[green]Bane walked across the lawn, looking up at a few owls carrying dainty envelopes. Some with larger packages. She fell back onto the grass with a sigh, enjoying the plush feeling of the green. She could feel the sun beating down on her, and the wind rustling her long tassels of hair. Lips curved into a smile as she nervously chewed on her liprings. Allowing her eyes to close she drifted off into a dreamland...er nightmare land?
In her dream she was in the forbidden forest, dancing with Thestrals. Their rotting corpse breath reaching her nostrils. Good thing it's only a dream or she'd probably be losing her small breakfast.[/green]

The day was still young and Richard was tired of sitting in the stuff Ravenclaw common room listening to a group of third years argue about who was better at casting certain spells. It was when they were determined to start blowing up objects that Richard knew he needed to escape and where better then the castle grounds. The sun was warm and there was a light breeze on the air, the grass was lush and the sky the perfect blue and he had tripped over someone lying on the grass. The ground came towards him quickly and after rolling over onto his back Richard sat bolt upright apologising to whoever it was.
“Sorry erm very sorry erm…” He looked around trying to see who he had fallen over only to see a Slytherin still lying on the grass.

[green]She felt someone stumble over her and she grunted, being jerked out of her dreams. She squealed and stretched in the grass. Then she sat upright, blinking her eyes slowly, adjusting to the bright sunlight. "It's fine. Really." She smiled, seeing his crest she realized he was a Ravenclaw. Which by a Slytherin standard should make her want to punch his lights out. But today was not a bad day. She was not about to snap at anyone, let alone if they tripped on her. She put her hand on her stomach where his shoe had grazed her, it hurt a bit but nothing too bad. She bit her lip and ran her hands through the grass. Unsure if she should say anything else.[/green]

((hope you don't mind the intrusion))
Erika wandered across the sun-lit lawns with a smile on her face. Not paying attention to where she was going, she tripped over two students sitting on the grass. So much for being graceful she said to herself. "Oh, sorry, didn't see you there." she apolgized to the girl, who was a Slytherin, then she saw who the boy was, "Richard!" she said with a smile.

Richard had barely been sitting up when another student seemed to pile in on top of them. It seemed to be a very dangerous section to be sitting at with student throwing themselves at each other left right and centre. Feeling even more uncomfortable then he did when he tripped over the Slytherin Richard scrambled to his feet Richard straightened his robes and brushed off all the pieces of grass that were clinging to his robes. He felt like such a fool and to top it off he had large grass stains on his trousers. With a nervous glace he looked back at the Slytherin noticing that she was holding her side and guilt suddenly started to spread through him. But things were only made worse when he heard the sound of Erika call out his name. Turning around he saw the Gryffindor looking up at him and as per usual a smile upon her face. Now he truly did not know what to do. He had injured a Slytherin but also Erika was lying next to him and he feared what she would think if he did not go to her first. Swallowing hard Richard held out his hand to help pull Erika to her feet but he turned to look at the Slytherin.
“I am so sor…sorry. I hope I have not hurt you.”

(No offense I kind of do, but it's too late now I suppose. But it's quite alright.)
[green]She whipped her head around to see the other girl. Her eyes narrowed. Bane did not like girls. They were too drama filled and mean. They were all two-faced. "Why don't you watch where you're going?" She tightened her fist, her arm muscles flexing, trying her best to hold herself back she chewed her lipring. Calm down Bane. She shook her head a bit and looked at the ground. "Sorry." She mumbled and turned away from the two of them. She had to stop assuming everyone was out to get her.[/green]

Erika merely raised her eyebrows at the girl's outburst. Turning to Richard she said, "What have you been up to?"

The Slytherin seemed to have enough fire in her belly to fight away any thoughts of pain his foot might have done and in a way he enjoyed seeing her yell at Erika, another girl with aggression was something but he dared not share these thoughts with Erika, she might just kill him. So instead he turned to look upon the Gryffindor, his hand still out for her to take hold of and slowly he answered her question.
“Odds and ends, school work mainly got…got to focus with exams and all that. Wh…what about you?”
He did not know why he was so nervous but he was trying everything he could to stop his out stretched hand from shaking that he totally forgot that he would end up stuttering his way through the sentence.

Erika raised an eybrow at Richard's stuttering. Grabbing his hand, she pulled him to his feet. "Wooow, I see we still haven't figured out how to keep from stuttering. Whatever shall we do?" she mocked teasingly.

Scott had just walked out of the castle when he spotted some familiar faces. He jogged over to Bane and smiled at her, "Hello, again," he said with a laugh. He looked over at the Gryffindor girl and a mischievous grin spread across his face, "Well, Well, Well. If it isn't Miss Fangs," he said addressing Erika, "What have you been up to lately? Bite anyone lately?" he asked sarcastically.
Scott looked at Richard, "And if it isn't her little boyfriend. Lemme guess Erika, you had to scare him to go out with ya, huh?" he asked jokingly. He looked back down at Bane and gave a goofy grin, "These people bugging you?" he asked.
((don't mind scott... he's an arse in this thread... he's gotta be the rude, thinks hes big and bad gryffindor sometime!))

[green]Bane looked up as Scott made his way over but continued to bite her lip. She still had her back to everyone, her hand on her stomach. She cleared her throat and stood up, and turned to face them. Her deep blue eyes were narrowed at this Erika chick. "You wanna start something, hun." She added the hun sarcastically, her words dripping with distrust. She ran a hand through her black hair and took a step forward. Physically she was ready to attack like a bull, but the voices in her head told her to try and calm herself. Stupid conscience.[/green]

Scott's eyes widened as he watched Bane stand up and confront Erika. 'Not good,' He thought to himself. "Um... Bane. Violence never solved anything!" he said, laughing. "And I'm afraid that if you take another step forward or attack Erika in anyway, I'm gonna have to grab you," he said with a smirk. "NO FIGHTING! Unless it's over me," he said in a joking manner.

[green]Bane was stiff, and it didn't seem like she was gonna back down any time soon. One hand was clenched, the other still to her stomach. She wasn't even being dramatic, she was actually in a lot of pain. She was very thin-skinned as some may say. It was as if she hadn't even heard Scott, like she was drowning everything out. She took another step forward, "Wimp." She hissed. She crossed her arms over her chest. "Hun, you aren't worth my time, I've decided. So if you just leave now there won't be a problem." She smirked.[/green]

Richard smirked at Erika as she mentioned his stuttering. It was a problem of his when he was nervous and he feared that as soon as he opened his mouth his speech would now become even more of a stutter. She instead he just grinned at the Gryffindor, well that was until he heard a voice on the wind and sadly the words of Scott Brooke were not welcome. For some reason Richard expected seventh years to act with some maturity however it seemed that this particular Gryffindor was the exception to this. Raising his eyebrows at Erika Rich turned to face and the Gryffindor and sarcastically began to clap.
“Well done you know our names. Do you want me to award you some house points or merely a pat on the back?”
Richard was not sure how he managed to get through the last sentence without stuttering but he was proud of himself and his confidence slowly started to increase and he stood in front of Erika as if he was protecting her from a spell not mere words from a Slytherin.
“Oy, you should listen to your friend. There is no point fighting over nothing…” It was then Richard noticed that the Bane was still holding her side and he faltered. “…you…you are still holding your side? Merlin are you ok? I did not mean to hurt you erm…sorry…”

Erika snickered. "Sweetheart, if I were you, I wouldn't be picking fights with vampires. I could have you pinned to the ground, and my teeth at your throat in two seconds flat. So if you're smart, you'd watch who you mouth off to!" she hissed, smiling a sickly sweet smile, that showed razor-sharp fangs.
