Perhaps a small vacation with her mother was not what she needed. Bray had urged her to get out, saying she was too stressed out and too up tight, which was true. So, she let her mother drag her off to some random place that someone had suggested to her. The first few days were fine, because her and her mother stayed inside most of the time because of the rain. But, then once it cleared, they started to take frequent shopping trips.
Along these said trips, Christi would dress her daughter in numerous outfits because she thought that the boys would 'appreciate' it. Yea, they appreciated it alright. Fay often wished Bray was there to be her pretend boyfriend again so they would leave her alone. But, after about a week, they returned to Hogwarts. Fay was so relieved to walk back into the school, and leave her pouting mother behind.
Felicity was wishing during the whole trip that the rumors of her and Bray being heartless friends would soon pass, but that was not the case. They only started up another round when she returned. And, to top that, she found out that Bray had been punched in the jaw by Ash. She was ready to strangle the over-dramatic boy for all of the trouble he was causing for them.
With a sigh, Fay pushed her way past a group of fellow Claws, who went silent as she crossed their path. She had to keep her eye from twitching in response. What she needed right now was somewhere where the rumors couldn't follow, or the whispers couldn't fall onto her ears. But, where could she find such a place?
Something shifted out of the corner of her eye, and Felicity looked up. She turned toward the source of the disturbance, and found a door, standing right before her. Blinking, she gripped the brass handle and pushed the door open, praying that there would be some type of sanctuary within. Even an empty classroom would suffice.
What she found was much more to her liking though. There was a large window at the end of the room, with a large wooden chest sitting before it. Fay quickly shut the door behind her and raced over to the chest, plopping down onto it. The room faced the lake, and currently the sun was setting over the water. Felicity brought her knees up her to chest and wrapped arms around them. Now this was what she had been looking for.
