The late spring sun was shinning in through the dusty windows of the school library, if you looked closely enough the specks of dust could be seen floating around in the air waiting to be disturbed by the next gust of wind to come in through the open window or for unsuspecting student to walk through it all. Offley Marsh just sat down at one of the desks that were scattered across the library and started out of the window. There were a few open books in front of her but for once her attention was on the outside world and not the factual one of the library.
The few from the fourth floor corridor was just as spectacular as any of the other floors, but today Offley was fascinated by a flock of birds dive bombing the lake trying to avoid the trashing tentacles of the Giant Squid. With a small sigh Offley pushed herself out of the chair and picked up her book, slowly walking around the quiet library. It was clear it was a nice day simply due to the loss of students, even during the build up to exams it just took the sun to shine for everyone to forget about there studies and flock to lake or Hogsmeade.
Placing a few more books into their rightful place on the shelves the red haired Librarian gave a loud groan as she heard the main library doors close once more and the last group of students leave. The library was too quite, no sounds of frantic whispering, the sound of books snapping, quills scratching on parchment and coughing as clouds of dust fly up from the unused books. It dawned on her how much these bookshelves had turned into prison walls and she was her own jail keeper, not letting herself escape.
