Ginny had been trying to catch up on her school work for days on end. Sleep had soon become a four letter word she was living on coffee and sugary candies in order to stay up longer and later. Burning the midnight oil was a silly phrase since she was burning the dawn hours instead. Bags began to appear under her eyes dark and unattractive which is why there was a large bottle of cover up on her dresser. She placed some on now blotting until it blended with her skin the dark circles disappearing but she knew they were still there which wasn't a comfort.
Today was a day for fun Ginny had no interest in working or in studying. Before all this she was the partier the one who got things started. This whole bookworm thing she had going on, so not cool. She was going to head outside.
Flying had been her passion since she was young. Growing up with so many brothers most of which had been on the Quidditch team Ginny's love for the flying and the game was inevitable. For a time she had even been on the team but so much was going on in her life that she had to give up her spot. It was a hard decision but one that had to be made.
She had missed it though often she would come down to the pitch and watch the teams practice wishing she was the one up there. Since she wasn't she had to fly when the pitch was free and she wasn't so busy.
That's what she was doing now dressed in jeans and a t-shirt new sneakers on her feet she headed down to the sheds to get a school broom. They weren't the fastest or the best but they were all she had available to her so she used one happily. Taking it out she walked back the pitch in sight when she saw a lone figure walking in the same direction. She couldn't make out who it was at least not yet hopefully it wasn't a Slytherin she was in no mood for one of them to come and harass her. Standing she waited.

The beautiful April sun was shinning down on the Quidditch pitch at Hogwarts, the skies were perfectly blue and there was not a cloud in the sky. It was the perfect day for being outside and socking up a few rays, having a laugh with your mates and relaxing after a hard week of work. For Harrison he was sitting in the high stands at the Quidditch pitch, lounging on one of the long benches with his Defence Against the Dark Arts book open. Yes Harrison Greg was actually working and in the peace and quiet of the Quidditch stadium it was the perfect place manly because there was no one to actually see him work, he did have a reputation to keep up.
He had just finished reading a chapter on Dark Magic when he swore he heard someone enter the stadium. Sitting up Harrison looked down at the pitch to see someone walking across the grass with a broom in hand, if they were going to fly he could not have them seeing him study. Snapping his book closed Harrison quickly ran down the steps out of the stand and he was half tempted to run back to the commonroom when he thought he would venture out onto the pitch and towards the red haired girl.
She just seemed to be waiting for him and as Harrison grew closer to noticed who it was, Ginny Weasley a fellow Gryffindor. He had only seen her from time to time and would have the odd conversation but never anything serious after all he always had his fan girls around him.
“Good Morning Miss Weasley good day for flying is it not.”
In all honesty Harrison hated flying, it just messed up his hair and the thought about flying miles above the ground and possible falling to his death really did not appeal to him, after all what is the fun in throwing a few balls around and getting them through hoops?

wind swept hair, and a handsome face were walking in her direction. His silhouette coming closer and closer Ginny had no doubt who was walking her way. Harrison Greg Mr. Popular as Ginny frequently referred to him. She looked around expecting to see the usual gaggle of girls following him around most times you couldn't see him without them.
OK she knew she should stop, Ginny and he had never really spoken before she didn't know him very well so she should stop being miss judgey.
A small wind picked up blowing her red hair about her face, some ended up on her lip so she took her left index finger and removed it. Just at the same moment he reached her and said it was a good day for flying.
Flying one of her favorite words and things to do caused Ginny to grin. "Yeah it's an excellent day for it I couldn't stand being cooped up inside any more and it's been so long since I've been on a broom. What about you? You were coming from the bleachers just staring up at the sky?" Curious girl annoyingly so sometimes her mother always said but she didn't stop there was so much to know and only one way to find out which was by asking.

Harrison continued to walk closer to his fellow Gryffindor and he was finding it hard not to smirk too much as the look on Ginny’s face was priceless. He knew a few things abut many people and it was mainly the things that made the smile meaning conversation where easier to start and he would be in their good books straight away. This was the same tactic he pulled with Miss Weasley and clearly it had worked as straight away a conversation had been started about the conditions of flying. The one thing he was glad about was that she agreed it was good conditions as otherwise he would have looked like a complete idiot trying to pretend he knew what he was talking about when to be honest he had no idea.
However Ginny’s next question surprised him, she seemed to have spotted him coming from the stands and had already inquired about it. It was time for him to have to try and talk his way out of this slight situation and although he was not one to lie the bending of the truth was something he did very well.
“Yeah I was just enjoying the peace.” He gave a small cheesy smile. “It is hell having so many people talk to you, I mean there is only so much Harrison Greg that can go around.”
Oh the big headedness, he even groaned to himself when he said that, he hated to think what other people thought. But then thinking about it even more it was the sort of thing people expected him to say, the typical I am better and more popular then you attitude, however Harrison was slowly learning that popularity was not everything.

