Messages had been posted on the notice boards in all the common rooms, notes passed around in lessons and whispers spread during meal times. The students where going to make a stand! The foundations had already been put in place, a few terms ago a student group called the guild had been formed their main aim was the cause trouble. However this time it would be different, this time it was to fight! Mysterious things have been happening in Hogwarts the presence of the ministry only increased these theories, the deaths of many people in the forest at the hands of rouge wizards and organisations only made the plot thicker.
Girty Hubbles had taken over the mantel of organising everything after he friend and founder of The Guild Boggleworth had left the school. At first she thought of letting it pass out of memory but then after the death of Thom Moen she knew she had to do something. So now she sat it a rather small room just off the third floor corridor behind a tapestry. Candles were flickering around the room highlighting the old chairs and desks that were scattered around the dust covered floor. All she could do was hope that other people felt like she did and wanted to make a stand and fight for what they believed in.

For a long while now Vicky had been unsure about joining this radical school group, events had slowly declined with very disturbing goings on being heard of, quite which were rumours and which actual truth was impossible for Vicky to tell, as she, thankfully, hadn't been immersed in them herself.
Now she was certain though, even though she wouldn't be so extreme and enthusiastic as some perhaps, she would still give it her all, besides it was something fun to do, dangerous and exciting, what more could you ask for? Maybe even meeting a nice guy there could even happen? She could dream couldn't she?
So she had signed her name, written away her very life perhaps, now she was set on this path she knew she'd do all she could to help, so her own enthusiasm had increased dramatically, to a nervous excitement as she waited for the first proper meeting to begin. Receiving her orders Vicky tried to slip unseen out of the Ravenclaw common room, only many guys seemed to follow thankfully only with their eyes as she left. So much for quietly gliding away.
Making her way serenely down to the tapestry that hid the darkened room in which their meeting would be held, she looked from left to right, checking nobody was in sight. Sweeping aside the tapestry Vicky went right on in with a forced grin as she expected the room to be full. Only it wasn't yet, feeling happier she genuinely smiled at the infamous Girty Hubbles, so this was their leader eh? Even if others wanted to supplant her Vicky had already decided that Girty was the only one for the job; based upon rumours only and the good ever truthful word of Heidi.
"Hiya Girty, I'm Vicky, we've probably seen each other in lessons, but not to talk to properly, so how're you doing? Been busy organising this?" She asked her natural curiousity taking over as she smiled and the dozens of candles that lit not only the room, but also her own ethereal features. "You've managed to scrub this place up pretty well I must say." She added randomly in the usual way she did when making a new aquaintance.

Girty heard the sound of the tapestry move aside, the fade glint of the corridor light pouring down the small passageway before it led to the room, and then the first recruit arrived. With scrutineering eyes Girty looked her over a dew times, trying to work out what she would be good at, her strength, her weakness and more importantly if she had the personality. A vague recollection of the girl’s face formed a slight connection as she mentioned her name, but it seemed to Girty that she clearly had paid very little attention to her in lessons and in the corridors. She did seem pleasant enough, keen to converse and stop the silence and for that Girty could not blame her. With a small smile Girty decided to answer her rather pointless questions in an equally friendly tone, trying to ignore the nervous that were building up in her stomach hoping that other people where going to show up.
“ Hello Vicky. Thanks for stopping by, it was getting rather lonely to be honest. I have been in here for hours just panicking over the smallest of things.”
Even as she said that Girty noticed part of the flagstone floor sticking up into the air and she quickly ran over to it, throwing herself down onto her knees trying to fit it together like a jigsaw puzzle. With a final prod with her wand Girty Stood back up and brushed the dirt off her knees.

Even though excitement coursed through her veins, the feeling was mild enough to disguise behind a calm face. Erys had been involved from the near start, joining in right after Girty had organised it to head the Slytherin division. Quickly after, Joshua became her second in command- it was pleasing to know one of your best friends was in a position of power. Everyone seemed to be at an equal rank, despite the titles, and it bothered her only on a minimal level. Whats the point of coming up with names just to say it was a consensus guild?
Erys hadn't been sure if any adults were supposed to find out the Guild's location, so before stepping out of the Slytherin common room she changed smoothly into her cover; a bengal cat, her animal form. The seventh year also heard rumors that a ministry official had posted an animagus class sign-up somewhere, and that many people were supposedly applying. She thought there was already a tutor for that at Hogwarts, but maybe she was wrong. Or he was replaced, whatever. Slinking throughout the halls up to the staircases, she boarded one, waiting patiently for it to take her where she wanted. Once up on the third floor, the feline glanced suspiciously around it before approaching the tapestry. Either lifting it up with her nose or hopping through (I wasn't sure if the tapestry was long enough to touch the floor, or was a bit higher than that) Erys peered around the room, noticing at once its small size. Mrowing, slightly amused, the brife sound turned into a more human-like laughter as the cat changed back into a beautiful girl.
"Girty. Vicky." Erys greeted in a nod, the hello session short but to the point. Stretching, she yawned softly, licking her lips. Waiting for the rest of the bunch to come.

