The Character
[/font][/color]Name: Veata Bane (Pronounced Vee-tah)

Age & Year: 16 & Sixth Year
Blood: Pure
Wand: Dragon heartstring core, willow, seven inches. A small Hungarian Horntail is carved masterfully into the handle of the wand, curling itself around to create a comfortable hold.
Personality: Veata is sly and quick witted, usually easy going with sharp, sarcastic comments and a humorous aura. Though her calm demeanor can betray this asset, she is quick to the start of her temper, and when angered she often resorts to irrational outbursts from her mouth as well as her wand.
V is good at befriending others, but is very rarely in a good enough relationship with them to be completely loyal. Often one to gossip and backstab, she enjoys the thrill of a fight. In this young witch, confidence is key, and adds a strange catlike quality to her attitude and movement.
Appearance: V's naturally bright, scarlet hair contrasts her fair skin, which is only occasionally blemished by acne. Stranger than the crimson hair that cascades like a waterfall down her back is her gray eyes. Cold and colorless, they are slit-pupiled, like a cat's. This adds to the feline feel she carries with her grace and arrogance.
Veata is very slender, and of average height. Thin and lightboned as she is, she seems to walk as if gliding, and not really taking steps at all. Long, slender fingers make her hands look more like spiders than hands. Often she can be found wearing her thick rimmed black glasses, only taking them off on special occasions. V is a fully trained animagus, and takes the form of a small cat with radiant eyes.
History: When Veata was eight years old, she witnessed her father torturing and killing her mother with an unforgivable curse. This dark secret haunts Veata's past like a distant shadow, and she tries her best to keep it in whispers that her father was sentenced to life in Azkaban. She stays at Hogwarts through all of the holidays, only returning to her muggle foster-care in the summers.[/size]

[/font]Notes:[/color] My character is made for Slytherin, though a change of house will be tolerated.
Patronus: V's patronus takes the form of an ancient sabretooth cat, long since extinct. It is said by other pureblood families that the Bane's were once felines themselves, in fact sabretoothed cats, until a curse upon a distant relative by a wizard turned them human. All children of Bane blood aquire strange, feline demeanors, the infamous gray cat eyes, and the partonus of a sabretooth cat.
Extras:[/color] Around V's neck at all times is a small, wire-formed robin, attatched to a small chain. The small necklace is an heirloom she aquired when her father was sent to Azkaban for life, and it was given to her in his will. Never forgetting she betrayed her father by allerting the authorities of her mother's death, she wears the necklace as a constant reminder.
Animagus Form: V was taught the talent of animagi from her father when she was young, just before the time he was sent to Azkaban for the murder of his wife. Veata's animagus took the form of a small tabby & white domesticated feline, which was expected by her family due to her manner and looks.
