The brisk, winter winds whipped the side of Robin's face. Strands of hair strayed in her face, forcing her to take on of her hands out of the warm pockets. She tucked the hair behind her ear, and continued looking out towards the mostly frozen lake. The winds whipped her again, making those tucked hairs to come loose and whip her in the face. Pointless. Simply pointless to put the hairs back.
A sigh escaped her lips. A day without causing mayhem, seemed like a day wasted to her. Though, there wasn't really any way she could get into trouble today. There were ways, but they seemed to be hiding in the back of her mind now. Standing there in the cold air, made her think. Think about what? Anything really. Well, it seemed more of, anything but causing trouble. Thoughts bubbled up that she didn't want to think about. Robin's eyes darted towards the forest, and shiver ran down her spine. Not from the cold, though. Subconsciously, she itched one of the scars on her face. She quickly tucked the thoughts of the forest away. She didn't want to enter that place again for another few weeks.
After a few more minutes of standing there, Robin's legs began cramping up, and she commenced sitting on the cold, snow covered ground. Her ears picked up the sound of a crunching snow as she sat, causing her to snicker a little. The cold nipped her fingers, which made ram her hands deeper in her coat pockets. Why didn't I bring mittens? She thought.
A few minutes passed by, and Robin was sure she heard the crunching of snow behind her. She didn't bother looking behind her, thinking it was either the sound of another student skipping out on lunch, as she did, or the sound was being carried over the winds.
