"Ahh...how sweet," Maria said, taking out the sarcasm that she usually would have when saying that. It really was sweet that this girl had found someone who saw her as more than just a vampire. Maria knew that it must be pretty difficult for her to just be herself when the whole school knew that she was a blood-sucker.
"It must be hard to just be an average student, huh?" Maria said thinking about it. "I mean with the whole school knowing that you are a blood-sucker and all. I guess people do treat you differently than they would anyone else. Never really thought about it much, but it must suck to be you sometimes." Once again Maria had pointed out things in her rather blunt, insensitive way and didn't worry in the slightest about the girl's feelings.
