What a boring Sunday. Via had already been to Herbology and cared after her special mandrake Sunny, she had even cleaned up in the greenhouses due to boredom. All homework had been completed and she had done the rounds and handed them in to the teachers. It wasn’t a pleasant enough day for her to be spending outside, as it was raining slightly and was very dull overhead.
Looking back at her book that she was reading, 'Frankenstein', she had almost finished it and it was a very great classic indeed. Professor Vaid had told her about it as he was a Muggle and he had read it when he was a kid. He had let her borrow the book in her last Occlumency lesson.
Giving a slight sigh, she stared out of the Hufflepuff window as she sat curled up in the overly large yellow and black victorianesque styled chair next to it. Placing the book on the window sill, she patted it in it's place. Pushing herself up with her foot, she straightened herself up and pulled herself out of the chair. It was no good her being cooped up in the Common Room, so smiling at a younger Hufflepuff that caught her line of vision, she gave them a friendly smile before pushing open the door and leaving the common room.
Walking around the castle, she managed to lap the castle once before she bumped into someone she had not seen for a while. Her Cousin, and Slytherin, Evra. When Via saw Evra usually, she was pleased to see a fellow family member, but he was disgusted in her everytime he saw her, being a Hufflepuff and all. Still, he was family and there wasn’t much either of them could do about it.
“Evra, How’ve you been?! I’ve not seen you for a while”

Storming through the corridors in a somewhat fouler mood than usual, even for himself; being so Slytherin-esque all the time. Evra had been crossed by a fellow Slytherin earlier to day, and what an insult it was, a lower year, of barely any pure blood, he was more hufflepuff than anything, and yet he tainted his commonroom.
It was a dull day and it was raining continuously which generally would have improved his mood, however not today. Moving swiftly through the corridors, waiting for the next unsuspecting person to cross him in the corridor. Oh how they would suffer. Clenching his fists with anger, as the image of the insufferable boy came to his mind. Sneering he rounded a corner, when some imbecile bounded into him. It was their unlucky day indeed, still sneering he looked toward the unfortunate. All loathing of the previous person went from his mind, a new form of hatred entered his mind. How amusing it was to be this person who would feel his wrath.
Evra smirked at his cousin, she was by far the worse thing in this castle. She was not a mud blood in fact quite the opposite she was blood traitorous filth. Pure blood, infact one of his own, his uncles side of the family, a raging bunch of Hufflepuffs. Prancing about with daisy chains all through summer, ruining the pure house of their forefathers. Whatever had they done to deserve such unworthy family connections. However above all things he loathed her because she held a gift as to which is not remotely entitled to her, a Parselmouth indeed. Quite repulsive, she was indeed the largest stain upon the family with no common decency or the slightest of respect for her heritage.
Evra did however have a slight problem, he was not allowed to harm her, only mentally, they may be raging puffs of the Huffle variety but they were family, and his parents would not disown their pureblood relatives as easily as their son did. “Hi, Via. Oh happy as ever, and you?” Evra said with a feigned politeness, though not hiding the venom from his tone. It did not bother him. “Yes, us Slytherins dwell is different parts of the castle, unlike you other common houses.” He continued with a smirk.

The tone in her cousins voice was not a pleasant one, and the look on his face seemed to match the tone of his voice. How vile he could be actually could scare her sometimes, but still, he was family. She knew she was hated by him, like all her father side of the family. Still, all the hate was on their side, and none came from her. She was peaceful within and without, and would never dream of lifting her wand to them, unless they did it to her of course...
As Via searched Evra’s face, she could see the hatred for her in his eyes, and an evil smirked played upon his face. Yes, he detested her and it was clearly visible, no matter what words came out of his mouth, the hate was always there. Sometimes she just wanted to said to him ‘stop being so bitter, if I could give you the power of parseltongue then I would’ but the words never made it past her mind. Not once did she dare enough to say those words. Knowing Evra’s temper, he would just kill her where she stood.
"Us Slytherins dwell is different parts of the castle, unlike you other common houses"
Common houses? Hmph, maybe if he opened his eyes, he would see that they were equal. They were the same. Surely her being in Hufflepuff, a mere personality trait didn’t matter? What about being the best witch or wizard you can be, and protecting your family? Did non of that matter to the slytherin side of hers? They were so blinded by being pureblooded snakes that they failed to see the rest of all that mattered. Being pureblood was magnificent, and a rarity becoming rarer by the day. Via was proud of her pureblood roots, but would never think herself better than anyone else, the thought would never cross her mind.
“Not terrorising any younger students today?”she said, trying not to be too overfriendly. On many occasions her bubbliness and friendliness had angered Evra, and she hated confrontations.
