Maria looked walked quickly along the corridors. She knew that she was already incredibly late. She had gotten so busy with what she was doing that she had completely forgotten about the meeting. There had whispers, bulletins, and other reminders yet she had still managed to get so caught up in other things that were going on that she had forgotten.
Finally, when the tapestry came into view, she took a quick look around to make sure there was no one there, before slipping behind it into the room where the meeting was being held. Maria looked around at everyone that was already there. She gave a slight, apologetic nod to Girty for her tardiness, before taking a seat. She sat down silently. They had already started the meeting, so Maria didn't want to disturb anyone who had been talking anymore than she already had.

Jac had seen a younger Hufflepuff going the same direction she was and had fallen back. She didn't want the Hufflepuff to see her as she was on a secret mission and could not afford to be spotted at any time. She slunk sneakily along the wall, adopting the colouring of the wall as she went along. It was a very good disguise for someone who would quickly glance by but if someone studied where she was they would see her shadow and if someone saw her from the side they would notice a very oddly shaped wall. Knowing this, Jac moved very quickly along the wall, not giving anyone the chance to study her.
Soon she reached the tapestry and laughed quietly to herself. She heard voices, faint but they were there, emanating from behind the heavy cloth. She quickly gazed up and down the thin corridor, saw no one and changed her appearance into her personal favourite, Prof Vance. Looking as grumpy as she could, Jac moved the tapestry aside and moved into the dimly lit room beyond, booming, "what in Merlin's name is this?"
As always, Jac couldn't hold Vance's angry and stern composure for very long when people saw who she was, or who she looked like. Jac burst into girly laughter and the appearance she carried melted away, leaving giggly, red-headed Jac clutching her stomach and laughing. She wondered over to Jerred, put an arm around his shoulders and dropped her face into her hand. "I love doing that," she managed to squeak through her laughter.
After a moment, she calmed down, released Jerred and moved to the entrance. She pulled out her wand and frowned at the dark back of the tapestry. "I hope you all know I could hear you guys outside," she said, turning back and looking from face to face. They clearly didn't. She waved her wand at the tapestry and said, "Muffliato. There, now they won't be able to hear us." She gave the tapestry a last look before rejoining the others. She spotted a couch and pulled the dusty old thing out of the corner, making everything that was on top of it collapse, sending dust clouds billowing into the air. "Scourgify," she said, pointing her drawn wand at the couch, and flopped down onto it.
"So," she said, putting her wand away, and smiling up at everyone. "We need to take minutes of this meeting. That way anything anyone's said and said they'd do is recorded and problems we've discovered will also be." She looked around at everyone's faces and added, "no takers?" She sighed and pulled out a piece of parchment, quill and ink pot out of her robes. Looking around, she saw a table top without the legs and she pulled that onto her lap. She straightened the parchment on it and headed it: Seven Ways To De-Flobberworm Your Lettuce Patch
She looked up and smiled at Girty. "So let's do a quick recap for those of us who can't tell the difference between three o'clock and quater past." Jac looked expectantly around and waited patiently for someone to tell her what had been said so far.

Post by Professor Ashton Laurent on Sept 13, 2007 20:24:17 GMT
Ashton had heard about The Guild, and had decided to see if it was worth it. Then again, fighting for anything you believe in was defintley worth it. Walking down the corridor, he managed to get a glimpse of Jac, who he knew was part of it, speeding up, he slipped in behind her, and looked around at everyone. Yes, this was where he belonged. Ashton McLane was no longer the shy, scared, trembling little boy he had been last term. He had changed over the summer. Alot! He was braver, bolder, wiser, more experienced, more daring, more cynical. He even looked different, his sapphire eyes shone with an inner fire, he carried himself with confidence. Head held high, shoulders back, and a determined look on his face. True, he was still a little shy when meeting new people, but for the most part, Ashton McLane, was a child no longer.

Jerred saw Angelique enter the smallish room, saw her smile and replied with one of his own, though only a grim smile it was more than to let her know he had noticed her. He turned to Effie and looked at her, his face showing how truly serious he was.
'Ravenclaws can be in the library, but with a Slytherin? No, won't happen.' He said, rather stubbornly. 'The study groups can exist between Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, but you add a single Slytherin into that midst, then you have a suspicious group entity that'll be tracked and followed by the Ministry, even into the Room of Requirement.'
Jerred still felt determined that no study groups was a good idea. It was then that Jac Biggerstall entered the room, as boisterously as magically as possible. He frowned at her as she approached him, put her arm around him and somehow, through the hysterical laughter she managed to somehow utter a few words, which were barely audible to his ears as they now screamed with pain over the volume of noise.
'What did you say?' He said, obviously going to go unanswered. It was then that Jerred saw another Ravenclaw enter the room, this time another boy. A sigh of relief escaped his lips at the sight of the Ravenclaw, finally, he felt someone who may be able to help him win over with logic.

