The day after the night before, and the constant clamminess surrounding Brooke from drinking her own weight in Fire whiskey the previous night still followed her around. Her head felt heavy, and although she managed to sneak back into the school in the early hours when the Ravenclaws were up for breakfast, the small amount of sleep she managed to get on a bench in Hogsmeade after the heavy drinking session didn’t make her feel any better. She knew her twin, Bryn would have been worried sick about her, but for all that she could remember, he may have come to see where she was and seen her in a drunken state and left her there in her own stupid, drunken state.
So here she was, after a quick nap on the common room sofa, and various random pokes from younger years to see if she was still alive, she had awoken once again, her high heels still clutched in her hand as if it were a matter of life and death if she lost them. After a rather hard poke from a rather cocky third year, Brooke awoke and threw a shoe at them, narrowly missing them. With her eyes half closed, she sat up.
“That’ll teach you not to disrespect your elders!” she mumbled after them, but it was too late, the kid had run out the door giggling. As the Welsh lass mumbled more about the kid being a moron, it was mono to the others surrounding her, but they began making noises that sounded ten times louder than they actually were.
Sighing, she got up from the sofa and slipped on her shoes once again. Still in her clothes from last night, she knew if professors saw her walking around like a zombie they would surely give her detention until she graduated. Having a quick shower and changing into ¾ black leggings and a crimson tube dress, she placed a gold necklace over her head before heading out the door. Feeling much more refreshed after her shower, she made her way to get a coffee from the great hall before wandering outside to the courtyard to get some fresh air. If the combination of fresh air, coffee and fresh clothes didn’t work for her hangover, then nothing would.
As she stepped out of the open doors onto the large step leading into the courtyard, she breathed in deep the clear Scottish air so much that her shoulders shrugged. Leaning against the wall, she clamped her hands around the mug of coffee, a contradiction of heat compared to the cooling breeze that surrounded her. The sun was peeking out from a cloud and as Brooke looked up to it squinting, the door pushed into her foot the was crossed over the other.

[ -was watching a movie- xD It was Hoot, and too adorable to pass up... ]
Having that new-girl feeling was never pleasant, and it appeared that timing wasn't on Amie's side as of late. As soon as she was starting to get adjusted to Hogwarts, her brother sent his letter inviting her to his house for a couple weeks and it was something she just couldn't pass up. Not with her being able to see him only at Holidays and the rare trips to his house to help him at at work. It didn't help that he had such a fun job, as her brother lived in Alaska helping out magical creatures that had to be moved because of muggle discovery.
But back at school after a two-week break and finding everyone rushing around to study for finals was a bad adjustment. At least she could use the excuse of being lost to ditch classes once more, it saved her from a butt load of detentions earlier in the year. Amie was currently sitting in a recliner in the common room with a group of other girls and pretending to read it as her studying. It was on Ancient Runes, a class she didn't even take so the whole thing was a bunch of gibberish. 'Oh, I need to get the hell out of this dump.' She thought with a sigh of boredom before shutting the book and handing it to another girl. "I'm going to get some fresh air." She said before jogging up the steps to her dorm so she could change of her lazy studying sweats. After all, if she was in the castle there was the possibility of running into Jase and she'd hate to look anything else but lovely.
After fixing her hair so it wasn't a frizzy mess but her usual long curls, she sighed before riffling through the clothes in her trunk since it wasn't mandatory for them to wear their uniform on the weekend. Deciding dressing nicely was too much of a bother, she pulled on a pair of old jeans and her favorite belt with a sterling peace sign belt buckle. For her top she pulled on a simple brown cami with a brown polo over it, and an a heart necklace that went down nearly to her belly button. Lazy for her, but not too bad all the same.
Now for where she would head to, that would probably be more of a challenge. Sure, she knew her way around the school pretty well but the grounds were huge and finding a place where you could talk to someone wasn't always easy. Not with all the little munchkin first years walking around and being dorks. After a few moments of consideration at the entrance to the common room, she decided going towards the courtyard would be a better bet than hitting the lake. More people seemed to gather to places where there were benches than the lake where there were giant squids. What kind of logic was that?
Amie's trip down there was a little turbulent as she had to pause when she saw an older Slytherin picking on a little Gryffindor. Of course, she just had to make them aware of how weak they were being, picking on someone who wasn't even half their size and left after the snake started to scratch their head in thought. The smell of flowers starting to bloom was her first warning before she hit the large doors the lead into the courtyard. With a rough shove, the old doors squeaked open with more momentum after clearing the frame than she was expecting. "Oh my." She said, grabbing it by the edge quickly so it wouldn't slam back against the wall and soon noticed a lady behind it. 'Damn, that was lucky..' Amie thought with a little awkward laugh as she pushed the door back into it's place.
"Um, sorry about that... lass?" She said as her greatly lame greeting featuring an attempt at coming off as an English girl. But it only took a moment more before she recognized the girl. A sixth year like herself and in many of her classes if she remembered right. 'The one that's always with that boy. Hm, what's her name.. something with a B... Bellatrix? No, that's history. Uh, Brynne? Yeah, that sounds right.'
But the risk off offending her was a little too high so she just went with the classic. "Hey, you're in some of my classes, right?" With a pause, she decided to add in an introduction as well. "I'm Amie, sixth year Hufflepuff.." Because, oddly enough, all of these English kids couldn't introduce themselves without an age and a house.

