[Forest] And so we continue

It had been another sleepless night since Jason had arrived here at Hogwarts. The third, he believed. No matter, ever since Angelina had mentioned the forest, Jason had been hooked and curious as ever. So, tonight was the night.

A perfect February night. Clear, crisp and brisk, the twilight sheet of clouds hung low in the sky and was mottled with shimmering stars. Jason silently stepped out from the castle and beyond the boundries of the lawns with a self-satisfying smirk playing on his lips. While ruffling his chesnut hair, the Slytherin yawned as he walked the dividing line of trees and the lawns. With a flick of the wrist, Jason threw back his ebony-knit scarf and slipped between two large trees.

The bitter air nipped at the young boy's cheeks and exposed skin, but that wouldn't stop him from roaming further and further within the forest. Rows and rows of trees seemed to pass Jason's hazel eyes until he came to a sudden stop.

Damnit. That better be Angelina.. She said she would meet me here tonight. But not where.. smart.

Jason hugged his back to a tree, as soon as he heard footsteps around him. Being sure that what ever it was that was following him was walking on two legs, the Slytherin peered out from behind the tree to spot a figure illuminated by the moonlight. But who?

Soon came his voice through the dark, inquizitive yet powerful as the words left his lips, "Angelina?" [/color]

Angelina stepped forward, arms crossed over her chest, the young Slytherin stood tall and proud, while also managing to look relaxed and casual. The wind caused her chestnut curls to flutter gently around her face. “That would be correct.” She replied softly, eyes glinting with mischief. She stepped closer, shivering in the wind; her cloak had been torn, so she had left it in the dorm, not wanting to walk around in a garment that was less than perfect. However, as the biting wind sent another shiver through her, she was beginning to wish she’d just swallowed her pride and worn the thing! At least it would’ve kept her warm! Her miniskirt was doing nothing to help either, despite the fact that she was wearing dark, emerald green, thigh-high suede boots, the exact same shade as her skirt. She was also wearing a black cashmere sweater. Angelina somehow managed a small smile, “Took you long enough!” she teased.

Jason let out a small sigh of relief as he saw Angelina. Took him long enough, damn! He had been out here for maybe about.. okay, only 10 minutes, but still.

Stepping forward towards her, a smirk played upon his lips. "So. Do you always go hiking in the forest dressed as if you're in a fashion show?" Giving a soft chuckle at his own joke, Jason was in a good mood. The night was his time to shine. Looking Angelina over once more, he noticed her shivering and raised an eyebrow in question. "Need my jacket?"

Offering his jacket wasn't too bad, it was only leather, but would keep her warm. Besides, he had a turtleneck underneath it.

"Well. What next? I'm afraid I don't know this place too well."[/color]

Angelina laughed, "No, I just threw on the first things I found!" She shrugged when he offered his jacket, "Well, I don't want you getting cold, but if you're sure..." she trailed off, choosing to let him decide. She smiled, "Don't worry, I won't let you get lost!" she teased.

Jason smiled faintly, taking his jacket off and handing it to her. Indecisive, bah. "Get us lost? I'm sure if we did, we could find our way out. Better lead on, Angelina!"

Looking around the forest, his hazel eyes probed every direction waiting for her to chose. [/color]

Angelina smiled as she slipped on the leather jacket, it was a bit big, and the arms were a bit long, but that was alright, it would keep her hands warm. "Better have your wand at the ready." she warned, pulling her own out. She started forward, leading Jason into the darkness.

Jason didn't expect his jacket to be small on her frame, but he still smiled faintly when Angelina turned her back to enter the darkness. As he followed her further and further into the forest, he had his wand at his side the whole time. He wasn't too worried about what ever came their way, he could handle it. And he was sure that Angelina could handle it as well.

All around the two leaves were crunching under unknown feet and twigs were snapping under pressure of some sort of creature. Jason guessed this was just natural for forests, but he wasn't aware that this forest.. was filled with magic and dangers.[/color]

Leaves and twigs crackled and crunched underfoot as the Spanish beauty led the way deeper into the forest. "So, what did you do for fun at Durmstang?" she asked, desperate for something to talk about. Anything to keep her mind off the creepy forest. Not that she was scared of course, just healthily nervous...okay, she was terrified! Not that she'd ever tell anyone of course. She was Angelina Gomez for Christ's sake, she wasn't supposed to be afraid of anything! Well, at least I have someone with me she thought to herself, Yeah, unless he turns out to be a wimp replied the annoying voice in her head, Oh, shut up! she hissed silently. She sighed and looked up at the sky towards the stars. A rare genuine smile flitted across her face, Angelina loved the stars, they were so...mysterious and beautiful. "I wish I could see them better." she whispered softly.

"So, what did you do for fun at Durmstang?" she asked, desperate for something to talk about.

"What did I do for fun? Well, boxing was what I was best at, but the fights would always end up being broken up, or the rival on the floor in one hit. I also enjoyed aviation. When ever we had holiday leave, I would go home and fly the family jet." Jason stopped for a moment to think about what he just said. Great way to brag, Jay. She'll probably think you're a snob now. He shook his head and sighed before continuing to talk. "There was also archery and football that I found fun as well. But, reading was always my favourite."

