It was stormy. Sharp winds whipped at Erys' clothes, tugging at various plants and grating against the stone in the courtyard. Whistling through the grass, it weeded its fingernails into her lucious brown hair, as she ran her hand through her wind-blown locks. With her heightened senses, the Slytherin could hear it all while sitting on the lawn, as the wind died down for a few moments only to pick up again shortly after. This really wasn't a day to be outside, but the threatening dark clouds outside drew her here. Sunlight was over-rated, Erys was all for the dark. It was beautiful weather.
Finding herself alone on the lawns, the Slytherin found herself a little calmer by the weather she alone considered wonderful. The day's events contained nothing for her enjoyment; she had to deal with a snooty wannabe-ravenclaw who didn't deserve to be in Slytherin. Not to mention she and Ricky hadn't dealt with Sarie or the mutt Polaris yet. Still, leftover fury and adrenaline pumped through her veins, and Erys saw everything with icy clarity.
Everything was soon calm. The wind no longer tore, the thick, dark clouds hung in the air. Silence soon overcame it all, choking the weather and swirling in the sky. The calm before the storm. Erys thought to herself, unaware that this was only one of nature's angers to come ripping her way.

The moment Laney had heard about the oncoming storm, she ran outside. No sane person would be out in this weather and Laney wasn't exactly sane at the moment, quite the opposite really. She forced her way across the lawns, her body in a constant struggle with the wind.
She was in the mood to fight, to scream at everyone til she had no voice left. Even then, she wouldn't quit. Laney had lost her bubbly personality and adapted to a more serious, stronger personality. She was tired of being the annoying McLane, she was ready to grow up.
As the wind calmed down, she glared at the person standing in front of her. Why people show up in just the right moments was beyond her. There in front of her stood the one and only, "Erys." She knew the slytherin was a fighter and wouldn't take anything, especially from a book loving Claw.

Sensing oncoming footsteps, Erys turned at the mention of her name. The voice that spoke it held a barely-contained anger, and she was surprised to find it belonged to Laney. That 'Claw girl whom the rumors flung around school spotlighted. Wasn't she Little Miss Pissed Off tonight? Bookworm looked like she was about to explode; hell, the animagus could practically taste the anger dripping off of her in a great, thick cloud of emotion. She was rearing for a fight, the Slytherin could tell.
"Come to enjoy the sunshine?" Erys nearly sneered, an eyebrow practically shooting off the top of her forehead. One might be able to tell her mild surprise at why the 'Claw was out here. Trembling cowards, the lot of them. They should be hiding out inside, safe and sound in their ickle common rooms while huddling 'round their fireplaces. By the crazed look in the younger girl's eyes, she got the feeling this wouldn't be happening any time soon. No, this girl was going to pop, and not in the good way, if there ever was a good way to burst. She was going to start something right here, right now. "Oh, do we have to?" Erys added, exhasperation clear in her voice, "I haven't had the best of days, and I dont need little prisses like you screwing it up even more." Actually, a fight was just what she needed to blow some steam, but she wasn't about to say that. To get what you wanted, one had to lie every once in a while. Erys was no exception.
"So was it good for him, too?" The Slytherin asked, a smirk evident on her face and in her voice. Did he like kissing you, knowing it was breaking his ex's heart? Did you take pleasure in the fact that this was the number one no-no, fooling around with someone other than your boyfriend? The 'Claw should re-check the spelling of her name. 'Cause now, it looked more like tramp.

(( Hey guys, mind if I join? It's no problem if ya do, I'll simply delete this post after. :3))
This had to be the most boring day Polaris ever experienced. Save for the occasional light flickering in the castle, due to the high winds of the storm. Though, she did find that watching all the first years huddle up together, scared from the storm a wee bit humerous. Pulling on a light jacket, Polaris walked out of the castle and into the oncoming storm, taking a deep breath in. This was her weather.
Hearing some words being tossed around in a 'not-so-friendly' manner, Polaris gravitated toward the noise. Recognizing one voice and not the other drove her to walk closer, but not too close. She kept her distance, simply to give the two girls room to fight. If anything included Polaris, which she doubted, she would be there and rearin' for a fight even if the storm calmed her. But no.
She could tell this was strictly between Erys and a fellow Ravenclaw, of whom she heard some nasty rumours about. Looks like a McLane though, so go figure... A few thoughts were tossed throughout her head, leaving as quickly as they came. Shrugging it off, Polaris sat down on the plush lawn with her legs folded under her in an 'indian-style- fashion, simply watching the events unfold before her.

