The day was long and eventful for someone such as herself; Amelia Grace already had a stock-pile of papers on her desk. Ones requesting a permit for becoming an animagus, others complaining about the rising number of them at a particular school. Hogwarts. Prodding a piece of parchment with her wand, the woman scoured her eyes over the beautiful script, not at all surprised to see her daughter's signature. Skimming over the article briefly, she nodded her head once or twice, aware and in agreement with Erys' argument. There were too many of animagi at her school, there was no doubt about that. In fact Amelia herself had conducted a list, with all the students who had the talent on there, and those whom had signed up for the class. They all expected to figure out the secret just like that. Didn't the professor explain to them that if not carried out properly, one can lose their minds over to the animal side and never change back again? Not to mention they'd have to be killed, running around like a rabid dog biting everything in sight. Losing one's mind was a terrible business, really.
Folding up the letter and placing it in her pocket, Amelia summoned the list to her, drumming her fingernails against her desk while looking over it yet again. She knew everyone who was registered, because she was the one who gave the permits out herself.
These were the names that stuck out the most, there were many more on the list besides them. Somehow Amelia doubted the parents would be gung-ho for their children's imprisonment. They should be ashamed of themselves, letting their children become animagi while knowing full-well a registry was required. Not to mention no one under the age of seventeen should be able to master the extremely difficult talent. Something must be done about this, though she wasn't sure exactly what to do. There were so many options.. She'd lose her position with many of them, so those ones were out. Hopefully someone would show up and help her out. Or rather, give her some helpful suggestions.
As stated in the rules, the penalties for being an animagus and failing to register with the ministry were quite severe.[/color]
