February always confused Daphne, it was nothing to do with the weather or even the surprising lack of work the Professors where giving them, it was the fact that it was 28 days. There are loads of months with 31 days, why not just take a day or two off those and be done with it, she could not even find any logical reasons in the books in the library. The muggle books hinted that it was all the Romans fault but Daphne was slowly coming to the conclusion that no one really liked February.
Feeling increasingly frustrated by it all Daphne snapped the book shut and slammed it down onto the table causing a few of her fellow house mates to look around at her to show their disgust. But Daphne did not care, she did not mind dirty looks or even the fact they would now be twittering away to each other at how much of a loner she was, all that mattered was the predicament that Daphne did not know the answer to something.
Pouring herself a cup of tea she absentmindedly started to stir her tea, lost in her thoughts and not even noticing that she was spilling the contents. She needed a diversion…

Casey groggily opened an eye, it was still dark, thats the only issue with this time of the year, still dark at silly hours of the day, it was now eight, or so his quidditch clock read. However it did have a tendency to change, the little quidditch players buzzing around it enjoyed playing pranks to say the least, they enjoyed watching him curse and run to lessons when they changed his alarm time. Sitting up he looked around, all his housies had disappeared...They must have headed of to breakfast already.
Clambering out of bed, Casey reached for his robes and other items of clothing, which were perched precariously on top of his guitar. Rubbing his eyes he quickly got changed and moved his guitar to his bed, he could hardly let it become damaged leant upon the chair. He then made his way down the stairs through the commonroom to the room of many delicacies at this hour, the great hall.
Making his way through the gaps between the usual large house tables to greet his housies, whom had decided not to wake him for breakfast after all. However he then heard a large amount of giggling to his right, and just as he walked past, now being a relatively self conscious and quiet fellow, he began to worry immediately...had he forgotten his jeans again... Casey looked downward and let a huge sigh of relief escape his lips as he saw his jeans covering his legs. Swivelling on the spot he looked for the source of the commotion. There sat a Ravenclaw apparently lost in thought spilling the precious liquid known as tea. “The outrage!” he thought to himself.
Casey had no idea what came over him, being a generally quiet chap, he would never in a million years done anything about this. However on this occasion he found himself heading straight for the girl. Coughing slightly to get her attention he began “You do know that that is a criminal offence, don’t you? Wasting tea, i’m afraid i shall have to report you.” Casey shook his head slightly in disappointment, but then smiling he said with a slight shrug of the shoulders. “But.. I suppose I can let you off, if you promise never to do such an awful thing again.”

That diversion came in the shape of a Gryffindor, the fact that someone was talking to her was one thing, then the person not being in her own house and the most surprising of all was the fact that he was male. Slowly zoning back to reality Daphne gave a small hummm at the mention of reporting something, she did not have a clue what this guy was on about and when he mentioned something about an awful thing she guessed he must have got his wires crossed and was mistaking her for someone else.
“I am sorry love I think you have the wrong…”
Daphne broke off as she finally realised what had been happening and what the Gryffindor was going on about. Her eyes grew wide with shock and instead of worrying about spilling the drink on the table her first worry was the book. In her haste to make sure that the pages would not be ruined by coming into contact with the liquid she jerked her hand too quickly and as a result ended up dragging the tea cup down with her and the contents soon flowed out off the sideways cup.
Letting out a small squeak Daphne quickly picked up the book and lifted it off the table as she watched the tea spread across the table amazingly stopping just before the edge. With a slight frown Daphne looked up at the Gryffindor and gave a very weak and nervous laugh.
“What is the punishment for spilling the whole cup?”

Casey observed the Ravenclaw girl, as she was apparently at a loss for what he was on about. People had a tendency to ask him to repeat sentences on occasion, because he generally became nervous and spoke rather fast so that no one other than a mer-person could understand what he was jabbering on about. However this was a new one, she actually didn’t have the foggiest idea. Wondering whether he should take it personally or not, however he decided against it. Case was a relatively easygoing man, and this was slightly too amusing, he had to fight hard not to laugh at her complete brain fade.
He could only then do nothing but watch on as the girl scrabbled about the table top trying to save her book, though as she did so she emptied the entire contents of the cup of the table. Wincing as the liquid spread across the surface, Casey swiftly withdrew his wand, and with a slight flick of his wrist the liquid stopped spreading and began to collect and spiral upwards. With another small flick, the cup shot upwards, collecting the liquid as it fell back toward the table once again. The tea sloshed up against the insides of the cup, though did not spill over the top. The cup then floated over into Casey’s free hand, looking down into it contents he laughed slightly, and then smiling at the girl he declared “I think...we shall pour you a fresh cup, this one comes avec a la fly and added dust.”
Casey could not help but laugh at her as she bore a guilty expression and enquired as to the penalty for the entire cup. Shaking his head as if he were deliberating a hard punishment, and he could not find a way of making it any lighter and that it was a hopeless case. “I think it shall have to be..” Casey pretended to stroke a fake beard before continuing, “It shall have to be drinking a large mug of tea with sugar!” And he added a loud gasp for effect. “The horror! I know you are thinking, but i’m afraid you spilt far too much and you cannot possibly redeem yourself in any other way!” Though Case then smiled at her lightly.

This Gryffindor was clearly skilled at Charms, that was clear simply for the fact that he managed to return all the spilt to the cup although as her pointed out it has picked up a few odds and ends along the way. He seemed a very interesting character, most likely part of Harrison and Blake gang, but then he did not have the full self belief and confidence that everyone would automatically love them and they could charm there way out of any situation. This Gryffindor seemed a little more timid, a bit more cautious although he still made her laugh.
Daphne waited with baited breath for him to decide her punishment, she knew it was only a jovial situation but she still felt slightly foolish for spilling her drink while being in a blind panic at the mere possibility that her book might become damaged. As he concluded what her punishment would be the Ravenclaw let out a small gasp finding it hard not to play along.
“Oh no please, anything but that. It is unnatural.” The Ravenclaw rolled her eyes before starting to pour herself a fresh cup of tea and adding two sugars in, just like normal. Holding the mug tightly in her hands Daphne looked up at the Gryffindor with a small frown. “Are you just going to stand there and watch me drink tea or are you going to run along to the rest of your Gryffindor friends?”
