Cris thought about the question for a moment. "Hmm, I don't know. Nobody really I suppose, I just get on with the lesson" he said, seeming satisfied with his answer. He slumped back into his chair, and tapped his quill on the table. His cut knee began to hurt again, so he shifted his position by keeping it straight out infront of him. Wincing a little in pain, he finally relaxed once more.

Ash couldn't help but smirk, "Yeah, you're probably just too scared to tell them what you really think." he muttered under his breath, then smiled at Cris as if he hadn't said anything.

Cris gave a quick laugh. "Hardly! Just because I don't hate everyone, unlike you!" He chuckled.

Ash scoffed, "What makes you think I hate everyone? Besides, everyone loves me! What's not to love?" he asked with a smirk folding his arms behind his head and leaning back against the wall.

Post by Girty Hubbles on Mar 21, 2008 19:31:53 GMT
The arrival of Jac did bring a small smile to Girty’s face, after the nudge and the wink Girty leaned over towards the Gryffindor and while another Ravenclaw stumbled in muttering something about falling over to the Professor Girty took the opportunity to give her friend a small bit of stick.
“Finally decided you will join us then did ya? I thought I was going to have to brave this lesson alone.”
At the mention of Professor Fagin Girty gave a small chuckle, Dan and Fagin used to be drinking buddies and Girty had spent the odd evening with the two professors and a bottle of fire whisky and although he did have a pungent smell about him and a slight evil side he could be a very amusing man and some of the stories he came out with where better then Dan’s.
However the Ravenclaw that had just come in had sat down by Ashton seemed to find it fun to have their own interesting conversations in the middle of the class room. Rolling her eyes Girty turned to look at Jac and gave her a cheerful smile before the Hufflepuff thought she would share her opinion yet again, after all that is what they were meant to be doing in this lesson.
“I think all the Professor in the school have their good and bad points. I bet if you sat down in the pub with them you would see a different person to that which stands at the front of the class week in week out…after all students do not want to be in lessons and sometimes neither do the professors.”

Jac laughed and she leaned back in the chair, smiling at Girty. "I thought I wouldn't abandon you to brain melting and sanity deprivation without me." Jac found Astronomy to be frightfully dull most of the time. There were a few cool things about it but they were short lived and far between so Jac grinned and bore it by paying as little attention as possible, lest her brain should dribble out her ears.
As the Claws piped up about Fagin, Jac laughed, noticing Girty's expression as well. Jac knew that Girt had seen another side to Fagin that Jac could only imagine and as the Hufflepuff spoke what Jac had been thinking was confirmed.
Jac laughed. "I bet you get any of our teachers in a room with alcohol consumption and you'll actually have fun," Jac looked at the professor and smiled. She was thinking about the meeting they had had in the Three Broomsticks before Christmas where her brother and fiancé had joined them. What an interesting night that had been.
But it quickly dawned on Jac that that was the fateful night that had changed their delicate Astronomy teacher forever. Sighing, Jac turned back to Girty and smiled. "You should have been there, Girt," Jac said, "Once Fagin suggested that I an that Olivia girl battle out our disagreement in a mud pool. That put a stop to our bickering very quickly. Fagin is hilarious."

Ginny had almost forgotten about class Astronomy was just held too late yes she knew it had to be but that still didn't make up for the fact that after a long hard day of classes having to go to just one more so late was a lot to ask. Dragging herself out of the bed she found comfortable and warm she threw on some tennis shoes, combed her hair and grabbed her books.
Checking her timepiece she realized she had mere minutes to make it there so she had no choice but to take off like a light. Running around the school pushing past students lingering around the hall. So many people were yelling at her but she did not care.
Racing up those stairs was harrowing but she made it. Throwing herself into the room she noticed that there were quite a few people there already including someone she had not seen in a while. Jac she made a beeline for her, she was already there with Girty Hubbles so Ginny smiled "hey there girls how's it going?"

Just then Ginny came in. Jac turned her head towards her friend and smiled broadly. "Hiya Gin," she said happily. "Go on, join us." Jac pushed out the chair on her other side and patted it to indicate to Ginny that she should join them where they were sitting.
"Is going alright," Jac said in response to Ginny's question. "Easy lesson coz there's no lesson. Owen decided we didn't need to have one so we're talking bout teachers we don't like. We we just talking bout Fagin when you came in."
Jac spurted out her words very quickly with a large smile on her face. Tilting her head to the side, her hair falling out of her face, Jac smiled. "You're a bit late, Gin," Jac pointed out the obvious. "Fall asleep by the fire, did you?"

