After a full week of non-stop action lessons at school, Lexie was glad it was finally Saturday. The weather had been wild this week, changing from boiling hot to pouring with rain with not a ray of sunshine in sight, all within a matter of seconds, and students had been acting a little crazy. Either because it was the weather or an upcoming special event in which Lexie also loved. It was nearing April fools day, and Lexie loved to play pranks, especially since her brother had now come to Hogwarts. No doubt they would end up having a prank war and causing mayhem for themselves. Her brother was sure to have something planned to annoy her, and so she had to think of something extra cool to prank him with.
A grin plastered across her face that was unmovable, all the prank ideas ran through her head as she treaded the path into Hogsmeade. Of course, there was no better place to go than to Zonko's joke shop to get supplies for the big day. Giggling to herself about a rather lame prank of a bucket of water on top of the door that she could pull on Brandon, she reached the main street of Hogsmeade. She was glad she had saved up some money to be able to afford the supplies because for the prank she wanted, she wanted it big, boisterous and it would be expensive.
As she walked on the common cobbled streets she had become to accustomed to, she walked down the high street slowly, looking at the other shops windows as she went. Walking past Queens apparel, she stopped and walked backwards to look at a cute hoodie that would be perfect for her in the window. Getting inwardly excited she marches right in, pushing open the door and hearing the bell tinkle above her. Seeing Jennifer, the owner, who she regularly came to see, she greeted her with a big grin. “Jen, you know you should owl me when you make something perfect for me” she joked, before unzipping the hoodie from the dummy in the window and trying it on. A snug fit, the hoodie was black with little pictures of little cute robots with pink hearts on their chests. “It only went on this morning Lexie, you must have a new clothing radar on you” Jen laughed. As Lexie pulled off the hoodie, she handed it to Jennifer who put it in a bag as Lexie paid her for it. “How are things with Russ?” “Good, very good infact” Jen grinned “As long as he’s still making you happy, or i’ll have to kick his butt” “See you later Jen” Lexie waved as she walked out of the door. As she turned around after closing the door, she almost bumped into someone and jumped slightly. “Bloomin’ hell. Bex, you scared me half to death!”

It had been a rather uneventful week all around, though Bex wasnt really that troubled by it, she had spent the whole week being the bookworm she was known to be. Usually that was all people saw of her, Bex the Bookworm of Ravenclaw, but she didnt mind, she knew there was more to her than just books and lessons, and the people who knew her knew that aswell. Charms, Ancient Runes and Divination were among Beckii's favourite lessons, the ones you really had to think about. She was amazed how some people who never went to class managed to pass the year, still she figured they must have really big brains, either that or a cusion for a backside when they landed flat on their bums and had to start all over again.
She had spent most of the morning in the library, shock horror. There really hadnt been much else to do, Bex didnt really have any close friends so she rarely left the library, or her second home whichever. Though she was bubbly and biosterous, not many people wanted to be near her in case her 'weirdness' infected them or whatever. Though in all honesty, a bit of peace and quiet never killed anyone, made for a dull life sure, but it didnt kill you. Bex made up for it quite happily over the summer when she would mess around with her brothers and her sister, doing whatever it was they usually did.
April 1st. Day for Jokes.
Bex loved this Holiday, almost as much as she loved Christmas and New Year. You could do anything and get away with it. Though Bex didnt want to play jokes alone, she saw it as pointless if someone wasnt there to get your joke with you, what was the point? Walking down the cobbled street, her bangles on her arm clinking together and her hair rustling slightly in the breeze, the little spider clip was stupidly lifelike and she got stopped a good few times to 'see if she knew she had a spider in her hair'. Idiots.
Walking past a few shops, she stopped to look in the window of a nearby Quidditch Shop. The book in the window was, 101 ways to give care to your broom. Not that she needed to know, she didnt have a broom. Bex was scared of flying so you wouldnt catch her up in the air, not even on a plane. Carrying on walking, nearing the Shop Queens Apparell, Bex wondered if she should get new clothes. Not that she needed any, in fact she would probably be yelled at off her mother if she bought any more clothes, her wardrobe at home was practically bursting.
"Lex!" Beckii spoke in a surprised manner, that would teach her to not concentrate on where she was walking. "Likewise!" Bex smiled as she looked at the clearly new jacket on the other girl. "Been spending again I see."

