How did you hear about this site: I have been searching for a good Harry Potter RPG site for AGES. I have joined several, but have found them all to be too rigid, or practically inactive. Or both. I finally just found this one on the Interent, on....Topsites, maybe?
Any other Comments: I have done a fair amount of RPing, but its been very lax....
The Character
Name:Antoinette Rouge
Nicknames (if any): Antoine
Year: First
ALTHOUGH
I am not adverse to changing this. I don't want to be the only firstie, for example. If there happen to be no firsties in Gryffindor, then stick me in sixth year! Or second. Or third. Whatever.
I have a really pathetic fear of being alone.
House: Gryffindor
Blood: Halfblood.
Wand: Unicorn, Holly, 10 inches
Personality:
Antoinette is outgoing to the last, a true believer in the school of "smiles make the world go round." Raised where she was, she is also extremely curious: this particular trait has gotton her into trouble on occasion. She loves to talk, and loves to listen: more accurately, she loves to learn. She is quite witty, and her sense of humour is sharp. This is fortunate, for Antoinette's best quality, perhaps, is her laugh. It is a sound often heard, for Antoinette tends to surround herself with funny people. Being smart, she has always been able to hold her own in a conversation, and school has never been particularly challenging. Antoinette is fiercely loyal, and once she has latched onto a friendship, she won't let go for anything short of betrayel or death. Bravery is not something Antoinette considers when evaluating herself. It is such a part of her that she considers it to be absolutely necessary in any personality. She will rush into any situation if she deems it worthy of her involvement. Antoinette, although very determined when she sets her mind to it, also has a tendency to jump from glorious idea to glorious idea. This includes flirting with boys, writing stories or poems, or even talking to someone.
Of course, someone like this does not exist. I have only listed her strengths here. Like any human, Antoinette has her weaknesses.
For one, although Antoinette is very brave, she can also be very stupid. She has broken several bones doing stupid things, under the delusional thought that she is helping someone. Perhaps she is not so much brave as fearless: the two are very different. As she has gained age, Antoinette has begun to understand what it is to be brave more, and embraced it.
Also, because Antoinette is so loyal, she has always had very close friends. Unfortunatly, this has bred a particular streak of exclusiveness in her. She is not very open to recieveing new friends if she already posseses several wonderful ones.
Antoinette, as I said, has a certain habit of throwing herself from one glorious idea to glorious idea. Many half completed stories, poems, drawings, letters, and journals lie in her desk, shadows of an idea she once cherished. If Antoinette truly dedicates herself to something, it is a fearsome thing to see: but of the many ideas she comes up with, the few she stick with are in a small minority.
Antoinette is a passionate girl, who loves and hates in equal measure. Because she is so passionate, and so caught up in her mind and imagination, her rage is something to be feared. She holds grudges for ever, and this has led to many rows and burnt bridges.
Appearance:
I am currently waiting for a reply from Ashlee Von Dont (sp?) on whether or not I can use Kristin Dunst as my charrie's face. I hope I can.
Antoinette is tall for her age, at 5 feet. She is quite slender, with long legs and a torso toned from many days of Lacrosse and football(soccer). Her skin is a light shade of ivory, with a slight blush spreading across her high cheekbones. Her small mouth is often split in a grin, and her startlingly blue eyes sparkle with amusment almost constantly. Her eyebrows, light, are often lifted in an expression of sarcasm.
History:
Antoinette's mother was a young witch who attended Hogwarts long ago: a Victori Boleyn. She was a beautiful, enchanting woman, with a fiery, passionate disposition. After leaving Hogwarts, she had taken up a job in Diagon Alley, as a bar mistress at the Leaky Cauldron. After a particularly hard day, where she had been forced to serve several, rather saucy and annoying men who continued to make obscene suggestions, Victoria burst from the pub into the Muggle street outside. As she stood, gasping with rage, a kind muggle-man named Philip Rouge approached her, asking her if he could be of assistance. They got along famously, and after several drinks, enjoyed a rather wild night in a small bed and breakfast. Although the bed had been quite fun, Victoria skipped out on the breakfast, prefering to be on time for her shift at the Leaky Cauldron. Philip awoke, alone, without a trace of his date, but for several lipstick prints on the wineglass at the table.
Nine months later, Philip was sitting in his room, enjoying a good read. The book was called Atonement, and just as Briony (in the story,) stormed out of the nursury, a rather peculiar sound reached his ears. It sounded like a high pitched wailing, much like a siren, but not as loud. Cautiously, Philip opened the door, and what did he find there but a baby, wrapped in a scarlet blanket and clutching a lavender envelope that smelled faintly of perfume.
The letter explained that it was, in fact, his child, and that Victoria was unable to care for her herself.
Philip was, if anything, an honorable man, so he took the baby in. Although they had their troubles at first, as a man alone with a baby will, they got along famously before long. Philip's family was rather bemused, but they trusted Philip enough to let him alone. Philip was, at the time, Assistant to the Queen of England's Assistant. The Assistant of the Queen of the ENgland, also called the Major by the palace servants, takes care of much of the guiding of Buckingham palace, as well as handling much of the Queen's daily affairs. Philip rose in the ranks quickly, until he himself was the Major. Philip proved to be exceptionarily good at the job. He and the Queen, over time, nurtured a strong friendship, and when Antoinette was eight, he was knighted. BY that time, he was serving more as a Head Hancho of Buckingham, rather than a Planner, although the Queen still regarded him as a close, unofficial advisor. Antoinette grew up in Buckingham palace.
Antoinette grew up at Buckingham, enjoying the run of the palace. She was educated alongside two of the royal princes, and as young children, they used to slide up and down corridors, their laughter echoing in the empty marble halls. It was a near perfect childhood, and Antoinette rarely missed a mother. She and her father were very close, reading late into the night, and sharing a love of cross word puzzles.
At age nine, Antoinette switched to a private school in London, where she thrived. Surrounded by a close group of girls, Antoinette made her first forays into the world of makeup and fashion.
Growing up in a palace, Antoinette learned the arts of sneaking and spying. Being curious, she began to pick up bits and pieces others had left behind.....
Antoinette loves to laugh, draw, ride, play, smile, skip, jump, run, bike, write, paint, giggle, talk, organize, learn, listne, and a multitude of other things.
