Ashton sighed as he stared out at the decptively passive waters of the lake, Maxi had had to leave for a couple of weeks because his sister had been sick, and Ashton understood that Maxi needed to be with his sister; but still, he wished that Maxi would come back already. Looking up at the gray, overcast sky, Ashton sighed. The gloomy weather fit his mood perfectly. The wind, which up until that time had been a light breeze, steadily began to pick up in speed and urgency. Soon, the wind was whistling throught the trees of the Forbidden Forest, creating an eerie moaning sound. Ashton shivered in the chilly wind and pulled his cloak around him tighter, his raven hair was whipped around his face and he reached up to impatiently brush it out of his eyes. A small dejected sigh escaped his lips once more. "I miss you so much Maxi, please come back soon." he whispered, his words carried away by the wind.

The weather was dull and dreary and Ace was loving it. Gloomy weather always made Ace happy for some or other reason, then again what didn't? Ace was skipping along the shore of the lake, enjoying the breeze that was sweeping over her. She was in her exercise kit and had been jogging but without Alexis to keep her company, Ace soon grew bored of it and sort other company. Walking along the shore, Ace spotted a figure not far from where she was and she made her way towards it.
As she got closer, she began to recognise the sullen expression, the far away gaze, the dark form of Ashton. Her smile grew and she broke into skips again. "Ashton," she called when she was closer. She skipped to his side and stopped two feet away from where he was standing. "Hiya," she greeted, her Irish accent thin. "What ya doin' out here in the wind?" It was only when she stopped moving that she realised how strong the wind was and smiled all the more for it.

Ashton looked up at Acelin and managed a weak smile. "Nothing." he whispered shaking his head. Complaining to Acelin, wasn't going to make Maxi come back any quicker, he just had to deal with it. He spoke louder, "What're you doing out here?"

Acelin caught a hind of sorrow in his voice when Ashton so curtly answered her question. Aware that there was some tension surrounding this boy, Ace didn't push the matter any further. She didn't want to hear him complaining in any case. Ace was entirely the wrong person to go to for advise because she just couldn't seem to give much or any that was helpful and she couldn't wrap her mind around most of the situations that people found themselves in. So avoiding any moaning session was a good thing.
Ace swung her arms, clapping them when they were close enough to do so, and smiled over the wind-swept waters of the lake. "Just a light jog, is all," Ace said dreamily. Her mind was already beginning to wonder onto the opposite dark shores. They were hidden by the lack of light and the over hanging trees of the forest. She could see movement there but there was no indication of what it could be. Soon, though, she lost interest and turned back to Ashton. "I've started excercisin'," she informed him with a grin, "jogging mostly, with a third year named Alexis. She's adorable and really knows what she's doin'. It's great fun!"

Ashton grinned. "Cool. Staying in shape is always a good thing." He chuckled bitterly, "I sure got a lot of excersise when I was living with my dad. Not exactly in the way I would've wanted it though." He smiled again, "So, Alexis huh? I think I might've met her somewhere... Alexis Heart? Is that who you're talking about?" he asked looking up at Ace for confirmation.

Again that hint of sadness and bitterness filled Ashton's face but Ace didn't push the issue. It was clear now that it was his dad again and Ace knew how sensitive an issue that was and she didn't want to deal with that just then. Jogging on the spot, Ace grinned at Ashton. She loved exercising and did it as often as she could because it got her blood flowing fast and her heart racing and she loved that feeling. "Yeah, exercising is great," she said, the ‘great’ resonating her accent.
To her surprise, Ash said her exercise buddies name. Visibly taken aback, Ace stopped jogging on the spot and simply stood. She laughed and said, "that's right. Lexi Heart. She great and she knows loads about exercising and that's mighty helpful when you've get too much energy like I do." Ace laughed and began rapidly running on the spot to show just how much energy she had. "How d'you know her?" Ace asked, keeping both feet on the ground now, "or of her should I say?"