"Come to enjoy the sunshine?"
What this girl effing serious? Laney had only meant for Erys to move out of her way, instead, she was egging her on. "Yes, yes I have," she said rather sarcastically, "Seems you've sucked it all away, though," again, her words dripping in sarcasm. It always seemed like Erys did that. You could be cheerful one minute then the moment she walks into the room, you're miserable.
"Do we have to what exactly? Fight? I'd rather not to be honest," she said shaking her head. "Aww what happened? Boyfriend dump you're crabby ass?" she asked with a smirk, "I wouldn't blame him you know." Carolanne didn't actually know if she had a boyfriend she was just pissed and needed to blow off steam and since Erys was the closest thing, her mind figured why not.
"So was it good for him, too?"
Carolanne glared, "Don't even bring him into this." How dare she even thing about mentioning Maxi around her. It was a touchy subject. She hadn't seen Maxi in over a week and it was starting to get to her. Laney even grew ignorant that another person had found their way to Erys' and Carolanne's meeting.

((Couldnt resist))
Ricky had been in the common room most of the morning. The gossip floating around the school about Little-Miss-Perfect and Gay-Boy-Max were starting to wind him up. Usually Ricky would have laughed and taunted but in all honesty, he couldnt be bothered. The whole scandal didnt interest him unless he could make something of it. Which he couldnt.
As he got to the lawns, he saw Erys there with the talk of the school and some other wise ass Claw. Not that Erys needed backup, Ricky went over just in case and heard the last snippet of what had been said. With a laugh, the Slytherin put his arms around his head, the way they were stood was like a square, which pretty much said what was going on between the three Claw's and the Gryffindork.
"Havnt seen him for a while have you?" He laughed, "Maybe he found someone better, or maybe he came to his senses and realised Claw's are discusting."

{ Ricky! <3 }
"Thank goodness for that, huh? I hate the sun." Erys retorted back, stretching out freckle-free, porcelain-skinned arm. The kind of beautiful pale that Disney princesses pulled their hair out for, wishing they possessed it. Laughing a little at this, she wrinkled her nose slightly, instantly catching the scent of that mangy Ravenclaw mutt. Come to watch the show, had she? Whatever floated her boat, mang. Just dont get in Erys' way.
"The last boyfriend I had was more than five months ago. If you think you're going to use him to get on my nerves think again." The Slytherin grinned, waving it away as if it were nothing. Which is was. Now if she had taunted her with that particular insult a month or two ago, it might have stung, but she was well over it by now. "You're going to have to do better than that, sweat pea." Her voice contained a sickly sweet note, which was totally and utterly fake.
"Did you two like betraying your friends trust? Did he beg you for more?" Erys continued, knowing she had found a tender spot. Weeding her way inside, she would keep on ripping her apart, hollowing her from the inside out. All the while keeping her senses alert, in case the foolish 'Claw wanted to throw a quick jinx at her. She didn't even need her wand for this, she had already mastered the art of performing magic without a wand. The younger girl, however, hadn't. This put her at a disadvantage, not to mention Erys' magical expertise far outnumbered Laney's. She knew much more than she did, yet the brat still persisted in bothering her. A little short on brains, wasn't she?
"Ricky." Erys greeted without looking at him, a smile on her lips. He would enjoy watching his friend tear the 'Claw apart.

Polaris simply watched a second slytherin enter the scene while leaning back and resting on her arms that were out stretched behind her in a comfortable fashion. She wasn't going to sling around any words due to the fact that she had no need to get involved nor did she hear the rumors about McLane; though she got the gist of it from the words that were spat out. Must run in the family..
A clap of thunder accompanied a sharp bolt of lighting that streamed down from the sky, tearing through the clouds violently. Turning her face upwards to the darkened clouds, Polaris felt a single drop of rain, followed by another drop a few seconds after, and then another and another.

Oh great, isn't this going to be fun. She rolled her eyes as yet another slytherin had joined Erys. "I'm sure if you were ever exposed, you'd die," she muttered to herself. Sometimes she liked to picture Erys as the wicked witch of the west from that stupid muggle musical, the wizard of oz. She wished she could just throw water on the priss and watch her melt, but it wasn't that easy.
"How was I supposed to know whether or not you had a boyfriend, Nitwit! You live underground for god's sake!" She didn't care about Erys' past or present for that matter. Laney just wished she knew more about the girl. Erys sure knew alot about her.
"Maybe he found someone better, or maybe he came to his senses and realized Claw's are disgusting."
Carolanne quickly turned her head in the boy's direction, "Shut it you!" Why couldn't they just leave him out of this? Erys' next comment was enough to make her blow, but she was determined to not let the Slytherin break her but it was too much. She could feel her heart pounding. "Shut up, Erys. You don't even know what the whole thing's about, alright!"