Jac didn't look at Ashton as he entered the room. No matter how much he had changed since their first meeting, she could not forgive his behaviour and she knew he wasn't about to ask for it. So keeping her eyes on Jerred, she smiled and tickled her quill under her chin. She should have seen this one coming, that he would not understand everything she had said as she had a knack of speaking rather fast when she was excited.
She took a long deep breath and dropped her arm onto the desk top on her lap. She crossed her legs on the couch to stand the desk top on her lap and leaned her elbow on it. "All I'm saying is," she said matter of factly, "is that we need to keep a record of everything that we decided and the problems we identify." She thought about what she had heard Jerred say and smiled. "Like how do we do anything with all the houses and not look suspicious. Problem. Goes in the problem column." She wrote the heading Problems and wrote that as a point as she said it.
"Any other problems?"

Like many others of Hogwarts, Char saw the castle as his home and sanctuary. In his five years of schooling, he had become easily attached to the stone walls and found a surge of contempt for the Ministry who reported nothing but flaws about them. He was also no stranger to the rumors of death and disappearances of the students around him.
He wasn't sure who was invited to "The Guild" or not, but he had heard whispers of it in the Common Room. Stepping through the known entrance, he quietly slipped into the small cluster. His heart was hammering, never having been part of a secret organisation, as he listened to the Slytherin and Jac debate.
"If you're looking for problems..." He started off, his eyes traveling through all the strangers from different houses. "It'll be a problem with keeping this thing secret if you've got everyone whispering about it in the Common Room." He blinked, a bit discomforted by the heads naturally turning to the direction of his voice.

Jerred looked at Jac and frowned. He knew it would be a problem, but they could figure it out. Remaining cool headed and being logical would prevail. He leant against the wall again and crossed his arms, smiling at a thought. Then came in a Gryffindor, his eyes rolling at the sight of another. He fought to keep control of himself and looked over as the Gryffindor spoke.
'I think that's a good thing.' Jerred said, smiling. 'It means we have a cover for the Ministry would not be able to keep track of all the true members if most of the students remain talking about it. We have at least solved this problem. Keep it going so we have cover.'
He smiled triumphantly for a moment, before he looked about and laughed a little nervously.

Acelin was fashionably late as usual. She had gotten lost, not a surprise, but eventually found the tapestry that she had been told about. Looking left and right, Ace pulled the heavy cloth aside and walked in. She heard someone talking, a boy by the sound of it, and she waited for him to finish before she barged in. "Sorry I'm late all," she said, swinging her arms back and forth, smiling around at everyone. She didn’t recognise a great deal of the people present and it wasn’t so bad, being forced to be friendly and make friends. But then again, Ace was always friendly and always tried to make friends.
She spotted Ashton and walked to him. She gave him a one armed hug and kissed him lightly on the cheek, as she did with all she was good friends with. " 'ello Ash," she said and looked around at everyone standing around. Taking the initiative Ace sat in the middle of the room on the floor, crossed her legs and cupped her hands around her ankles. She couldn't help but feel like everyone was watching her as she was being so random but it didn't faze her. Ace smiled around and waited for someone else ro speak as she had no clue what was going on.

Post by Angrod Jacoby on Oct 7, 2007 16:22:54 GMT
Angrod Jacoby had sidled into the meeting room very much like a slippery snake some time ago, he guessed few had even noticed his approach even though he had nodded curtly at those present, in one sweeping gesture not individually as they hadn't earned his respect...yet.
Standing tall backed against the wall Angrod took out his notebook and began scribbling feverishly, contented to simply listen and take rigorous notes.
The group was clearly divided with inter-house differences going strong, they weren't rivalries as such, but the simple way in which the houses grouped together in little cliques was obvious. It was also evident that that would happen and there was little to be done about it, they just had to try and ignore it all.
Angrod's blank gaze swept over the rooms occupants he didn't give them a calculating look, as that would be too obvious but merely swept past them, and listening intently.

"Yes, but..." Char considered the Slytherin's point, and figured it was a good one. "We'd have to find a new location for every meeting, then." He paused, thinking over the layout of the castle. "It wouldn't be hard, if we could get everyone to know where the next meeting is in secret." That seemed a bit impossible, but they'd find a way sooner or later.
Then, smirking a bit, his eyes on the peculiar girl in the middle of the room, Char added, "I think we should start an anonymous anti-ministry paper. Enlighten people on what the Ministry is really like, and fight their propaganda with our own."
