[RC.Room] Wondering in the Common Room

[Jade Lee]

Jade was tasting and turning unable to go to sleep. She crept out of her bed, landing lighlty on her feet. As everyone slept, she put on her robes making her way towards the Common room stairs. Once she had made it all the way down, she saw no one around, ehich was a good thing.

She didn't want to be stop by snot like Perfect, only to be sent back into her room. Jade took out her wand, whispering a few words sending a fire right out of her wand towards the fire place. She smiled grateful for her abilities she sat down the nearest chair . It felt soft and comfortable against her body, it had been a long time since she could really relax. Everyone seem so buy with their life, while her seem to move so slowly, without any progress. Jade had not even written to her parents in a while, I wonder how they were doing she though. Jade sat quietly resting her head back, humming to herself.

[Madeline Weston]

Madeline lay spread out on her bed, trying to sleep but completely unable to. This was the third time in a week that she hadn't been able to sleep and it was starting to annoy her. In fact, she was beginning to think that she may have been an insomniac. Another sigh and she finally decided to get out of bed. No use laying there if you aren't going to sleep. She told herself as she willed herself to move.

It took a while, but finally Madeline was up and walking to the dormitory doors. They opened quietly, and Maddie continued down the stairs to the Common room. To her surprise the fireplace was lit, and for a moment she paused, hesitant to continue. What if it was a Prefect? That was the last thing she wanted, Madeline hated getting in trouble, but then again-even if it was a Prefect what could they do? Send her back to bed? Madeline snorted at the thought and resumed her journey to her favorite chair.

She sat down in a chair and immediately noticed the other person. It was a girl around her age with red hair. She sat with her eyes closed and for a moment Maddie thought that she was asleep. Until she heard a low humming noise coming from her. "So you can't sleep as well?" She asked, though she didn't wait for a reply. "Welcome to the club, fellow insomniac. I'm Madeline Weston, third year, in case you're wondering."

Transfiguration of an inanimate object is some of the most difficult forms of the craft a student can face. So many things can go... Alexis never found out what could go because for the fifth time her roommate woke up and yelled at her to shut the light out. She had been trying to study for her exam coming up in a few days time. Late into the night meant nothing to her since she had done it so many times before but her bunkmate didn't have the same work ethic and found Alexis rude for trying to earn a good grade.

So she shut off the light only because she was trying to be nice and not cause yet another fight. Trying to sleep was a challenge in and of it self. She was wired up now and simply lay there tossing and turning unable to focus on the necessity that was sleep. She was making so much noise she knew that she'd wake up the sleeping bear and get herself into more trouble.

A light bulb went off and she realized what she should have done in the first place. Grabbing her books off the floor she grabbed her robe hanging on the door and threw it on. Opening the door a crack she squeezed right through it.

Her footsteps were muffled by the carpeted stairs so no one would hear her coming until it was too late. Book held closely to her chest Alexis wondered why she hadn't thought of this earlier. It would have saved her a lot of time and a lot of grief. Preparing to have a room all to herself for a few hours she was disheartened to see that she wasn't the only one who thought of coming down there.

Two other girls were there, Alexis figured at least they were up so they wouldn't get mad if she wanted some study time. "Hey there long night for you too huh? Mind if I study a bit?" It was a common room she didn't really have to ask but she thought it might be nice to do for the sake of peace.[/size]

Jade had jumped when she heard a voice coming from her right direction. It was a girl not much younger than her who seem tireless as well. Jade sat unaware what to say until she had introduce herself as Madeline Weston, what a nice name she had thought.
Jade was about to introducer herself when yet again, another girl had appear.

She closed her mouth slightly, as the other girl whom had not introduce herself ask to study. Of course she can study she was saying to herself, why not? She sat in silent for a bit and had decided, might as well have company while, I'm awake. "I'm Jade Lee, fourth year." she said slowly, she nodded at the other girl, not mining at all actually.

"The beds are to perfect." she started out. Jade was a bit weird at times, when answering others question. But it was true, you need little nots and turn in them beds. Its as if they hand made them perfect just for you, and no one else.

[Madeline Weston]

"Hey there long night for you too huh? Mind if I study a bit?" Another girl asked, holding several books in her hands. Madeline frowned, giving the girl(who's name she had let to find out) an odd look. "You actually want to study?" She asked, saying the word 'study' as if it was a curse. "Well, whatever floats your boat I guess." Madeline waved her hand at all of the available seats. "Go ahead and pop a squat. I don't mind."

Turning back to Jade Maddie nodded at her words. "I 'spose that's part of it as well. The beds are all flat and stuff, no personality to them at all." She paused, then added. "I wonder if they do it on purpose. The other houses, I mean. You know, so that we won't get enough sleep, and pass out during our classes and get house points taken away. It's like a giant conspiracy or something." Madeline nodded, approving her own idea. "Yeah, that's definitely it. What do you guys think?"

"Why would you think of such a theory like that?" she asked Madeline back. Really she just a different opinion about the beds, maybe they did made differently for each person? Maybe it was saying something about each person, could it be? Oh that non sense babbling about beds.

Jade looked over at the other girl, who had yet to move from her spot. She stared her down, she was very pretty in her eyes. It was hard not too look away, but she managed to move her focus towards the fire. It sparkel in her eyes, as the blaze became arouse. Jade love fire, it felt good against her skin.

How could she have been so rude? Her mother taught her better than that hadn't she. Oh if she could see her daughter now she probably would have smacked her little head. They were nice enough not to bring it up and remind her that she was one rude nelly. They actually told her she could sit there and study. Alexis smiled at them and walked further in. She felt a bit foolish but so far they didn't seem mean.

One of the girls the one who introduced herself as Jade looked at her making Alexis smile a bit. "Sorry girls I'm not usually such a dunce it's just late and I've been studying or at least trying to for hours. My roommate finally got annoyed enough at me to tell me to shut the lights, but I couldn't sleep so I figured that I could come down here and study. I didn't think anyone else would be down there. Oh shoot I still forgot, to introduce myself, my manners seem to have gone away. I'm Alexis Cane." She knew that she wasn't going to be able to study if there were others there. Plus they looked like they were having fun.

"So you guys couldn't sleep either or are you just into hanging out this late?" Some people were night owls they were more alive during the night than during the day, Alexis was the total opposite, she loved the day time all the sunshine, but lately she was finding herself up at night a lot.

So she had been the one with the lights on. Jade had ignored her, while some other complain of her staying up late working on her assignments. It hadn't effect her the least, but yes she was sort of a night owl. She was always up late when she was back home. But since been here, her sleeping pattern was off balance.

"Yes I am a night owl." she said answering Alexis question. Madeline seemed a little up while, Jade mood was sort of calm. She had always acted different denping who was around. Jade was said to be in unusual person, people who knew her always had commented her on that. But she just ignored them, no one can tell me how I am.
