The light breeze floated across the lake and Harrison’s hair danced around in the wind and for once it did not bother him, he let is fall out of place and unorganised. His cool grey eyes were actually visible to the world, the sunglasses which normally shielded them were in his hands protecting them from the light drops of rain that were starting to fall from the grey clouds above him. Still Harrison Greg did not move, he reminded sitting cross legged, not moving except from the odd blink as he got rid of the rain drops that fell into his eyes. Soon the ripples on the water grew larger as the droplets of rain fell faster, harder and colder but yet still Harrison did not move he just watched a small pendulum clock that was placed in front of him.
The second hand slowly made its way around the clock face and Harrison waited patiently with baited breath. He was not blinking now; he was not breathing just waiting, waiting for that hand to reach the 12 and for it all to be over. It past the 11 and he knew his time would be soon, he could almost taste victory, the sound of the cheering greeting him as he entered the Common Room and the satisfying feeling when Blake and Toby have to hand over the money.
Tick, Tick, Tick
It was the longest five seconds in the Gryffindors life but as the thin silver hand landed on the 12 the statue like figure of Harrison suddenly became alive. He leapt to his feet, is arms were thrown high into the air in victory and he erupted in a cheer until he was blue in the face. In the distance he could hear shouts coming from an open window and threw the sheets of rain Harrison could see the silhouettes of Toby and Blake leaning out of the Common Room window, it was luckily however he could not make out what profanities his friends were shouting at him.
“LOSERS!!!” Harrison continued to shout and he bent down picking up the small pendulum clock pointing madly at it thinking that the others could see it from up in the Common Room. “I AM THE GREATEST!!!”
However Harrison’s victory celebrations were soon cut short when he suddenly became aware that someone was standing behind him and very slowly the Gryffindor turned around putting on his best smile.
