Felicity just exited the common room when several students ran past her. One knocked into her and both went sprawling onto the floor. The kid, a Slytherin it seemed, just got up and ran after his friends. Fay let out a small groan and stood shakly.
She went over to collect her books, but then stopped, mostly in shock. The little buggers had grabbed her books, and let them tumble down the stairs. So, strewn about the steps, were her papers and books. Fay's eyebrow twitched, and her hand clenched into a fist. Stupid kids.
Most likely, the little buggers had planned this. Anyone and everyone were always targets to the kids' pranks. Fay had been a target to a few of said pranks, because for some reason people liked to pick on the Ravenclaws. The bookworms.
With a sigh, Felicity started to collect her papers. Well, this was a crappy way to start the day, wasn't it?

Ellie bounced down the stairs, paper in hand, going to find the lovely Fay and give her back her essay that she had let Ellie borrow the day before. Honestly, she could kiss her. Ellie had saved so much time and had gotten the rest of her homework done as well, all thanks to the sainthood of miss Felicity Locke.
Ellie saw a figure crouched on the stairs. She hurried to help it, but when she saw who it was, she laughed. "Lose something?" She said to Fay. With that she bent down on the step she was standing and picked up a few papers and stacked them together in her hands.
"Lose your grip or something?" Ellie asked with a smile, seeing that Fay wasn't in the best mood. Ellie was determined to put her friends in a great mood.

Felicity had just picked up her last book, and was moving toward a stack of papers, when someone else had picked up her stuff. Blinking, Fay glanced up to see who it was. Ellie's smiling face was looking down at her.
"Some Slytherin kids came and tripped me nad then dropped my books down the stairs. For once I didn't do this myself!"
She took the papers from El's hands and grinned. "Thanks for the help." Fay shoved her books and such back into her bag and blew some hair out of her face. She held out her arm to Ellie.
"Walk with me? I have no place to go and no place to be."

Ellie laughed. "Just like those Slytherins." Ellie said shaking her head. They really were a nuisance. Maybe they should just disallow Slytherins to go to Hogwarts. Like, if you're sorted into Slytherin, you're shipped off to Durmstrang never to be seen again. Ellie would sure they would be happier anyway.
"No problem." Ellie said, giving Fay the rest of her papers. "Oh, Here." Ellie said, taking the paper Fay had given her to borrow back. She had shoved it in her robe pocket without even thinking and it had become slightly crumpled. Trying to smooth it out, Ellie gave Fay and small smile. "Well, almost perfect." She said handing it to the Ravenclaw. "It helped a lot if thats any consolation for the fact that I crumpled it a tiny bit!" Ellie said with her big puppy dog eyes that she had given Fay to get the paper in the first place.
Ellie smiled and linked arms with Fay. "Of course Dahhhling." Ellie said in an over exaggerated voice. "Where to?" Ellie said with a smile, glancing at Fay.
She then remember her awkward shopping trip with Bray and how she thought that he may be snogging Fay on the side. The thought made her heart sink, however she smiled at her friend. Ellie wasn't going to let anything stand in the way of friendship. How brave, she should have been a Gryffindor.

Felicity grinned and tucked the rest of her papers into her bag. She blinked at the essay, momentarily forgetting that she had given it to Ellie. "Oh!" Fay smacked the palm of her hand against her head. "Ah I'm so forgetful, thanks El."
She laughed at Ellie's voice. "Well I don't know dearest. Shall we walk around the school, flaunting our beauty? We shall make those boys beg for us!" Fay copied Ellie's voice and tossed her hair over her shoulder dramatically.
The little veela girl already knew about Ellie's crush on her friend. Go veela magic! And, as she could tell, Bray had his own little crush on the Puff. Oh this was so exciting!
"Hey Ellliiiieee." Felicity dragged out the girl's name, a smile on her lips. "I've gotta secret that I think you want to know." She giggled and did a little skip. Bray could kill her later for this.

"No problem!" Ellie said, she had actually forgotten she had it also, lucky for Ellie she misplaced another paper and came upon Fay's essay, otherwise, it might have never gotten back to its owner.
"Sounds lovely." Ellie said with a smile. It had been a long time since Ellie had someone to call a close friend. The Hufflepuff had many acquaintances, but Ellie was so nice to everyone it was hard for her to stay together with one group. However, she felt as though she might have found her notch.
"What?" Ellie said, her face getting pink immediately. She sort of knew what Fay was going to say, but didn't at the same time. Ah, the joys of being fifteen years old.

Felicity grinned and laughed, laying her arm around Ellie's shoulders. She had to admit --not to be vain or anything-- but Fay had many 'friends'. She talked to new people almost daily, and rarely ever made enemies. But, even with all of that, Felicity still only had a few friends whom she really trusted. Ellie, in Fay's mind, was on that list.
"You're blushing? Oh dear do you already know?"
Fay blinked at El and tilted her head. No, Bray would've told her if she knew, and Ellie would've probably told her too. Huh, so what was this girl thinking of then.
"Well, actually it's two secrets. One's about you, and the other about me. Which one do you want to hear first?"

"I am!" Ellie said, feeling her face. It was hot with the blood rushing to her cheeks. Immediately, more blood rushed to her cheeks. "No, I just blush easily, I guess." She said with a smile. She had probably gotten her hopes up. Why did her mind go right to Bradyn? It was an epidemic and she needed medication.
"Two!" Ellie said, getting excited. They had finished going down the stairs and had taken a random corridor somewhere to the left of them. "OK, tell me the one about you first. It is good news I hope!" Ellie said with a big smile, trying to put her anticipation to her her own secret on the back burner for ten minutes.