Since joining her houses Quidditch team Alexis hadn't done anything, well anything interesting. One day while coming back from the library she had heard some kids talking not one who usually eavesdropped she tried to make like she didn't hear them as they sat there on the floor talking rather loudly. They seemed to be speaking of some kind of underground student organization. Alexis looked back and allowed her curiosity to take over. Walking over to them she questioned them about their conversation. It was great because they weren't upset about her overhearing them and they actually asked her to join as they filled her in. The talk had done her a world of good and she knew now that this was just what she wanted to do.
As much as she loved her school, she knew that there were things going on that were endangering them all. She was hoping that this organization was going to help even in the slightest way.
Moving slowly around the school she followed the directions she had been given and soon the tapestry that was mentioned came into view. Taking a steadying breath, she moved and pulled it back entering and she immediately saw that there were others already there. Smiling at everyone of them even Erys then she figured she'd just make her introductions now, 'Hi everyone I'm Alexis, and I'm glad to be here,' she added for good measure.

Jerred had seen the notes stamped on the walls, the notes handed about in lessons and the rumours muttered away from the professors and Ministry officials. He knew that this group would cause trouble, much more trouble than he could ever do, so why not see what it was about?
Jerred knew of the location of the tapesttry that the note mentioned and smiled, finding it quickly and entering behind the hidden flap. He stepped into the small room and looked about, his eyebrow raising slightly.
'Is this it?' He said under his breath, shaking his head slightly. 'I heard this was the place to cause trouble. I can't make enough of my own on my own nowadays, so regardless of what happens, I'm in.'
Jerred smiled and bowed, his face showing he meant what he had said. He moved from the entrance to the side wall and leant against it, the cold barely there anymore.
'I'm Jerred.' He said, noticing a few girls who he hadn't spoken to before, though may have annoyed before. 'Hey Girty, you incharge? Hello, Erys, any other Slytherins coming?'

Quickly and quietly Echo crept through the halls of Hogwarts, unsure entirely if they were a known or unknown organization to the adult staff around the school. Either way, there were certainly the unsavory adults who lurked around the halls who she would not want to be caught by even if the Guild was a perfectly legitimate place to be. That frightening Miss Hundar being one of them...
She sped down stairs and through passage ways until she reached the third floor corridor Now what? she mused to herself before seeing an unusually large tapestry, with a corner tucked into the door frame of the meeting place Like something crawled through and forgot to cover their tracks. She shrugged before quickly stepping inside the, shockingly, tiny room. There was already a good handful of students there; Girty, whose brother was a professor if she wasn't mistaken, Vicky and Erys, who she'd had the pleasure of meeting in the library a few nights ago, and a Ravenclaw and a Slytherin whose acquaintances she had not yet made.
"Hello, everyone" she greeted cheerily, stepping further into the snug meeting place. She sat down on one of the sturdier looking desks and pulled both of her feet up, lotus-style. "I'm Echo," she introduced herself to the few who she wasn't familiar with. "So what's this whole gambol about exactly?" she queried, quite intrigued by all the rumours and and gossip she'd heard around school.

Returning the smile - a little tighter on her part, but still polite - to Alexis, she wondered why everyone was introducing themselves when they should know each other's names by now. Or perhaps it was only her who took note of the other student's names and remembered them. Staring at the entrance while expecting Jerred to enter before he even made it through, Erys waited, smiling as he arrived. "Hey Jerred. Yeah, Joshua is coming, as well as Angelique and Vanessa." She replied casually, stretching once again. Nodding to Echo as she introduced herself, the Slytherin decided to leave the explaining to Girty, who was more knowledgable on the subject. And she didn't really feel like answering anyway.
Wishing everyone would walk a little faster than the speed of a turtle, Erys leaned her head towards the ceiling, tasting the air for any fresh scents coming their way. None, so far. Where were the other Slytherins? They had better show. She really shouldn't be this paranoid, the meeting hadn't even started yet and it was pretty early still.

