It had gotten to the point of no return as she tried to finish her potions essay that was due to be handed to the Professor in just a few hours time. It was just not flowing for her, and every minute she spent thinking up answers, the more furious she became with herself and her work. Screwing up another piece of parchment, she threw it into the small growing pile by her feet as she sat at the Gryffindor stands on the quidditch field. The yelps and shouts coming from the Gryffindor team as they practiced disturbed her every so often and caused her to lift her head up and pay attention to how they were doing.
Lowering her head again, she stared blankly at the page and focused on the indents the previous page had left. Feeling the angry heat rise up in her , she huffed and thrust her papers into her bag, kicking the pile of paper balls as she hurried to get away from the homework prison tower she had created for herself. She was just going to have to do it later or just not hand it in at all. Storming all the way back to the common room, she didn’t stop until she was at the sofa, and flopped onto it, uncaring if anybody else was looking at her funny. Mumbling about potions and how stupid it was, and something about quidditch putting her off, she flicked her shoes off and propped her legs up onto the sofa, taking up the entire space. It was safe to say Brooke liked to think she was the queen of Gryffindor, after all she certainly was social and she wasn’t shy in the slightest. Brooke thought back and tried to remember if she had ever blushed, but could not remember such a time and shrugged in defeat.
Looking around at eye level, her eyes wandered to a newspaper on a small table next to the couch, stretching to retrieve it, she unfolded it on her lap and began to read.

Tapping his quill on the table, his eyes scanning numerous books to find the answer of the last question. It was rare to see Bryn doing homework, but if he was honest, anything was better than facing Brooke right now. He had heard a few rumours around the castle, and being the protective brotherly person he was, he wasn’t really that thrilled by what he had heard, since he only heard it this morning too, he was obviously still fuming and knowing the Gryffindors were in study mode today, well some of them, it was doubtful she would even entertain the Common Room, which is what Bryn had banked on. Bryn wasn’t happy with his wayward sister at the minute, and he knew if she ran into him now, he would definatly have something to say about what he had heard. Of course, if he ran across those two lads, he would be saying more to them aswell, something along the lines of ‘stay away,’ but in more words and greater detail. Nobody was good enough for Brooke, not even Zayne.
The portrait flung open, and in stormed Brooke, who seemed to be around the same level of annoyed as Bryn was, especially when he had had people coming upto him asking if Brooke was as easy as her reputation stated. Bryn had obviously lost the plot on hearing this, and sent a good few people upto the hospital wing, and in his eyes, they seriously deserved it. The twins were usually inseparable, but since Brooke had been gaining this not-so-nice reputation of hers, everyone had noticed Bryn had been with her less and less and getting annoyed at her more and more, and now her latest conquest was a person who Bryn wouldn’t trust holding a spoon, let alone his sister. Bryn had never exactly been fond of Yorick, his own reputation reached Bryn’s ears many years ago and no way was he going to approve of him and Brooke, never in a million years. He would sooner approve of one of the Slytherins with his sister, than that idiot.
Once Bryn had successfully finished his own homework, he pushed everything back into his bag and walked over to Brooke, his eyes rather cold, his stance defensive and his arms folded. “You’re getting a reputation you know.” Bryn spoke dryly. “And its not one I really like my sister having.” It was obvious Bryn was a little on edge, because they were twins, everyone assumed them to be the same, so thanks to her bad reputation, his was being tarnished also, and that was something he would not allow. He just couldn’t get his head around her choices, Toby. What was good about him? Arrogant, lady loving, stuck up his own arse and one of these “populars.” Yorick, well known for his lies, deceit and unloyalty. God, she couldn’t half pick them could she?