When he said it Ginny just looked over at him she was used to being around guys knew that they could be cocky but those were her brothers it was odd seeing it come from one of her classmates. Dinny sort of stared wondering why he felt the need to do that in front of her. She didn't hold back when she probably should have. "Does that really work, I mean that cocky attitude." No one would ever call Ginny Weasley demure or utterly girly. Maybe she could have been a bit more tactful with her question but why trying to pussyfoot around never really got anyone anywhere did it. Harrison was a pretty cool guy he didn't need to act that way at least not with her. She doubted he was being honest about his reasons for being in the stands. Yeah there were usually girls hanging all over him but looking around she didn't see any now. Plus, there were plenty of other places to be alone.
"You can tell me you know, I'm not the kind to be all judgmental and everything. I like to think that I'm on of those down to earth kind of chicks you know you can tell me just about anything and it would probably not phase me as much as you think." She hitched the broom higher on her shoulder. She was itching to get up there but this was far more interesting. She had always found Mr. Greg quite interesting something she would never tell him didn't need his head getting any bigger.

Harrison was slightly taken a back by the comment that had been thrown at him by Ginny; she was one not to fall for his normal public façade and the more he interacted with people outside his house and little fan base the more he realised that arrogance clearly was not an attractive feature in guys. Nervously scratching the back of his neck Harrison put a broad grin on his face and looked over at the red haired Gryffindor trying not to show too much of a weakness.
“Depends who I am talking to.” He chuckled and his hand dropt to his side. “Clearly there is no point with you as you see right through it.”
The Gryffindor was unsure why he thought that him being nervous was a weakness, he was so used to people believing he was in control of a situation and having an answer to everything that at moment like this he felt inadequate. Maybe it was because the girls he normally had following would not have the same IQ level if they put all of it together to match that of Ginny’s. Harrison knew there was no point in trying to try and come up with anymore tales of why he was up in the stand, Ginny seemed so determined to find out she would properly fly up to the higher levels of the stand and discover the text books. With a small sigh Harrison flicked his fringe so it was no longer hindering his vision and looked at the red head and gave her a small smile.
“If you must know then Miss Weasley I was studying for my up coming exams and the Quidditch Pitch stands is one of the only places I can do that in private.”
He wanted to add ’Happy now’ to the end of the sentence but he could not help but feel it would add that tone to it which just made him seem like a complete arse. This must not be mistaken though, Harrison was an arse, but not all of the time, he did have moments when he was relatively normal but those were only very rare small moments.

Ginny had been brash her brothers always blamed themselves for this particular trait of hers. They felt that boys were meant to be brash, to tell it like it is, girls should sit back and just accept the way things are and say nothing . That's how normal girls behave Ginny they would say, too bad Ginny wasn't normal girls she had six brothers for crying out loud how could she be anything else. Poor Harrison probably wasn't used to it, he was probably used to girl number two. She couldn't be number two she didn't like number two.
"I see through it because I see you. The groupies just want to see what they want to see. I'm sure there's more to you than that persona that's the part I want to know."
Maybe he found it hard to believe someone out there could possibly see more to him. That someone wouldn't accept that arrogant attitude and accept it at face value. Now all that was left was to see if he had it in him to come clean and just be real with someone. He did he told her that he had been out there studying for exams. Ginny smiled.
"Now was that so hard? Yes I am happy now, you did want to say that am I right. I see it all over face of yours." She laughed because that was exactly what she would have said to someone who had done that to her. She in fact said it all the time. "Like I said I wasn't going to judge you for it, you needed to study and you came to a place where you could make that happen. Heck if I had people bugging me all the time I'd probably come out here too up in the stand not many can see you."

