The Willis Family Tree
(Many of the people did not have children, due to deaths from a family disease. There were some people whom we could not find a family history on, and we could only track down twenty-three generations back.)
Personality:
Darius is your ordinary teen; rebellious, carefree, loud, and obnoxious. Despite his rambunctious personality, Gunner actually loves to read, and learn new things- as long as they don't bore him, for he bores easily. He's fun-loving, and enjoys making a fool of himself most of the time. Though, he's a little awkward when it comes to talking to people he's never met, he makes his rounds here and there, and gets past it.
Birthday:
October 27th
History:
On October 27th, Darius Gunther Willis was born to Harold and Janet, your perfect muggle couple. He was born second to these loving two, four years after his sister, Piper Kesley Willis. Harold and Janet ran a tight, strict household. Everything needed to be neat and tidy, or else. Four years after Darius was born, their third child, Beverly Josephine Willis, was born. And, only two years after that, Fern Janet Willis was born. Harold and Janet had chosen not to have any more kids after Fern, making Darius the only boy out of four kids. Darius, Beverely, and Fern were the three unlucky Willis children, forced to play instruments. Darius was forced to play the piano, Beverley was forced to play the violin, while Fern, the flute. Harold and Janet had chosen to let their eldest child chose if she'd like to play an instrument, and like a smart person, she did not chose one.
From the time Darius was born, the family had lived in Germany, until he was two, when they moved to Romania. The Willis family can speak fluently in both German, and Romanian, and both languages are often used at home. With the sudden change in countries, Harold and Janet had their son start learning how to read, and study by the time he was four. He didn't like many of the books his parents threw at him, but when he could find something interesting, he enjoyed reading and learning. At a young age, Darius showed many signs of rebellion. Instead of practicing the piece was told to for the piano, he would instead make something up. When told to clean his room, he often just left it alone, or added to it. Darius was not a happy participant in his parents' way of life. As he grew older, his parents began to become stricter on him, and restricting his options. Darius, being the person he is, slipped passed them all, and kept his own rules in line. By the time he turned nine, he had gotten himself into many situations. He was often grounded for his mishaps.
On his eleventh birthday, Darius (or Dar by now) had recieved a letter, telling him he was accepted into Durmstrang. Mr. and Mrs. Willis were very displeased with the fact their only son was accepted into some 'Wizarding' school. Begging, and pleading was heard for the next few days, until the parents were forced to allow their son into the school. Daius Gunther Willis was now more of an outcast then ever, and he enjoyed it. Piper took to hating her brother for being a misfit, even though the two never saw eye-to-eye before. Beverley, seven at the time, often questioned if she'd be a witch, and join her brother, and her parents denied it, not wanting their daughter to par-take in this as well.
For the next four years, and Willis's lived in Romania, Darius in Durmstrang, and the girls in their muggle school. Through agreement, Dar had to attend a muggle summer school, if he wanted to go back to his wizarding school the next year. Just before Gunner (a name given to him from his Durmstrang buddies, thanks to his middle name) was going to attend his fifth year in Durmstrang, Harold was called to move to England if he wanted to keep his job. The Willis family set off to live in England, having to learn a whole new language. But the Willis's were good with languages, luckily.
Wanting to keep up with his Wizarding lessons, Dar requested to be transferred to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He'd only heard of the school when he recieved a letter telling him about it only a day after moving into his new home. His parents agreed, only because they hated having him start back up in a Muggle school now. He was forced to continue his muggle summer school, and he was forced to work harder on his piano, and to attend many piano concerts. Nonetheless, Gunner felt it was somewhat reasonable, and accepted.
Darius was sorted into the house of Ravenclaw at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and was placed into the same dorm as Bradyn Reed, thus making them friends. Dar relies on Bray now and then, and is glad he met him instead of some other people first, just because they like to beat on each other.
Summer's comment:
If you look at the family tree, you can see that Dar's the only Willis to carry on the Willis name D: I didn't do that intensionally; I forgot that his cousins (the Yules) didn't share the Willis name. And I forgot that he had three sisters, who'll probably marry, and have their last names changed. -gasp- Poor Dar. He better have a son, otherwise, he's screwed up the Willis tree.[/center]