A silence soon feel over the two people in the room, clicking her tongue and shuffling her feet Girty was pleased to see another person enter. Well at first they were not a person but they soon were. With a raised eyebrow Girty studied the Slytherin half impressed with the fact she was an Animagus the other half of her groaning that someone would have to enter the room in a way to get everyone’s attention. With a small smile Girty greeted her back before turning her back and heading back to the main desk and stared to scribble the names down of the arrivals down. She had only just finished writing down the other two names when another Ravenclaw turned up who at first seemed to trying to restrain a lot of nerves but it seemed to pass as soon as she got the introductions out of the way. Smiling at her Girty the tapestry slipped open yet again as Jerred Boneman strutted in.
“Afternoon Jerred it is nice for you to drop by.”
Even a the mere mention of being ‘in charge’ a nerviest little grin spread across her face. I suppose organising everything and taking over form Bog did mean she was, it meant she had responsibility. A small sense of pride filled her and she could not help but let her smile grow even wider as she moved over and wrote done the extra name on the list. Glancing up Girty saw that yet another person had arrived and final it was the first Gryffindor. With every house now being represented by someone Girty was able to slowly feel at ease and with that she thought she would answer the question about this was all about.
“I do not know really where to start, but The Guild was set up many years ago by my good friend and it was initially designed for fun, I remember one time we went to a Quidditch match and caused so much trouble….” Girty broke off and gave a nervous glance around the room knowing that she should actually get back on track. “But it has been inactive for a while and well…. non of you guys could have failed to notice the presence of the Ministry in the school, the amount of people who have been killed on school grounds and no one seems to be doing anything about it so I thought it was about time we did. It is as much our school as theirs, heck we are the people who live here for half of the year. So if you guys are up for it I say we cause as much trouble as possible and try and work out why the hell they are so interested in Hogwarts.”
Girty stood looking at those who were present waiting anxiously for anyone of them to answer. The problem for Girty was she had a problem of articulating her thoughts without getting to passionate about it all, she had her own motive to this whole thing. She wanted to find the man who had killed Thom and make them pay, she would do what ever it took to do it but the one thing was she knew she could not do it alone and because of this was dragging everyone along for the ride, but she liked to think that in the process they would be doing some good.

'Sounds like a plan.' Effie entered the room with an approving smirk on her face. She glanced around at the other occupants, giving them all a nod and feeling particularly pleased that several others from her house had dared to join. 'Quadwizard Champ behind the illegal student group?...Nice.' Nothing had been said about the group being illegal, but Effie figured if Deitrich ever found out about it, she wasn't going to exactly skip around in joy.
Effie had got word of The Guild through a note being passed around History of Magic. It hadn't revealed what you would be expected to do, it hadn't revealed who the person in charge was.. it only asked if you were fed up with how things were and were prepared to do something about it, which Effie sure as hell was.
'So hows this thing gonna work?' She continued talking to Girty, moving herself to stand amongst the others. 'I mean, do you have any ideas as to where to start?' She certainly wasn't saying it because she doubted Girty, in fact she now felt admiration for other girls courage. Effie just wasn't the sort of person who liked to wait around.

The silence was finally broken by a new arrival, yet again a Ravenclaw and straight away they had picked up on the thing that Girty hated hearing. By doing this she was putting her own position as Quadwizard champion in danger and in the process her brothers pride and high expectations of her. All though not one to show this weakness Girt just laughed softly at what Effie has said, being unable to deny what was the truth. If they were found out by anybody from the Ministry they would all be punished.
Watching the Ravenclaw as she moved into the centre of the group Girty tried to think of how to respond to her question. The main problem was that she herself did not know the full answer. She had been so determined to find people to help her out she had not really thought of where they would be going from there. Rubbing her nose nervously it was time for her to do some quick thinking.
“Well I know a that two members of the Ministry are staying in the Three Broomsticks in room 4. They are both relatively weak but have connections to the famous Quinn Locksley. She seems to be the only ministry official doing something so we need to keep a close eye on her. Also I believe there is also a ministry person teaching in school now, so her classes will be fun.”
A small evil glare passed over Girty’s face as she thought about the trouble they could get up into their lesson. Chase them out of the school before Christmas would be a realistic aim, that is if they were an easy target otherwise they may have harder task on their hands then Girty first thought. Zoning back into the room and looking at her peers in front of her Girty shrugged her shoulders.
“That is just my idea. If you guys have any ideas or information fire away, I bet they will be better then mine.”

