Name: Rosalind Matthews

Personality:
Rosalind likes to think she's pretty easy to get along with (though she knows one person who might disagree with that). She's thoughtful likes to do things for others wants others to be happy. She's a loving girl yes she even loves her sister. But they don't get along because Rose can be a bit argumentative from time to time. She likes to think since she's older she's always right.
Despite all of that though Rosalind is very intelligent. She loves to learn, always eager to find out what makes something work, or why something is the way that it is. She's got a very inquisitive nature, always asking the good questions the hard questions such as why are some people wizards and some simply muggles. She stumped her mother for days to come with that one. The girl loves to read her head is always buried in a book any kind of book, she had read most of the books in her parents library before she went off to school.
Rosa tends to be secretive too, she doesn't feel the need to confide things to everyone all the time. When she's keeping things she can be sort of withdrawn keeping to herself snapping at others if they try to pry. She's also very independent trying to handle things on her own she doesn't like to ask for help a lot of times which can get her into trouble.
She can also be a bit outspoken about things that she feels are important. This has something to do with her being so passionate about things, causes like muggle rights, or wizarding secrecy. If its a topic like that she won't hesitate to speak her mind and tell someone what she thinks. People don't like her for that but unlike her sister she doesn't really much care what people think of her she only cares about what she thinks of herself.

Where as her sister is more fair, Rosalind had her mothers looks with the dark brown hair, hazel eyes, darker complexion.

Paige was born 15 years earlier January 1st. A New Years day baby. She was born a year earlier than Paige. The two were inseparable growing up always playing together, having fun together that is until they came into their powers. Rosalind being the oldest came into hers first she actually caused Paige to levitate off the bed in their room, this scared Paige to death. After this incident Paige didn't really want to have anything to do with Rosalind now the two constantly fought. Her parents well her mother (being the witch in the family) explained what happened to her but this didn't help Paige to understand she was angry about the levitating
When she was 8 and Paige was seven Rosa got a taste of her own medicine, she had been bothering Paige and made a move as if she was going to pounce when pow she was up in the air. Rosa didn't get mad she found it kind of funny, but her mother did not. She saw that they were using their magic too willy nilly and this worried her. Melinda explained to both her daughters that they lived in a muggle world and couldn't use magic openly because the muggles would never understand.
Rosalind took her mother seriously she loved having magic but refrained from using it. She was the good one whereas Paige had a total lack of control this was one explanation of why the girls weren't allowed in school. Their mother was afraid of them using their powers in front of other kids especially since they at times had trouble controlling them (well Paige did anyway). They were home schooled for several years even when they were old enough to attend Hogwarts. For some reason their mother didn't want them there thought it would be dangerous. She had told them all about the school Rosalind pretended to understand but she really didn't and truly wanted to go.
It wasn't that she minded being home schooled she just wanted to be around others like her she wanted to be able to use her magic and not be afraid that the neighbor kids might see. It was bad enough the family was the talk of the neighborhood. People thought them odd, especially since during their lessons Melinda kept the blinds closed throughout the house so no one could see inside. Rosalind tried to talk to her mother about it once in a while but constantly got rebuffed. Until word trickled down from the family tree that her mother's cousin Will had recently started teaching up at the school. If he was willing to keep an eye on the girls she would be willing to send them. Things were worked out and soon enough both girls were being sent off to school Rosalind to begin her fifth year.
