[/i]. Muggles came up with some interesting stories, now didn’t they? Her grey-blue eyes flicked across the pages, absorbing the words written by this Robert Cormier person, her mind creating compelling images for her to view just as a muggle teen would watch one of those … televisions? Yes, that’s right. An eyebrow arched precariously as she re-read a section. Such a depressing book...[/size][/ul]

( Side note: if you didn't check my profile, basics are Name: Rah-kel Mo-nay. Witch x veela. Hoping to be a 5th year gryffindor ) Cold, wet snow. Racquel almost despised it, but it came year after year. There was no stopping it. By now, she was almost completely immune to it--or perhaps she was just forced to go out in it more often than she used to. Though, she still donned her heaviest cloak and headed outside to enjoy the beautiful scenery. She was on her way to her favorite spot--the lake--rain or shine, winter or summer it just took her breath away. There weren't lakes in the suburbs of her hometown. Racquel walked on, her head ducked into her scarf and her gloved hands as far in her pockets as they could go; she must look like a freak ( as much of a freak that a veela can appear to be, anyway ) but she didn't care. Her appearance to others was never of her concern, why should it be? Squinting against the cold, she spotted someone. She didn't recognize the girl, but what's the harm in meeting someone new? Racquel approached the girl from behind. She jumped up a bit to grab a low-hanging tree branch. After a breif struggle, she hoisted herself up and sat in the nook of the tree. She knew that a tree would be warmer than the rocks down below, because it had to retain some heat to stay alive. Racquel knew she must be a heck of a lot more comfortable than the girl, even if she plopped down in a pile of snow. "He~y down there, hope I didn't poor snow down on you. It's far too cold out as it is." She said, in a friendly but hopefully not creepy voice.