Echo beamed at the idea of causing grief for the Ministry. They had plagued her family long enough, and they had no right to invade her school! It was high time those power-hungry priggish politicians take back some of what they were dishing out. Action was required, and action she could offer.
She listened intently to what Girty said about the Ministry officials they knew of and where they were stationed It's like a dance... she thought with some amusement. Knowing where everyone was on a dancefloor was key to make sure no one was tripped or got hurt accidentally. The difference here was, the Guild wanted to know where everyone was so that they'd know exactly where to aim the Wet Start Fireworks. Brilliant.
Locksley? Where had she heard that name before? Locksley... Locksley... the name rolled around in her head like a ball in a rolling maze, searching for the hole where it clicked... The bounty hunter! she thought, suddenly a bit more wary of this expedition. She knew a very little bit about Quinn Locksley, but what she did know frightened her something terrible... If anyone ever decided her parents truly needed to be found out, she knew it would be Quinn who would be put on the case... and then her family would have no chance...
A chill ran down her spine; Echo knew from experience that the Ministry, as foolhardy and brash as they were, was still a force to be reckoned with--even if it was for no better reason than they had the advantage of first-hand experience and sheer volume compared to this little gaggle of students. "We're going to need a lot more people, and a whole lot better skills than any of us already have." True, these people obviously had guts for being here, but bravery was nothing without know-how to back it up. She could admit to neglecting her lessons over the past few months; she had felt rather despairing towards the fact that at any moment one of her professors might be fired for improper conduct towards a Ministry worker. No more of that silliness though. "Maybe some of us should break up into small study groups of sorts, to help us practice new spells and develop techniques that might come in handy?" It was time to take a stand for Hogwarts! And a stand for her family.

Jerred hard Girty's words and smiled at her when she responded to him. He nodded at Erys who had replied to him as well, remembering names but no faces came to those names for him. He shook his head slightly and crossed his arms.
He listened in on what Girty was saying, explaining what the Guild had done, would do and strike at the Ministry. What Girty explained however, had little to do with what the Ministry was doing in the school at the time and Jerred leant his head against the wall and snuffed a laugh.
He then heard the Gryffindor girls words and he shook his head, sighing.
'We can't break up into study groups. Too suspicious.' Jerred said, looking at all the girls before him. He suddenly realised that's all there was in the room, besides himself. A slight warmth came to his cheeks. 'The House rivalries must be intact if we're going to keep this secret. I'm a Slytherin, as is Erys, how can we be seen "studying" with Hufflepuffs? How can we be seen eating lunch with Ravenclaws? How can we be seen practising dueling with Gryffindors? We must keep the House rivalry there so we can meet up in secret to keep the Guild, or whatever name we decide upon now, together.'
Jerred looked at the girls faces and smiled, unflinchingly. 'The Ministry has cracked down on student groups, if you haven't noticed. Any group that has several members has been disbanded recently. The paranoia is there for the Ministry, but if they begin seeing any one of us hanging out with a person from another House or some other person that they know we hang out with, they'll follow us and find out about this.' He explained further, his eyes darkening slightly.
'I'm all for disrupting the Ministry, but we must only meet up in secret, not out in the corridors or the library. The House rivalry must remain out there, in here we can let it go.'
Jerred breathed out slowly and relaxed, closing his eyes before he heard the tirade from the girls in the room.

Angel knew that Erys would kick her rear if she didn't show up to this meeting. It had been the buzz all around school for so long and for some reason Angel had liked the idea and agreed to join.
Only problem was that she'd almost forgotten they were getting together that night, she had been in the library actually trying to study N.E.W.T.S. were coming up and she needed to get cracking. Her parents would disown her if she didn't do well, they were already disappointed in her grades from last term.
Luckily, she had heard someone mention the time and when she inspected she realized that she was late. She gathered up her books throwing them in her bag. The librarian was staring at her as she dashed out of the door her sneakers squeaking on the floor every time her foot touched down.
It took no time at all for her to reach the corridor down which the tapestry was housed. Running the rest of the way to it, she pulled it back and slipped in. The room was pretty full already, she nodded to everyone there and made her way to Erys at once. She also noticed Jerred was there and she smiled at him.

Effie listened as a few suggestions began to be put forward and views were exchanged. A younger Gryffindor girl, whos name Effie couldn't place, came up with the idea of study groups which was soon dismissed by Jerred, a fellow sixth year and what some may call, the typical Slytherin.
'She's still right Boneman.' Effie cut in. 'If we're going to be serious about this, we're gonna get no where purely on the Hogwarts syllabus. Theres sure to be a load of specialised spells that we can learn. I don't mind heading some research... no one is going to question a Ravenclaw in the library are they.' She smirked, directing the last part at Jerred, who was sure to uphold house stereotypes.
'How the hell we're going to keep this thing secret is where we're really screwed-' She continued, picking up on the good points the Slytherin had made. 'I can only really see two options, either we find one very secure place where we can always meet or keep changing locations. The first option would be ideal-' She bit her lip slightly as she often did when troubled or lacking a solution. '-but I'm stumped.'