"I'm sure if you were ever exposed, you'd die." At this, Erys laughed, a sound so evil and malevolently gleeful that it seemed to make the trees shudder as it echoed throughout them. Even they didn't feel like messing with her today. "If I were ever exposed," She began calmly, "I would deal with it. No, you and your little sobstory friends are sitting around whining and crying about your poor little loss. Just get over it." So you cheated on your boyfriend? It happened. Sure, it made you a commonplace harlot, but that didn't mean you couldn't still live your life? "You brought this on yourself, you snivelling coward!"
"Next time you go around picking fights with your superiors, do your homework." Wise words; the 'Claw would do well to remember them. You dont just march into battle without a plan. How did she think they triumphed over Voldemort? It shouldn't have happened, he was such a brilliant man.. But hey, new generation, new baddy. Maybe Erys should get into the Dark Arts business.
Laney was close to snapping, the waterworks were practically sparkling in her pathetic little eyes. It was then Erys began to circle, a smirk plain as day on her beautiful face. "Unlike you, I keep tabs on everyone in the school. I know enough about everything to know that you cheated on Cris. You snuck out into the forest, played damsel in distress, and snogged Maxi. Your brother's ex, whom he was still in love with." Wow, she sure knew alot. "Does that make you feel good? Does that make you smile, knowing you all but destroyed the lives of two people close to your heart? I hope you enjoyed it, your life is going to be hell from now on."

"Odd how it all works out. Seems Ashton is with Cris now. Is it something in the family, or the water here?" Polaris mused to herself, quite content in watching the two go at it. She enjoyed watching fights, it gave her opportune. To what? Now wasn't the time to say. But if she had to pick sides.. she'd be with Erys. No matter how they fought, she was in the right.
Continuing to watch the spat, Polaris smirked with amusement.

Carolanne shook her head, "It was a figure of speech. As in, you know... calling you a, well, let's just use witch for now," she said glaring Erys down. To her next statement, Laney couldn't help but agree, "We both know you're right, Erys, so why continue on the subject? Sure, I did a pretty stupid thing and now all I'm doing is paying the consequences. I get that, alright?!"
Carolanne laughed, "Do my homework on what exactly? On you? What do you mean to me? Nothing, Erys. You're just a stuck up priss you who thinks she's better than everyone else because her mother's in the Ministry. Oh, My! What's mommy gonna do, huh?" Laney was getting pretty tired of Erys' crap, but like the whole Maxi situation, she had brought this on herself and she was going to deal.
Carolanne kept her eyes glued to Erys. She knew what she was trying to do, yet Laney allowed it. She was letting Erys get to her, "You don't even know the bottom of it Erys. You wouldn't understand! At least I have a heart! Sure, my life may end up going to hell, but Hunny, I can deal! I'm not afraid of it, nor am I afraid of you!"

The flash of lightning illuminated the harsh green gleam in Erys' eyes, and the Slytherin laughed, "Then why are you here? What else do you want to do, braid my hair and paint my nails?" As to the Ravenclaw's next comment, she burst out laughing, tears in her eyes, "Do you honestly think that? All that I am, all I have accomplished.. Is because of me. Because I had the guts to claw my way up the food chain until I was at the very top. I worked my ass off. My mother had no influence on anything, except for my animagus permit." Snorting, Erys rolled her eyes, tired of the vain attempts at verbally harming her. What was she even doing here? She knew nobody but a Slytherin could dish back something so harsh it made her hurt, even a little. Seems she over-estimated the 'Claw brat.
"Aren't Ravenclaws supposed to be the brains of the bunch? The Einstein's of the litter? If you're so smart, then you'd know to never underestimate anybody, especially me." Erys replied calmly, though there was a steely glint in her eyes, "And do I look like I want to understand your pathetic little situation you dug yourself into?"
"Brains love." Erys spat, "Hearts pump blood. Everything you're feeling, all that compassion and anger and hate. Its in your mind, not the organ beating in your chest." Laney was a fool to believe otherwise.