[Hope you guys don't mind that I post in here if it's a problem just pm me and I'll delete the post.] Loud and annoying all of them. The room was in a complete shambles and the owl across from her just wouldn't stop hooting no matter how nicely you asked it to. Her roommate simply kept looking at her as if she was the problem. Kendal tried not to be a nag or complainer so she put up with it. All this did was make her mad so that she walked out of the room books in hand figuring the sitting room had to be a little quieter. No such luck none at all. Growing tired, those words never used to mean much to her until now because that was simply how she felt. The mundane everyday was just too much for her. A first year ran past her catching her off guard so that she tripped over her own feet and ended up on the floor. The entire room simply laughed, not one of her fellow puffs even offered to help her up. She did it herself making sure to give each and every one of them a dirty look before groaning and walking out of the room. Her books were still on the floor inside but she didn't even care she just had to get out of there, get away from all that raucous. Perhaps she should go in get her things and go to the library. She began to do that but then realized the library would be packed, students studying for finals all that whispering simply sounded like buzzing to her that would simply piss her off some more. So she wandered the halls for a while until one of the ghosts caught up to her. Man were they annoying sometimes, this one seemed hell bent on trying to make her angry he called her names, flew close to her knowing what the effect was like, blew in her ear, buzzed loudly above her, then threatened to inhabit her body just for kicks. Kendal the pacifist simply said nothing and kept walking. That reaction bothered her tremendously but the ghost seemed to get bored with her because of it. Maybe she was better off going outside, inside seemed to be too much trouble for her. Climbing down some stairs she managed to avoid yet another ghost who seemed to have its sights set on her and get to the front doors. Pushing them open she looked around before actually exiting and saw that some others had the same idea. One of them she recognized as a Hufflepuff though she didn't know her well the other girl she didn't really know at all. Figuring they couldn't be as bad as those dwelling inside she made her way over trading in her anger for perky upbeatness. "Hey there Amie right? I'm Kendal hope you don't mind I just had to get out of there." Then to the other girl she said "Hey how are you?"

((Sorry this sucks, but I just woke up haha))
As she watched the few students who were up early enough and out on the courtyard, her eyes flickered in between the different groups attempting to separate their speech into something more audible. After a moment of trying to decipher all the words, she gave up, and her hearing wandered off and concentrated on the slight wind instead. As she sipped her coffee, she jumped slightly as the door knocked into her foot. Looking round the door at the culprit, she was face to face with what she thought was a Hufflepuff in the same year, and soon enough, she found that she was right. Smiling slightly, Brooke stood up properly instead of leaning next to the wall and faced Amie. “No worries, I am standing in a pretty stupid spot after all, so It’s me who should apologize” she answered. The girl in fact was in many of her classes, but the only one that Brooke could remember Amie being in right at this hangover drunken moment was Potions.
As silence past for a moment again, Brooke realised she hadn’t introduced herself. “Oh sorry, I’m Brooke, Gryffindor” she replied. As soon as she spoke another girl turned up and spoke to Amie introducing herself as Kendal. The girl then asked how she was, and Brooke gave a small smile. “Hey Kendal, I’m fine thanks, well except the whole getting drunk last night and sleeping on a park bench in Hogsmeade and feeling the effects the morning after.” She said before giving a small laugh. “I’m Brooke by the way” she continued, with slight emphasise on her name.
Turning back to Amie slightly, but directed the question to both Hufflepuffs. “So I have my reasons for morning madness, but why are you two down here so early?”
