Gray's a little rash when it comes to certain things, he tends to rush them and has been known to be described as immature and irrational. Gray needs someone who's a lot calmer than he is to keep him in check as his rash side often comes out, especially when he is thrown in a pit of Slytherins which has been known to happen on occasion.
When he's not being all rash and bad decision making boy, he's usually very calm and into himself, like he hides in a shell and wont let people inside. Gray has trust issues and its unclear why but he's sceptical about just anyone. Its clear this may never change, but there has been a few people who have managed to get underneath Gray's skin and has been known to be trusted by Gray.
Gray tries to act like the calm collected person where nothing phases him, he likes to think of himself as not needing anyone, he believes himself to be emotionally strong whereas in reality, he's actually emotionally cut off from everyone else and this isnt a good thing.
This isnt all there is to Gray Deluca. When someone gets to know him, they realise he isnt as strong or as sturdy as he makes out to be, but the poles holding up his image are rather shaky and threaten to collapse on themselves. What Gray needs is a couple of good friends who can show him the word is not ending just yet.
Appearance:
Gray has long brown hair which tends to stick up rather comically, he's still in the process of taming it though it isnt working very well just yet. He has dark brown eyes which are quite close together giving him a rather serious or stressed look. His facial structure is strange but suits him, he stands at about 5'8 and weighs little over 11 stone. He is a rather hefty person, having good upper strength and good muscles in his arms, though he gained this new muscle recently, over summer.
History:
Gray was born in Mexico though raised in the UK. His mother was pregnant with Gray when his mother and father went holidaying in New Mexico, his father was a travel freak and liked to travel around a lot so Gray's mother went with him. Though on their first night in Mexico, Gray's mother went into labour with him.
They stayed in Mexico for a few years, getting their bearings and raising thier child. Though once Gray hit five, his father wanted to go back to the UK, so back they went and Gray started studying privatly in the UK. When Gray was seven, by this point a lot had happened and it got to a point where Gray very rarely see's his parents, and this might contribute to the reason why Gray has trouble trusting. His father owns his own Auction House which he has to spend quite a lot of time in, appraisals themselves take quite a long time, and with Gray's dad being the owner, he has to do all the legal checks.
His mother on the other hand is a qualified surgeon at one of the top hospitals, so she's hardly ever at home. Instead Gray spent most of his time with the carer who became a sort of sister to Gray. Though once Gray reached eleven and heard about Hogwarts, that was the time his "sister" said he wouldnt need her anymore. Gray didnt like this, but accepted she had other families to go and help.
Gray packed up rather reluctantly and left his home in the hills to join the hoards of people at Hogwarts where he was placed in Hufflepuff. He remembered that day well, and even now, he wont recite it.
