Quilla sat silently, letting the gentle waves cover her feet. The sun was just rising over the horizon. It was odd for Quills to be up so early, but she needed to get away from the giggles of her roommates. The other girls often taunted her, but she hardly noticed.
With a sigh, Quilla flopped back onto the grass. The sky was streaked with purple and orange. She loved moments like this. Closing her eyes, Quill let the serenity wash over her. Perhaps she should write a letter to her father. He must be worried about how she was doing. Yet again, he always worried.
A loud crack rang out across the grounds. Quilla shot up and grabbed her wand, pointing it in the direction of the sound. Who on earth made that much noise at 5 in the morning?!

Blaire Lestrange had been going for a run when she accidentally stepped on a tree branch. Blaire loved to wake up early in the mornings and go for runs before anyone else was awake. It helped her clear her head. When she stepped on the branch it made a loud crack.
She continued running until she noticed a girl with her wand held high. "Woah, its fine. You can put your wand down. I was just running and stepped on something," Blaire explained to the girl, waiting for her to lower her wand.

Dream was taking an early morning walk with her cat Twilight. She was not an early riser by any means though. She had been up all night due to a new roommate's loud snoring. She had been just about to put a permanent silencing charm on her when Twilight had suggested taking a walk. The sound of the lake rippling against the shore and watching the sun rise and moon set on the water was enough to calm her down so she didn't want to do anyone any permanent damage. She was looking down at a shell in the sand when she heard a loud CRACK close by. She turned her head alertly and watched as a girl walked up to one of her housemates, who looked a little spooked at the moment. She had seen the Gryffindor girl around the Common Room but hadn't met her yet. She didn't recognize the other girl at all. She walked over to them in order to introduce herself. She hoped they wouldn't mind the intrusion too much. "Hi guys. Nice morning, huh?" she said softly with a friendly smile on her face.

Quilla lowered her wand and gave a small smile. "Sorry 'bout that. The noise startled me when all else is quiet." She held out her hand and said, "Quilla Royce, 6th year, Gryffindor. I don't think we've met before, though I may have seen you around once in a while."
Another girl came up to the pair and Quills nodded in agreement. "Nothing like a crisp morning walk, eh? I see I'm not alone in enjoying nature's beauty." The girl laughed a little and plopped herself down where she had been previously. "Care to join me?"
