Sarie sat by the lake. She loved the lake. It had nothing but good memories for her. She felt sad. Her sliver arrow in her lap. She had been given the broom by a friend. Little did he know she held it closer then he would think she would. To it was more then just a broom it had been his broom. She said good bye not knowing how to say it.
She came to the lake to think about him. His smile and his voice. Most people would say she had it bad. She didn't think he felt that away about her. She hadn't told him. She would never know. She was just a love sick 2nd year. She needed advice but who could she ask? She looked over her should to hope to see a sign that said love this way, but there wasn't.
She looked over the lake. There weren't any people down by her. She was the only one siting in the cold snow. Thinking about some thing that would never happened. She only muttered one word that was lost to the wind. "Ian."

The pitch was cold and the wind had her hair all over the place it was so knotted up since she managed not to tie it in a ponytail as she normally did. She looked an absolute mess but she didn't really seem to care because she had been doing what she always did playing a game that she loved so much. Of course she had been doing it all the time these days finding flying her broom a lot calmer than sitting in the common room. Plus she wanted to be more than ready for their first match of the season. As she landed her feet made a squelching sound in the wet grass from the previous days rain, a bit of mud splashed onto her robes but this never fazed Alexis it was a hazard of the game.
Placing her room back in the shed and making sure it was locked she thought about going back into the castle but decided against it. For what reason she wasn't sure, but she gravitated toward the lake for some reason. Walking slowly just allowing herself to enjoy a few minutes more of peace and then she saw a figure sitting there.
She stared awhile, her vision usually pretty good but after being on the her broom for so long it was a bit blurry she had to squint. Her eyes narrowed as she struggled to see, but the shape soon came into focus and it was apparently Sarie Thimble who was a second year Gryffindor. Alexis had a few classes with her and genuinely liked her.
As she managed to move closer she said in a soft voice, "Hi there Sarie, you all right there?" she asked with a bit of concern in her voice. Sometimes Alexis could be a bit too perceptive when it came to people and how they were feeling, her mother always thought it uncanny sometimes a bit unnerving but Alexis enjoyed it thinking it made her different. Sitting down next to her she kept her eyes focused making sure to dedicate her full attention to Sarie.

Sarie jumped in surprise. "Oh, hey Alex. Yeah I'm fine. Just thinking." She blushed. Sarie was friends with Alex but they didn't hang out much. "How are you?" She took the broom out of her lap. "We haven't talked in a while. Do you love the view." She waved her hand over the lake. Then sighed knowing she would always be happy but sad when she was here.

Polaris shifted forms once she reached the outer walls of Hogwarts after a long day of exploring the inside of the huge building. She had a feeling that she never would find all that lay hidden in Hogwarts no matter how long she stayed there. Padding her way down to her new favourite spot, Polaris caught sight of Sarie and another girl. Giving her generally warm presence, she sat down next to Sarie before giving her a quick nuzzle with her cold, moist nose in greeting. She loved being in her Animagus form, never did she feel so free in her life. Leaning forward a bit, her golden orbs gazed over to a fellow Ravenclaw, resulting in Polaris giving her a polite nod of acknowledgment. She didn't want to interrupt their conversation and opted just to lay down in the damp grass and listen, offering what ever comfort she could if needed.

Antje was out by the lake after finishing a quick jog and thinking about maybe trying to transfer into the Animagus Tutoring class. "Sarie, hey," she called. Antje turned to the other girl, "Hi Im Antje." She then noticed the wolf on the ground, gingerly stepping around it she sat down on the grassy earth.

Sarie sighed wondering if maybe any one who was sitting with her could help with her problem. She knew staring at the lake wasn't doing any good. "Have any of you had a really bad crush on someone and didn't know how to tell him?" There she had said it. It was out there.

Polaris tilted her head as she lifted it up and looked to Sarie, twitching her ears. Shaking her head and letting out a whimper, Polaris turned her golden eyes to Antje and smiled a wolfy-sort of smile before resting her head on her lap in a lazy greeting.

Soon it wasn't just Sarie and her. The lake soon became a meeting ground for some others. A furry cutie that she assumed was someone in animagus form and another girl she hadn't seen before or at least she didn't recall seeing her before. Smiling enjoying being surrounded by others she was there to talk about whatever. Apparently, it seemed Sarie's problem had to do eith a crush. Alexis knew all about that seeing as she had one on someone from her own house even though he was a bit older than her and probably looked upon her more like a little sister than anything else.
'Yes I have actually I still do as a matter of fact. Things like that are not easy. But I think it all depends on your circumstances. Is he the same age as you? Do you two talk a lot? Anything at all that might make telling him a bit easier.'
She knew none of those things ran true for her which is why her crush would stay hidden at least from the guy anyway.

"He's a few years older. We used to talk alot but he left last year. I knew it was hopeless because I was a first year having a crush on a 7th year. It not one of those crushes that go away after a year. I still like him alot and we had a lot in common. I dont know how to tell him. I really don't know how to say it." She sighed and looked over the lake and put her hand on the broom then padded Polaris's head. "Should i write him a letter?" SHe loved the lake but it made her think of him.
