Tori sighed and pushed open the door for her History of Magic class. Why did I even take this class? She thought to herself. Sulking, she stomped into the room, her clear heels clicking as she crossed the flagstone floor to her seat. Plopping down in her chair, Tori took out a note Kasey had wrote to her. She quickly read it, laughed a little at a drawing her friend had made of another student, and responded on the back of the parchment.
Tori tucked the note into the pocket of her robes and waited for the rest of her class to arrive.

Currently, Kasey was balancing her books on her head and she walked to class. Tori had been grumbling all morning about the class, but Kase thought it would be interesting. She had her wand tucked behind her ear as she walked into the classroom. Instantly, she recognized Tori and she walked over.
Kasey plopped her books down on the table and took a seat next to Tori. "Hey TuTu, why the glum face? This is the only class you have today, you shouldn't be that sad." She stuck her tongue out at her friend and chuckled. "Grumpy doesn't go for you dear, sorry."

Tori sighed and turned to her friend. "I received a detention. Some Slytherin girl made fun of my outfit, so I hexed the crap outta her. Unfortunately, a grouchy teacher was walking by at that moment and gave me such a hard time. I never liked him..." She remembered the note and took it out of her pocket and slid it toward Kasey. "But it's a good thing my parents aren't the type who ground you on the spot if you get a bad grade. All they say to me is 'Just try to stay out of trouble, Tori' and I'm so thankful for that. I think I would run away if I had overbearing parents."
Tori twirled a loose curl around her finger and her thoughts wandered off. Who was that hot guy that smiled at her today? He looked her age and he was a Gryffindor. Maybe he was new because Tori had certainly never seen him before.

"Detention? Ooo, that stinks TuTu. I'll go teach that Slytherin a lesson sometime for ya. Did you use the hexes I taught you?" Kasey grinned and twirled her wand. "They work wonders."
Kasey had been reading up on her hexes and charms, making sure she knew every way to defend herself and to get her point across to others. Seems her charms came in handy more often than not. Take for example the fact that Kasey and Tori went out to the forest almost every night. The charms helped them protect themselves. Kase looked down at the note and grinned at her drawing. "Pretty isn't it?"

Antoinette slipped into the classroom, tucking a particularly mischievious (sp?) blonde curl behind her ear. With a quick glance up at the teacher's desk, she established that Professor Potter wasn't there let. Letting out a breath in relief, she slid into an empty desk, plunking her bag down beside her. With a glance towards the two girls in the room, Antoinette turned her attention to the bag now residing in a blobby sort of pile of leather on the floor next to her chair. Reaching a hand inside, Antoinette began rummaging about in the beast for the letter. Although the inside was quite was organized, Antoinette had placed an enlargment charm on it ages ago, in an attempt to fit everything inside it. With a sigh of annoyance, Antoinette tucked the rambuncious (sp?) curl behind her ear again, after it fell into her line of sight. After a few moments, Antoinette decided that this approach was silly. Pointing her holly wand at the bag, Antoinette muttered "Accio letter." The scarlet letter came zinging out, to flutter down on the desk in front of her. With a triumphant smile, Antoine began to peruse the long letter, smiling or frowning as the news reached her. Suddenly, Antoinette threw the letter down, and whipped out her wand. The rebellious lock of hair had fallen once again into her blue eyes, and she was through playing games with it. With a look off utter determination, Antoinette pinned the curl back, and muttered: "Habitum." When she released her hand, it stayed, firmly, where she had placed it. Looking slightly appeased, Antoinette turned back to the letter. it had arrived this morning on her father's regular owl. Her father had all her friends route their news through him, because, obviously, her muggle friends couldn't use owls; at least, not without a whole lot of complicated explaining that would lead to tears, yelling, disbelief, fighting, and the occasiounal shunning. No way was Antoinette dealing with that. This particular note was from Penelope: a dear old friend from primary school. It was mostly fluff, but at the end was an interesting piece of news. Antoinette leaned over the paper, noting vaugely in the back of her mind (with a faint air of exultion) that no curl was obscuring her view.
