Ash swore loudly, having just realised that The Guild was having a meeting. Racing down the corridor, he found the room, and pulled the door open. Racing breathlessly into the room, he looked around sheepishly. "Sorry, I'm late." he muttered before going off to occupy a dark corner.

Felicity sighed, stood up, and plopped over by Bray. Her attention quickly switched back over to Girty, then to the names. Her gaze scanned them quickly, and she comitted them to memory. "Professor Everritt?" The name sparked something in her mind and her eyes widened slightly. "Oh he-"
Some man seemed to have entered the room, and cut Felicity off. Slightly spiteful, she turned her attention to him, making sure she still had some acid in her gaze. Well, he certainly was no student, that was for sure. Boggleworth was it? Fay held back her snort and tugged on her sleeve.
Erika seemed to have joined the party as well. Felicity had no real resentment toward the girl, except for the fact that she seemed destined to hate Bray. And everyone of her friends knew that Fay would beat someone down if they insulted her friends. Strange to think that the veela would be that threatening.
Ashton seemed to have come too. Felicity grinned and waved him over, patting the chair close to her. She hadn't seen the Captain lately.

Laughing at Girty's reaction Boggleworth warmly hugged her back, embracing her like a much beloved sister, "it's great to be back Girt," he replied, hugging her tighter then abruptly releasing her with a laugh. "You'll be making everyone jealous," he joked, "and of course I've many motives at once, you know me too well."
Smiling around he added for all to hear, "but don't worry, I shan't spill your secrets to the wrong people," but I will spill them to the right ones, he thought grimly, knowing others might not think the Red Rose League helped them, but really it was working towards a better future, one that they had to make together in the end, or else there would just be conflict again and again. "I'm here to help you, I know you'll find it hard to believe, but those who know me, at all, can tell you I care for this school a lot; probably too much as I can't keep away." But he'd kept a away for too long already, and kept away from the one person who meant the most in his life, that had nearly killed him having to do that. He really had hated himself for leaving her at all, never mind the manner in which he had departed. He didn't know if he could live it down at all in fact.
Noticing a definate iciness in the room, particularly from one girl who looked pretty annoyed at his intrusion he thought he'd best make amends so said, "really I'm sorry for arriving so abruptly," he nodded his head towards the girl, "but I believe I can help you," he wouldn't say how though yet, "if you want the assistance that is?" He asked the room in general.
Always he'd believed the Guild needed to take more action, but people had been somewhat reluctant to commit themselves, and too right they should be, who wouldn't prefer keeping their lives hassle free? But himself he believed each person had a duty, to help and aid each other. Some wouldn't admit there was a major problem at the minute, they tried to live on in blissful ignorance, but he believed they had to make a stand and shape the future how they wished it to be. Afterall they were the future.

Ash waved at Felicity, and went over to sit with her. "Hey there, didn't know you were a Guild member." He whispered in her ear, hoping that Boggleworth wouldn't catch him talking instead of paying attention. Not that he wasn't paying atteention, because he was. But still, better safe than sorry!

Felicity gave a slight nod to the man, but her lips pressed together ever so slightly. And, for everyone who knew her, they probably could tell she was trying to hold back the number of vulgar statements she was going to let fly.
As Ash came over to sit by them, a smirk crossed Felicity's face. "I thought I could help the guild with my...talents. Good for interrogation." She murmured, so most likely only Ash and possibly Bray could hear her. Her gaze was still locked on the Boggleworth man, so it looked like she was paying attention to him.
Recently, Fay had come to terms with what she was, and decided to use her talents to help the Guild. Maybe even help train them to fight a veela's charm. Because who knew what they would go up against.

[Guess I'll get off me lazy bum and post.] Bradyn spaced out a bit, or at least that's the way it appeared. Instead, he was just focusing on the sounds of the room, trying to hear even the softest of whispers. When the newcomer, Boggleworth apparently being his name, decided to speak to them as a whole, he glanced up at him. Bray didn't really want to respond, since on a normal situation he would've just said 'sure, do what you want' but was displaying such trust to a complete stranger a good idea? He didn't think so and decided to keep his idea simple. "Hmph."
So instead he turned his head and listened in on Fay and Ashton's conversation next to them, chuckling lightly at Fay's implied veela comment. "How completely sexist, but I like it." He whispered, and wondered if Ash knew or that Fay had told him. Or was it just a publicly known fact about her now? Bradyn was always confused about who knew, and decided that he would never openly say it unless Fay had done so first, lest she pound his face in.