The wind blew through the high stands around them causing the flags to flutter in the wind and send ripples through the cloth donning the house logos of the school. By the time it reached the two Gryffindors it was not as powerful but it was still able to lift up the occasional strands of hair that covered Harrison’s head and let them dance in the wind. Normally Harrison would be desperately trying to flatten it down to stop it losing the style and volume he spent so hard working on that morning, however today he was paying far to much attention to what the red head had to say.
“Well I am glad you see me.” Harrison joked. “I am standing right in front of you.” He always did this, when he felt the tiniest bit vulnerable he would cover it up with the fake attitude that had become him, what everyone thought he was. But the problem was that Harrison did not know if there was more to him then this whole popular guys persona he had, he had never really had the chance to explore it and for some nagging reason he did not want to.
A slight frown spread across his features and Ginny continued to offer her two cents on the matter at hand, although it was nice to get conformation that the Quidditch Pitch was a good place to study. It did mean the weather had to be nice and being one so used to attention it did get rather lonely rather quickly which always cut his study time down but some was better then non.
“Yeah but you do not have to get away from people to study though.” Harrison grumbled. “Everyone knows that you study, and train at Quidditch and yet still have time to sit around and have a laugh. For me it is one of the other and socialising tends to win all the time.”
Honesty, now that was a new experience for the Gryffindor and it was strangely refreshing. Harrison was not one to pour his heart out to any random that he happened to bump into that day on the Quidditch pitch and their was no way anyone would know the deepest secrets that harboured inside Harrison Greg, ((OOC: I do not even know and I rp him haha!)) but as always he knew it was good to rant away from time to time and stop that frustration from building up within.

Harrison was highly entertaining, he made these comments others might find them to be sarcastic but Ginny saw them as some sort of defense mechanism maybe she was getting too close to the surface so he had to make light of it. Be that as it may Ginny didn't let that phase her. Sometimes her brothers acted that way so she was used to it.
Ginny was trying to understand where he was coming from, but maybe she just couldn't. Yes people knew who she was because of Harry and definitely because of her family, all of them had been in Gryffindor before her but Harrison's popularity was something different. People swarmed him and didn't seem to give him time to breathe like something of his would rub off on him if they hung out more.
"No you're right I have no idea what it's like my life here is pretty normal, but not everyone who is around you wants to hang on your coat tails. There are some of us interested in getting to know the real Harrison Greg, not the one who puts on a front, so far what I've seen of him I really like."
He had been honest with her and she was in no doubt that it took a lot for him to reveal that bit of himself. Ginny wasn't like the others that hung around him though she wasn't interested in anything but getting to know who he really was. "If you just want to hang out and be normal the I'm your girl," came the offer from Ginny Weasley.

As Harrison stood there on the Quidditch Pitch looking at the ginger haired Gryffindor he knew all he needed was a sofa to lie down on and pay Ginny stupid amounts of money per hour and he would have a full on Therapy session going on. Shifting his weight from one foot to the other uncomfortably Harrison gave a small cough as to clear his throat but really it was the only way he could think of trying to stop the silence that would fall over them as Ginny made her next evaluation of his personality. It actually got to a point where he was tempted to get himself a broom and fly around this bloody pitch just to stop the interrogation.
But as he listened to Ginny talk once more, and mention how she wanted to get to know the ’real’ Harrison Greg all he could do was laugh. Then she offered him a proposal that was so easy to turn down. Flicking his fringe away from his sunglasses covered eyes Harrison just looked at his fellow Gryffindor, a coy smile filling his face.
“Sweetheart this is the real Harrison Greg.” He held out his arms like many religious figures in the portraits. The sunlight glistened off his sunglasses and he knew that had it been any of his normal fan girl’s they would be swooning already but not Ginny. With a small sigh Harrison lowered his hands and stuffed them into his trouser pockets, yet again the out shell was originally shown but quickly beaten back at his own free will. “Ok Ginny, I might take you up on that offer one day.” He offered her a small smile. “But then I guess it also depends on what your definition of normal is?”

It sort of crashed and burned. Here she was trying to see if there was a different side to him and well he was clearly showing her that there wasn't. It was a shame Ginny had high hopes, but she should have known better than to harbor those false hopes. Perhaps one day he would change realize there was more to life than popularity and the occasional tart with nothing better to do than cling to the false hope that he might just give a damn one.
Ginny didn't say any of this to him though figuring she already sounded too much like she was trying to be his shrink. He didn't seem to want to heed her advice anyway so she wasn't going to waste any more breath. It was sort of sad though but if he was happy this way then it wasn't her place to make him think he needed to change that.
He said he might take her up on her offer one day. Fat chance, she figured since he didn't seem to keen on it in the first place. "That would be up to you the offer will always stand. It simply means a day when you don't have to hide in the stands to get some peace and quiet to study. A day when you can simply just hang out and not have a plethora of girls hanging on your every word. Something like what we're doing right now. A day when the girl you're with doesn't want just one thing." That's what she meant by normal.
