Tyler gently ran his finger through the dark water of the black lake. He had a lot on his mind lately. School, family, Vanessa, and of course that awful prearranged marriage. This week was turning out to be pretty cruddy. Professor Vance assigned a huge essay due by class tomorrow, things were kind of starting to unfold with Vanessa, and of course tomorrow he’d have to meet his future wife. This was all just so stupid, if only his parents trusted his judgment. An arranged marriage obviously didn’t work out for them. Tyler debated the idea of not showing up, but that was no good. Not showing up would deface the family name and Tyler wasn’t in any position to do that. If only things weren’t so complicated. ‘Engaged at 17? Ugh!’
Tyler continued to run his hand through the water. The water began to ripple slightly from the motion, back and forth back and forth. He began thinking of life after Hogwarts, life with his new fiancée. There he was, Tyler Rockwood standing at the alter of a huge cathedral. He was wearing an all black dress robe with a matching top hat. The music began to play and out from the large doors came a small little girl tossing flowers around the red carpet. Next came the made of honor and the best man followed by the others. Everyone looked so happy, dressed up in their dress robes and dresses. Surprisingly even Tyler had a slight smile on his face, most likely a fake one though, this after all was the day Tyler dreaded most. Finally a woman in a large white dress slowly began walking down the aisle; her face was covered by a long white veil so you couldn’t see who it was. The mystery woman slowly continued down the red carpet and up the stairs and finally the ceremony began. The two exchanged their vows and their I do’s. It was finally time for the reveling.
“You may now kiss the bride,” said the pastor standing between the two newlyweds.