Post by Jerred Boneman on Jan 2, 2008 7:57:29 GMT
Jerred couldn't help but smile when he saw Girty's face at his little display, but he had calmed down now and turned to see an old, but familiar face enter the room within an instant, Jerred went tense.
Henry Boggleworth introduced himself, telling everyone he was in the Red Rose League and with that, put him in a bad case with Jerred. He kept his face calm, yet inside he was wanting to lash out for he knew that Henry would be forced to report to whoever sent him.
Jerred looked at Henry now, with a rare intensity he rarely showed. 'We don't need the Red Rose League.' Jerred said, snapping slightly. 'All we need is someone who can give us outside support, which obviously is you, but with the backing of the RRL, you're motives do come into question.'
'I know I only came here this year, but I do know when an Organisation does have bad motives. I don't doubt you're loyalty to us, especially to the school, but I do doubt the motives of your seniors.' Jerred said, now frowning and speaking harshly. 'The Rogues and the Ministry are just as bad, if a Rogue just happened to walk through that door, and if what that Ravenclaw Bradyn said is true, then we have a good chance it is Professor Addis.'
Jerred knew of who Prof Everritt truly was, but because of a hidden loyalty to the protection of the school, Jerred wasn't going to reveal it any time soon. He looked at the Ravenclaw out of the corner of his eyes and stared a dark hole into the Ravenclaw before he spoke.
'I don't know how you know, but the safety of the man you shouldn't of told anyone who he is. He's a wanted man, marked for death by the Ministry, and if what the rumours say are true about him that he is a "Ghost That Walks", then he has already died and come back to life, which makes it more imperitive that he remains hidden!' Jerred said, now fuming. He rarely lost his anger and now he had. His eyes were cold, his face red and his hands tightly curled into fists and the ever present urge to reach for his wand and hex the Ravenclaw was there.
Slowly he turned away from the Ravenclaw and looked at Henry once more and spoke as calmly as he could, 'You can tell your superiors Addis is hiding within the school, is a member of the Rogues and is hidden with an identity that if broken, his life and the life of all of us that know, are done for.' He now breathed in slowly and walked over to the wall, leant against it and sank to the floor, crossing his arms as he did so. He closed his eyes and smiled slightly, awaiting the onslaught he should receive.
((And it's true, no student should actually know of Addis's identity as Everritt as well -_- Oh well... Have to play along now and YES, if you don't know, I AM LEIGH, same person as Addis... and Morziak... and Shiela the dragon... and Striker... And someone else I think...? Meh.))

He'd be lying if he'd said he hadn't expected a little tension but such an icy atmosphere was a surprise. Only Girty trusted him; as only Girty really knew him, the others he guessed he'd just have to win their trust, and that would likely take time. Time he didn't really have.
Looking about he did notice people whispering, it really wasn't that difficult as he himself had down the same thing in lessons. But this wasn't a lesson, and it was important, if someone had something to say, even if it was slating him he'd rather they came right out and said it, than whispered and shot him evils when he wasn't looking. This was deadly serious, few people ever seemed to grasp the severity of the situation, that's what he'd always found so infuriating, by now he'd come to realise it was how people reacted, and he'd grown to simply endure it.
Actually grinning as Jerred started his retort, he smiled thinking, just like the good times, it's nice to see some people don't change. But he'd never quite lost his cool like that before, so Boggleworth's brow crinkled as he began his defence. "Believe me when I say this, I shall only inform one person with my findings, and I'd trust him with my life, I frequently do in fact." He chuckled, "unfortunately I cannot give you the name of this person, but they are trustworthy I promise you."
"You're right Jerred, yeh I'm surprised I agree with you too," he grinned, then went deadly serious once again, "my loyalty still is to this school, and the pupils here," he cast a glance about the room, "but you forget Jerred, when did I play by the rules?" Even as Head Boy he had done what he had felt right and proper, not what his superiors had said, for he believed his morals were right, and he trusted them, on the other hand, "I don't much trust my superiors, but I'm growing to, they are decent people and their motives aren't entirely disimilar from our own. But everyone has their weaknesses, I'm sure you'd jump to point out mine," his eyes flickered to the girl who had barely contained the evils she wished to shoot at him, as if daring her to speak out against him.
Eyes turning to Jerred once more he nodded, "already done, I've already happened upon him, or rather he found and saved me." He grinned, typical Addis really. "If I've any say we'll definitely help him, the time is coming when the Red Rose League will start open action, at long last." He breathed thinking it really was about time, he'd always been impatient to remove the corruptness from the Ministry, but his methods were a little less clever than those of the Red Rose League. "Addis is clever, he shouldn't be found out, but we'll help him," he vowed, knowing that even if his fellow Red Roses wouldn't that he at the very least would.