Felicity looked at Ellie for a moment more, then shrugged. That was also possible, but Fay thought that the blushing was probably for another reason. And when it came to these things, she was almost never wrong. She was a veela afterall.
"Mine? Ug, fine. But your's is so much more exciting." Fay sighed and brushed some hair out of her eyes. She leaned against one of the railings, so her and Ellie could just stand and talk. If they just walked around aimlessly, people might think they were insane or something.
"Well, you knew about me and Scott right?" She slid a glance over in Ellie's direction, the continued. "I haven't seen him lately --lately being about a month-- and I'm thinking of breaking it off." Fay glanced down at the stairs as she leaned over the railing. "I'm just tired of hurting already." She looked back over at Ellie, hoping she would understand.
"Now, do you want to hear your secret? It's much, much happier. I think you'll like it!"

"I think I remember seeing you two." Elie said, smiling, hoping some good news would come after it. Ellie sincerely cared. "Oh, I'm sorry." Ellie said, putting her hand on her friends shoulder. "I guess its better if you just break it off. I mean what kinda of guy just disappears from your life." Ellie smiled. "He obviously wasn't worth it."
For never being in a relationship before in her life , and actually having very bad luck with guys, Ellie thought she had given some very good advice. She was proud of herself, and she hoped she made Fay feel better. "Besides, you still have me." She said with a little nudge and a big smile.
"Ok, ok." Ellie said, not being able to hide the anxious smile on her face. "Since you're basically bursting at the seams to tell me. Go ahead." Ellie said, acting as though she didn't care in the least what Fay had to say. Really, she was dying to know.

Felicity glanced back at Ellie, truly glad that she had decided to tell her. She was thinking about going to Bray, but he would probably just rejoice. Ash wasn't really a relationship expert either, and somehow Fay felt that she wanted to tell Ellie.
A grin flashed across her face as she pulled Ellie into a hug. "Thanks El. You're a great friend you know that?" Of course she was, the girl was so understanding. Felicity was glad that she met her.
"Yay!" She took a deep breath, a large grin still plastered on her face. "Alright, you can't tell anyone I told you this, kay?" Fay waited for a moment, before continuing. "So..perhaps I know a certain person who likes you. And lets say that this certain person happens to be one of my friends and happened to be our Charms partner."

"Oh, well, I try." Ellie said with a big smile on her face. "But seriously, you deserve better." Ellie sighed. "We all deserve better." She didn't know exactly what she meant, but she meant it. Did that make sense? She said with she felt, but how could she deserve better is she didn't have anything. Perhaps she meant that since she didn't have anyone, she ought to have someone, which was better than what she had. Ramble. Ellie's face actually lit up. She opened her mouth, and her cheeks became beet red. "I..really." Ellie said, miking a face of disbelief. "How do you know, I mean, he likes someone else thats not me. I'm positive."
Ellie thought about the day she had ran into Bray in Hogsmeade. He had told her he was shopping for a girl he liked and asked for Ellie's help. Ellie couldn't believe that he would ask her help if he liked her. That would just be cruel. Ellie shook her head. "I think you're wrong Fay."

"Well, I'm pretty sure that Bray already told you that I'm a veela, or you found out some other way. As such, I can feel people's emotions of love, or like or whatever." She waved her hand nonchalantly. "So, that means that I could feel yours and his. And let me tell you it only happens when you two are by each other."
Felicity placed a hand on her hip and turned back to look at El. "Alright, listen up Ellie. You are a very pretty, and funny, and kind, and intelligent girl. Any guy would just be extremely dense not to like you. And if two of my best friends happen to like each other then by golly I'm going to hook them up!"
Fay layed a hand on Ellie's shoulder and grinned again at her. "Don't worry about it. Bray usually sucks at saying that he likes someone. Trust me on that, I've been friends with him since I first came here."

Ellie stood stunned at what Fay was telling her. It really wasn't a big deal, but Ellie had been fooled, or maybe Bray was telling the truth. Maybe he liked two girls, but it didn't seem like something he would do. Perhaps he wasn't the guy Ellie thought he was.
Ellie had known that Fay was a veela, but she hadn't really thought that it gave her an extra sense of feelings of love. She knew that Fay could probably get any guy to swoon at her feet if she turned on the charm. "I didn't know you could sense that." Ellie said, her cheeks getting red. It was awkward having Fay be able to feel something that she hadn't even let herself believe until very recently.
"You didn't have to say those things." Ellie said, smiling gratefully at her friend. "But I don't think you understand. Bray likes someone else." Ellie said, shifting her weight. "He practically told me so. Maybe you confused something." Ellie said, hoping that Fay wasn't and that Ellie was the one confused.

Felicity shrugged lightly. "It's a weird freaky veela thing. I'm assuming it's to see if we really have charmed someone or not. I personally don't use it for that." She wrinkled her nose in slight disgust. "I don't think we should be able to control people's emotions like that."
Fay rolled her eyes and sighed exasperatedly. "I'm not wrong about things like this El. He likes you, I know it." She pouted a bit. How could El not trust her on this eh? Why would Fay lie to her about something as amazing as this!
"Just trust me on this alright El? Bray's not good with his emotions, so he covers it up with sarcasm a lot of the time. Or he uses some crackpot way to hang out with a girl he likes."