Post by Kendal Montgomery on Apr 3, 2008 0:31:49 GMT
Can't be late, can't be late, can't be late, was the mantra going on in her head. She was always on time and to her tardiness was not a good thing but today was just one of those days. She was running on empty so she decided to go get something to eat. She had been in the Great Hall and things were so quiet that she suddenly felt tired and ended up napping right there at the Hufflepuff table. Had it not been for an owl that was flying above her causing the light to flicker in and out Kendal awoke with a start and several people near by snickered. "Oh man" she whispered as she jumped up grabbing her bag she took off.
She tried to take every short cut she knew but those blasted stairs there was no way to get around those at all so she ascended climbing and climbing until she felt that she couldn't climb anymore, that's when she realized she'd made it. Walking briskly across the room she found an empty spot sitting down and fixing herself. She was sure she looked a mess, rubbing a hand across her face she felt some crumbs no doubt left there from the croutons from her salad. Her hair that had been in a ponytail was hanging to one side, so she pulled it out and quickly fixed it. Wiping the corners of her eyes she thought that perhaps now she looked more presentable though she was hard pressed to care at that moment since she was barely awake.
What would they be doing she wondered, until she thought she heard someone say they wouldn't be having a lesson they'd be chatting. Kendal's face dropped, she was tired as heck and she raced to class just so she could sit there and gab? No that had to be a joke a really funny joke. When would they hit the punchline?

Post by Professor Dia Hubbles on Apr 19, 2008 14:18:07 GMT
The class chatted away, new students arriving as they did. It was lovely to see the turn out to the lesson increasing. Dia could not remember the last time she had had so many students in her class before. Dia sat back in her chair, greeting those who greeted her and smiling happily to herself.
Jac certainly knew how to demand attention and control the group. Many were now turning to her and Girty to join in their conversation. A few quiet students sat by themselves, either staring off into nothingness or silently paying attention to the conversation. It had been a good move, Dia decided, to not teach this night. She could see that none were in the mood for a lesson and few knew that neither was she.
Smiling as the students spoke, Dia checked her watch and nodded. There wasn't much time left of the lesson and perhaps she would let the children get back to their beds earlier then usual. But not just yet. Turning back to the class, Dia thought it would be a good idea to get a little business done before they proceeded any further. "Is there anything you would like me to discuss in next weeks class?" she asked, looking around at everyone.

This class was usually one she didn't mind but she did mind the fact that they really weren't doing anything. She could have gone to sleep. Not that she hadn't been listening to the conversation, most of it was pretty funny some of the teachers at school were a bit of a mess. Times she even laughed at it all. Looking around she saw that a few didn't seem to appreciate the whole non class class. She couldn't blame them but sometimes you just needed a break from learning hard as that was for her of all people to say.
Checking her watch she realized that soon class would be over and then she could finally get some sleep.
Then Professor Owen asked them if they had any ideas on what they should learn next lesson. Alexis raised her hand there was something she had wondered about "I'm curious about the Ant Nebula."

At the suggestion of the Ravenclaw, Dia smiled and nodded her head emphatically. "Very good suggestion, Miss Heart," Dia said, smiling at the usually quiet girl. "I will be certain to have that for your next lesson." Participation from this particular girl was a rare thing, Dia had always found, so to hear her quiet voice was a pleasure. "Three points to Ravenclaw."
Dia could see no further reason to keep all these students from their beds, or to keep her from her own. The professor had been informed by some of her Ravenclaws earlier that day that there was a horrid Potions test the following day and she was certain that they were not the only ones who would be tested. Finding this reason enough to let the students go a little earlier then usual, Dia stood up from the desk she had occupied.
"Well, class," she said, smiling at everyone, "I think that will be all for tonight. You can always socialise in your common rooms if you so wish." She shot a glance at the two Claw boys who had been chatting together since they had arrived. "Next week we will be learning about the Ant Nebula ... and possibly something else as well. Good night all, now go away!" She laughed this last, showing her playfulness. She waved her wand and the trap door in the floor of the room opened, to freedom from the class and the waking hours.

Having drifted in and out of the conversation every so often, Erys was shaken from her thoughts by the sound of footsteps and people moving to leave. Tilting her head to the side briefly, the Slytherin then nodded, standing gracefully--albeit a little drowsily--before leaving with the crowd. What had they learned again? Oh right, how to talk. Well that was always a good thing. Laughing, the animagus stretched, stretching her arms crookedly over her head and purring briefly at the movement. Cramped up in there got you pretty stiff, especially if you were shoved in a room with a bunch of other kids doing exactly the same thing: fidgeting and talking.
Truth be told, Erys hadn't minded the change in the lesson plan. It was refreshing, actually, she hadn't been to a class like that before. Smiling a little at the professor's creativity, Erys headed down to the Slytherin common room, entering it and heading off to bed after chatting up a housemate.[/color]