Felicity was about ready to snap someone's head off, but that wouldn't be very good would it? She bit down on her lip to hold back the stream of profanities she was about to let fly. Not very lady-like, but she blamed her parents for teaching her.
Well, this whole Professor Addis thing was new to her, and her eyes widened slightly. Felicity stood, brushed herself off, and looked at the rest of the room. She shot a glare at Jerred for snapping at Bray, she had enough nerve to sock him, but thought against it.
"Well, if what you all say is true, then I believe we should keep the Professor out of it. If he's in trouble with the ministry, why drag him into more mess?" And of course, Fay still had a debt to pay toward the man, because of how he saved her in the forest. But she wasn't about to admit that to anyone.
Felicity turned back to the Red Rose League man, her gaze turning icy again. "And, as much as I really hate to admit it, I agree with Boneman." Of course she realized how all of them were sticking their necks out, and they in were huge danger. But she didn't trust this League of his.
Fay sat back down next to Bray, and fought back a smirk. She knew one way that they could get the man to talk, but she didn't really want to do it at the moment. Felicity snickered softly and leaned back against her chair. Of course, she wouldn't mind knowing what the Red Rose League was up to. And, it seemed, only Ash and Bray would really know what she would be planning, since they knew what she was. Fay doubted that anyone else had found out, unless someone 'spilled the beans' so to speak.

Bradyn summoned up a stare so icy that he barely believed he was capable of it. He stayed calm and looked at Boneman head on. "You, need to calm down. We're all friends here." He said, deciding that would be the best way to begin to convey his point, even if it was an old line and a lie. Biting his bottom lip, he fought the erge to sick his glare on Erika even for a moment.
"We are not the ministry, do you really think that having this secret out to us would hurt him? That having his students knowing and behind his back would hurt him? Or are you dense enough to think that I wanted to harm one of our professors, and that I'm just going to run off with this information and tell the world?" Though his voice begged to escalate into a shout, he kept it calm and soft. But even through his calm demeanor, his heart was racing with anxiety and irritation. So the rumours he heard, were true? Unbelievable. Who was this student?
After he heard Fay stand up next to him, his heart skipped a beat. Bray stared up at Fay the entire time, making sure he could jump up before anything happened. Bradyn was not going to let a fight start out over his account, and he swore to himself for him and Boneman getting Fay's veela side riled up. It was the last thing they needed right now. Ignoring Boneman, he turned his attention back to the issue of the man from the League, though he kept quiet about that. Something about him seemed trustworthy to him, but this obviously was an incorrect feeling if he was the only one to feel it.

Post by Maria Turolia on Jan 3, 2008 3:03:11 GMT
Maria sat silently, observing the events around her carefully. Her face never showing the slightest surprise or emotion. She sat as though indifferent to the whole situation and just observed. The tension in the room at the entrance of Henry Boggleworth didn't surprise her. Girty was the only one who really knew him, and no one else would be inclined to trust someone they didn't know, not in these dangerous times. She watched the guest as he spoke, listening to what he said, and deciding if she thought he should be trusted.
Jerred's reactions didn't surprise her. He was always one who spoke whatever was on his mind. The tension between the Guild members had always been a problem. Even now when they had someone who none of them trusted they still found the time to argue amongst themselves. She just watched silently, calmly as the conflicts went on.
Finally, Maria decided that she would speak up. Not something she did often. "Bradyn, I'm sure that Jerred did not mean he didn't trust you. It's just that when dealing with a secret the fewer people that know, the better. And, Jerred, now it's out and there is nothing that can be done but to trust those people in this room to keep the secret to themselves. Being angry with Bradyn solves nothing." Maria looked around the room at the others. She knew that Jerred was right to be angry. People in general couldn't be trusted with secrets, but she did hope that the ones that sat around her could.
"Henry," she said looking back at the guest. "I hope you do understand that while I would be inclined trust just you, I do not feel inclined to trust the one you will report to. I do not making a habit of trusting people I've never even met, and now is certainly not the time I will start, whether you trust him or not." She kept her calm and indifferent face the whole time she spoke and returned to silently observing when she had finished.

