poor girl further and fed her insecurities. Still, her school was her refuge and she maintained her higher then average marks. She graduated in 2095 and wanted to get away, get away from it all. She left home, not returning to the place where she felt so little connection.
Sianna had a big dream to travel to America, the land of dreams, but her lack of capital has severely hindered that plan. She travelled from city to city, finding work in random pubs and bars to try and keep herself going. She did that for as long as she could and eight years down the line and she was still no nearer her goal, and like a fool it still is her goal. She has been living in Hogsmeade for a few months now and recently bumped into, quite literally, a young blond lass by the name of Grace Marks. All of Grace's papers went flying and the two got talking and that is how they met and how Sianna got the job as waitress at The Majestic Bird.
After working there for a year and a half, Sianna had enough money to get her to America and, with a little help from Grace Marks, she went across the big blue and followed her dreams.
