As the radiant beams of light emitted from the sun creating a crimson skyline, Ali sat tapping the quill’s pure white feather against the contrast of her black diary. It was the time she inputted in her diary daily but today the words that usually flowed from her quill seemed to be lost on her as the dull day held nothing of interest to release it out onto paper. As she looked out onto the slightly rippling water, the wind blew her curly flavescent hair into her face, causing her to close her eyes to stop it poking her irises. She could of written about her catastrophic display in her potions lesson, but she didn’t want to relive the experience and soon shrugged the idea from her mind. Her hands were still dyed lime green from the manic experiment and for the rest of the lesson the slytherins were calling her snot hands, much to the embarrassment of herself. She knew if she were to tell Bryn and Brooke that they would both hex them into oblivion, but from experience of watching others being bullied, intervening only made it worse for the victim, so she just gave them a rude muggle hand gesture which had them confused for the rest of the day but amused Professor Vaid highly. At least he was a muggle and knew what it meant, and his supporting laughter gave Ali cause to laugh for the first time all lesson.
So here she was, the wind blowing warmly through her curls as she continued to tap the leather bound diary, still stuck on what to write. She had barely seen her siblings all week and had heard rumours of her big sister becoming a little more frivolous than what Bryn and herself liked to endure, and apparently more than a few guys had been chasing after her. Ali had heard of Bryn’s reaction to this news and had attempted to find him to calm him down, but she didn’t find him until a few hours later looking rather red in the face. Ali hated in when Bryn was angry, it didn’t suit him, and all she could do to comfort him was give him a delicate hug in hope he would sedate somewhat.
Opening the pages, she flicked through a few before reaching the place she had last entered a date. Her diary was looking rather empty and this factor made her realise how boring life was. All she wrote about was her day to day things and little snippets of gossip she had heard around the school, most of which were probably true on some level, but nothing worth stealing the diary for. She giggled subtly to herself at the thought of someone stealing her diary in hope of some big juicy pages of gossip only to find out what Ali had for lunch the entire week. Sighing, she closed her eyes as she dropped the book into her lap and lay back into the grass, enjoying the slight warm summer breeze caressing her skin.
