Justyn stood by himself, just a few feet from the shore of the lake. In his hand he held several rocks, and every few seconds he would hurl one as close to the center as the lake as he could, then pausing afterwards to see if anything rose to the surface. Justyn had been doing this every day for the past four days, and so far nothing had risen to the surface at all. Today was no different.

Alexis was growing bored of the constant confines of the castle, not to mention her brothers stupid ramblings about his and Maxi's arguments. Like it bothered her if the two of them stopped talking it wasnt like it was any of her business. She decided to go for a walk and leave everyone else doing whatever it was they did inside the castle.
She began to walk down to the lake, her boots crunching on the grass beneath her feet, it was a warm day so at least she wasnt cold. It would only result in her being in a bad mood if she was. When she got there she saw something that amused her somewhat. A boy was stood there, looking out over the lake as though expecting something. Smiling as she walked over to him, she said from a little ways behind him, "You know, i think the squid stood you up"

Slightly startled at the sound of a new voice, Justyn jumped a little bit. He took a quick look back at her, and was pleasantly suprised when he saw what she looked like. He quickly turned back, and continued throwing rocks into the water, trying to look nonchalant. "Been out here for most of the week," Justyn said, still staring at the center of the lake. "Damn thing won't show up." After a small pause, he asked "what makes you think I'm trying to bring out the squid?"

Bradyn walked across the grounds with his hands casually in his pockets. Today he felt lonely for no reason, and he couldn't shake the feeling so in the end he headed for the lake. As usual he spotted a couple people hanging by the edge. Today was warm enough that if it was safe, Bray would've dived right into the lake for a chilly, and somewhat crazy, swim. But of course, he'd rather not be squid food so he just stopped at the edge with the other couple of Slytherins. "I don't think that's how you skip rocks.." He said before he got close enough to hear them talking about said giant squid. Who in their right mind would try to awaken it on purpose?

Alexis smirked a bit when she saw him jump, he clearly wasnt expecting any company today. "Because you just told me" Alexis smiled as she walked closer and stood next to him. "Damn thing wont show up" She looked over across at the lake, the surface sparkling in the light of the sun. "Am i wrong?"
Alexis turned at the sound of another voice. She vaguley remembered his face from somewhere but couldnt place it. "If your an expert, why dont you show us then?" she quipped as she looked at him. She didnt know why the other boy wanted to wake up the squid but she must admit, it would be interesting if he managed it.