Girty stepped back from Bog and looked at everyone in the room with a broad grin on her face hoping the rest would rejoice in his reappearance as much as her, but there was a slight problem no body else knew him. Her smile slowly faded as she saw the looks others were giving him, the whispers between themselves and then some people even openly saying they will not trust him, they would not trust her closest friend. This needed to be amended somehow but the rest of them now seemed intent on arguing between themselves. Maria seemed to be the only one who showing any signs of trust, but Girty expected nothing else from her after all she was a Hufflepuff.
“Everyone listen to me Bog is trustworthy. Do you want me to right it out for you on the board? There is nobody in this world I would rather trust my life with then this man and that is saying a lot seeing as I love my life and do want it to end yet.” She shot Bog a small smile before turning back to the rest, shooting them a glare that demanded silence. “Yes he helps out the Red Rose League but they just like us, they are fighting the Ministry to end the corruptness, to make the wizarding world safe again. They are not evil, I do not know where all this hate has come from. We need to work with them, without them what difference will a bunch students make.”
Girty took a deep breath. She could not believe she was sticking up for the organisation that had the killer of Thom as there leader. But time was an amazing thing and slowly Girty was working out it was an accident, his death would not have been in vain and at least he went out with a bang which is something Thom always joked about doing.
“So I say you trust Bog as he is a Hufflepuff. He is not a Slytherin who betrays people for their own gain. He is not a Ravenclaw who believe that because they have a slightly greater intelligence they can say what ever they like and get away with it. And he is not a Gryffindor who are brave to the extent of stupidity and act before they think. He is a Hufflepuff, fiercely loyal to his friends true and trustworthy. Bog is staying and if you do not like it then I suggest you leave. Now.”
Girty folded her arms almost as a way of closing the matter, as she saw it anyone who would not trust her closest friend then she wanted them out, they can make their own little stand but with a such closed minded attitude they would not get far.

Ash sighed. "Pardon me for interrupting Girt, but Hufflepuff is not better than the others. And the reason I say this, before you go biting my head off, is because there is no such thing as the 'best house' All of the houses are equal. We might have our own individual preferences, but in the end it all comes down to teamwork and equality. If there is inter-house bickering, then we won't get anything done." He paused and looked around. "We may not trust people at first, but still, if we have any hope of acheiving our goal, we need to set aside our petty little differences and work together. Each house can contribute something."

Girty listened to Ashton and what he has to say but as he spoke a small smile spread across her face as she tried to stop herself from laughing. She shot Bog a quick glance and raised her eyebrow before turning back to Ashton. Girty agreed with his points that inter house fighting would hinder them but then thing she found funny was that he was aiming it at her. If anything it should have been to the Ravenclaw and Slytherin that were bickering between each other.
“Ashton I did not actually use the word ‘best’ anywhere in that sentence? I merely highlighted the qualities that make Bog trustworthy. I could have said the negative that Hufflepuff always look for the good in people, which really wouldn’t have helped my argument.”
Shooting him a small smile Girty looked at everyone else wondering if there was going to be anymore protests or arguments before walking over towards the board and looking at the names once again that were on there. She naturally lingered over Simons name for a while longer then everybody else’s before turning back to the others thinking about what the others had said.
“We need to make contact with Leigh Addis. I guess finding him would be a good start. So do any of you have any ideas?”

Felicity nodded, agreeing with Ashton. "It has nothing to do with house against house. If you trust him Girty," Her gaze slid to the man for a moment, then back to Girty. "Then I will give him a chance." That was saying a lot, sicne Fay rarely trusted anyone. Save for her friends.
Fay leaned back and crossed her arms. "I understand he is your friend Girty, but you must understand how we feel as well." She glanced around the room, before continuing. "Not all of us have had the pleasure of meeting this man before. So you must understand the hesitance we have toward him." Fay held up her hand. "Not to say that it couldn't be changed, but it is not a second descision."
Nodding once to herself, she crossed her legs. Felicity decided not to snap at anyone at the moment. Girty trusted the man, and Felicity knew to trust Girty. So, she would give the man a shot. If he betrayed the trust though, she would come down on him hard. There was no mercy when it came to messing with one of her friends.
"Now, about the Professor, I, er, saw him in the forest, once." Felicity bit her lip for a moment. "I could try to contact him in some way, unless someone else has an idea?"
((Had to fix it cause you posted before me Girty xD))
