“Reminds me of childhood memories, where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky”
Jody sung along to herself while she pretend her thighs were drums and slapped her palms against them in the rhythm of the music. She was in a trance as she adjusted her headphones connected to her mp3 player, a typical muggle thing to have. The headphones always managed to slip out of the crook of her ear as she walked, and it was a constant battle between her and her left ear to keep it in. Pushing it in with force, she finally lifted her head as she dodged around a few people, swerving in between them with dexterity, avoid bodily contact as if they were infected with a bout of the black plague. Shuddering at the thought, she continued to softly sing to herself.
“Oh, sweet child o’mine”
A fight that broke out in the main entrance caught her eye, and as she continued to walk her head kept watching the fight break loose, and as a smirk made its way across her face, she bumped hard into something, or someone, sending her petite frame flying backwards and her music player to elevate from her hand in a careless attempt to scarper before crashing to the stone ground. Managing to land on her back and not knock her head on the floor, Jody lifted herself up onto her elbows before seeing the mess that her player was in and moaning.
“Jesus, this is the second one in a year...why me?” she questioned herself quietly before rolling onto her front and pushing herself up to her knees, dusting off her elbows and front. As she crawled over to her now history of a music player, it had neared the fight and the ever growing crowd that was forming. Attempting to pick up the shards of what remained (okay, maybe not that bad, but it was pretty ruined) she pushed her hand into the feet of the crowd trying to reach it from a distance, before crack.
“Owwww, for merlin’s sa, owww” she managed to say, pulling back her hand and observing her now trampled fingers that were already red and felt like they were pulsing all by themselves.

Coming from a girl on her knees near the crowd, eyes locked on her red and swelling fingers which had probably just been stepped on. "Oy!" Willa dropped down from her perch, swimming through the crowd to bop the Gryffindor responsible on the shoulder for stepping on her. "Watch where you put your feet next time, you great lummox." She scolded him, but there was a grin on her face; they were housemates, they couldn't help but be on the same side here. Still though, they should have been more careful. As an arc was formed around her, wide enough to see the broken pieces and prevent any more stepping-ons from happening, Willa bent down to help her, gathering broken bits in her palm before handing them over. "Bummer." She said with a small frown, figuring the gadget probably looked pretty cool before it was smashed. "You alright?" Flashing a glance back to her housemate as if to silently tell him seriously this time to watch it, the fifth year shook her head with a grin. "Some people are so clumsy, me included." Scooping up another plastic, electricky thing, Willa deposited it into the Hufflepuff's hand. "I'm Willa."[/ul]

As Jody sat on the dirty stone floor utterly disgruntled at her shattered music player and in pain as sharp stings lead up her finger and spread out into her palm from some oaf stepping on her hand, she let out a big sigh as she shook her hand wildly, expecting the pain to fly off her hand but alas it did not. Grasping it and putting pressure onto her fingers, she winced slightly as the sting became worse, but gradually faded.
Pushing herself away quickly from the crowd with her foot, she slid lightly over the stone floor, grasping part of the gadget with a mournful look on her face. She thought of how she could possibly repair it with magic, but she doubted it was fixable, it was well and truly broken. Letting another sigh escape her lips, she heard a new voice and a new presence coming into the crowd. Looking up, she saw a gryffindor with pink streaks in her hair focussing her attention on her. Wait, attention was actually on Jody for a second? No, she wasn't talking to her. Looking around and behind her, Jody then looked back down to her crumpled hand and matching gadget before the voice asked if she was alright.
"Oh, erm yeah I'm okay I guess" she said in surprise. Pushing herself up so she was now standing, the girl deposited the shards back into the hufflepuff's hand before Jody greeted her with a smile. Wiping her butt free from dirt, she looked back up to the Gryffindor, 'great another one taller than me' 'Of course she is, your tiny' her mind fought back at herself. "Willa?" she asked questioningly, asking if she had said it right. "I'm Jody Tameryn, Hufflepuff solitudinarian I guess" she said with a small tug from the side of her lips
