Karis has been working hard all day, finally she had found a not so quiet, but not so loud place to finish her Care Of Magical Creatures essay in an environment which suited her. She couldn't concentrate when it was too quiet, the same with it being too loud. Deciding to observed the marvelous, yet annoying Whomping willow for the first time in a while, she made her way down after dinner to see what it was annoyed at today. Sitting down a fair, and safe, distance away from the violent tree, Karis buttoned up her navy blue cardigan and hugged her knees attempting to keep warm. It was dark out, but there was the slightest bit of orange and purple that was visible in the sky still, and she watched as it eventually disappeared into darkness. Forcing her eyes back over to the tree, she watched as a bird naively attempted to land on it, before being rudely thrown from it violently. It chirped in disagreement and flew away, and Karis gave a small giggle.

Bradyn, for lack of better entertainment, was stalking around the lawns in his famous animagi form. It always amused him that though most people knew he was 'the kitty boy' no one could usually recognize him, as there's a lot of cats at Hogwarts. At times, it could be rather annoying, but in general he felt lucky. Perhaps it was just a perk that the girls found it so adorable, too.
Chasing a bird across the lawns without fears of being judged, he snickered in a cat-like way as it flew too close to the whomping willow and got beaten back. Wretched thing, certainly it got what it deserved. Then, spying a student taking the interesting choice of scenery close to the tree he smirked on the inside and changed back behind one of the closer, and less dangerous, trees before walking up to her.
"Nice to see there's a student who finds a moving tree so amusing?" He said with a little brow raise, mostly misinterpreting the cause for her laughter and guessing she was muggleborn.

Rubbing her arms with her hands trying to get some heat to her body, Karis had huddled up as much as she physically could to try and beat the cold, and pulled her sleeves over her hands. Shivering, she watched the tree. Hearing a voice, she jumped a little mixed with a shiver and she turned around to see another student there.
"Nice to see there's a student who finds a moving tree so amusing?"
"It still amazes me that after all these years it's still so angry!" Karis gave a quick laugh. She still hadn't found any information as to why the tree existed or why it was so violent. She smiled at the boy and patted the spot next to her, signalling to him that it was okay to sit next to her. Looking back at the tree for a moment, she saw it shake, before settling once again, and then looked back at the boy. "I'm Karis Isolde" she introduced. "I'd shake your hand but it's too cold" she gave a friendly smile.