Nodding with a faint smile, Jason walked parallel to Angelina, remaining quiet to listen to the miscellanious noises of the night and forest.

"I wish I could see them better." She whispered softly.

The Slytherin cocked his head to the side, hearing her words faintly. "Why don't we find somewhere were we can see them, then?" He proposed curiously.[/color]

Angelina nodded politely as Jason listed off the things he did in his spare time. Her eyebrows raised slightly at the mention of Archery. "Archery? How interesting, I just so happen to be an Archer myself. In fact, I have my bow and arrows with me, I never go anyehere without them. I usually shrink them and put them into my pocket."

And indeed, she reached in her pocket and pulled out a miniature bow, black with silver engravings, and black quiver filled with black arrows, with emerald green feathers. "My family has a long history of Archery and every year on their 3rd birthday, each child starts Archery lessons. My father says I'm the best Archer the family has seen in over a hundred years." Then she remembered, her father was dead. She sighed sadly and looked away, "Or at least that's what he used to say." she whispered, arms folded across her chest and biting her lip, blinking back unwanted tears. Angelina, unlike most Slytherin's was not afraid to show her emotions, she just didn't want to show them at this particular moment. Especially when her current emotions had her feeling like crying.

She also smiled at the reading, "Bookworm huh? Same here! I also like to work out, I have a pull up bar in my room, and I also have two and five pound weights."

She looked up at the stars, then back at Jason, "Yeah, I wish we could find a place to see them better." she said softly. She gave Jason a rare genuine smile. Not the one she usually reserved for public, but a real one. One that made her chocolate brown eyes sparke, and softened her features. He really is something else she thought to herself. Slow down girl, don't let your hormones run away with you know. You know very well that there is a good possibility that he has a girlfriend already, is betrothed, or is just a player. Be careful answered the voice in her head, I know. I can still have fun though, can't I? she answered silently.

Angelina realised she was staring and quickly blinked to clear her jumbled thoughts. "Sorry." she said, a rare blush coloring her cheeks. Why did he make her feel this way? She hardly knew him! Yet, she felt like she had known him her whole life...

Jason listened silently as Angelina talked about her family and their shared interests. Once hearing about her father, the slytherin offered a small smile and a gentle pat on her back. It was the best he could do for now.

A laugh emitted from his throat once she mentioned the two and five pound weights. Not a sarcastic or mean laugh, a playful one. "Two and five pounds? My lady, you are quite the beast!" Lifting his hand and lightly squeezing her upper arm where her 'muscle' was, Jason was clearly playing and joking around. He always tried to make light of the situation, how ever rare it might be.

She was staring, but that just happened a lot around him. He guessed it was just a 'girl-thing'. Scanning the surroundings, Jason saw a large tree that seemed to clearly rise above every other that was quite thick and old.

"Here we go, now if you don't mind climbing in that skirt and those boots. Unless, you wish to get a piggy-back up while I climb?" His right eyebrow was raised as he proposed the daring question of climbing the giant, old tree that looked to be covered in mold among other things. [/color]

Angelina laughed as well, "Oh shut up." she said, giving him a light punch on the arm, "It just so happens that I also have a black belt in Aikido, so you better watch it pretty boy!" she said, not entirely teasing, eyes glinting with mischief. She looked up at the tree, "Hmm...climb a tree and possibly ruin a skirt and rather expensive pair of shoes, or get a piggy-back ride? Hmm....I'll go with ....the piggy-back ride. If you think you can climb while carrying me that is."

"Of course I can climb carrying a twig like yourself." He replied, kneeling down infront of her. This would certainly be interesting.

"And if you knew we were coming to the forest, why dress in such expensive clothing?" That was the thing that confused him most about women: why they dressed up at the most inappropriate times. He was simply wearing a pair of grody old jeans and a leather jacket that was a bit worn out. Women, so confusing.

Jason waited for Angelina to make her move so that they might be off to climbing the tree. [/color]

((haha, I deleted her by accident! I was doing a mass deleteion, not really paying attention, but then I figured out that I deleted Angelina, without meaning too! Oops!))

Angelina smiled, "Call me a twig one more time, and I'll rip your testicles out through your mouth!" she said, in an overly cheerful voice. This girl was not one to be messed with...


She rolled her eyes, "I wear them, because they are the only kinds I have." She sighed slightly, "I'm not allowed to wear jeans or sneakers. And I have to wear Slytherin colors at all times, luckily the colors go well with my skin tone."

Angelina smirked, as she climbed on Jason's back, wrapping her arms lightly around his shoulders, "Let's see what ya got, big boy!" she teased, laughter in her voice.

"And I'm sure you'd just love to try that, wouldn't you?" Getting in his pants wasn't something Jason had on his mind, considering where they were and who he was with. But, things do happen.

"Who cares if you aren't allowed. No one can dictate who you are and what you do, you have a free will of your own, you know. Just do it and if any problem arises, I know you can handle it, or ask for help." He said while nodding in reassurance.

"I'd say I have a lot, considering you just called me 'Big Boy'." Jason chuckled as he started up the large tree. Hands clutched onto thick branches and feet scraped at the trunk of the tree as the two made their way to he top with ease. His muscles seemed to flex with every movement due to the applied weight, but it was no hinder to the snake.