Lex liked Bex. Probably because they were so alike, with style and everything. Both Ravenclaw’s too, and both liked having a laugh. Lexie however was more known than Beckii, because she preferred to go to the library more than anything else, whereas Lexie had a perfect balance of studying and social life. Sometimes her social life got more attention than her books, but that was just how Lexie was. She studied harder in the subjects she liked most, in which most people didn’t class as their favourites. Potions was her favourite, but Care of Magical Creatures and Transfiguration were joint second. Maybe it was because potions could be considered dangerous and complex is why Lexie enjoyed it most, although she also liked the daring of Professor Vance. It was strange, most people hated him and avoided him at all costs, but Lexie liked him. Not in that way of course, but she thought him an interesting character indeed, and his anger just made her want to tease him more. Although he couldn’t hate her that much, she was one of his best students in the fifth year because she did knuckle down and get things done. Care of Magical creatures was fun, but only when the animal was considered dangerous. Lexie got a thrill from danger, an adrenaline rush. She was sure she’d die young and stay pretty due to some stupid prank or some dangerous stunt she would pull in the near future. To be truthful, that’s how she wanted to die, not old and wrinkly, and staying safe. To her, that wasn’t living.
Clutching her heart, she felt that familiar rush pump through her. A little scare was good every now and again, and with the amount of work she had been doing at the minute, she hadn’t had time to do something daring for weeks. Giving a small, breathless laugh she looked back at Bex. “Jesus” She said after a moment.
As Bex noticed Lex’s new hoodie, she grinned once again. Typical girl when it came to shopping, and it was often the girls would go shopping together, especially for clothes and accessories. Bex was more one for having hair accessories where Lex liked Necklaces mainly and bracelets. Bex suited hair accessories more than Lexie did, and Lexie’s hair was too long to fuss about with them anyway, they just got in the way. Both girls took pride in their appearance, but it came easier to Bex than Lex. She always thought Bex could just wakeup and look stunning whereas Lex would wake up with serious bedhead and her makeup still on from the night before, and in the morning all smudged to make her look like the Joker from a Muggle superhero called Batman. Still, Bex probably thought she looked just as bad as Lexie did. Typical girlish behaviour.
“When I woke up, you were gone, and when I went down to breakfast you weren’t there, so I’m guessing the library?” she said with a smile and raised eyebrows. There was no need to question it, she knew Beckii pretty much lived there, so it was pretty stupid even asking. “On second thoughts, don’t answer that, I already know!” she laughed.
“Have you thought of any good pranks we can play on Brandon yet? I’m pretty stumped. It’s going to be hard to beat last year’s prank on Offley” she giggled girlishly. Lexie ruffled her blonde hair slightly at the back as the shop bag swung from her arm. As she looked down briefly her zebra print pumps were looking rather grubby. Her dark grey skinny jeans clung tightly to her legs and her thin waist. She was naturally slim, and her metabolism rate was insanely fast. She was one of the real lucky ones who never had to work out or worry about calorie intake, for that she was thankful. She could eat anything and everything, and especially at Christmas, she got her brother’s share of his turkey because he was a vegetarian. She was always hungry, but it was a mystery as to where she stored her food.

Bex liked Lex too. They got along even though they did have a sort of opposite personality in many ways. Though in a lot, they were the same too. Two peas in a pod sort of thing. They were both known for different things, Bex wasnt as studious as she used to be but she preffered to get things done, rather than leave them to the last minute and since finals were coming up soon she figured she best start studying now, unlike those who left it until a week before and had to worry-study as Beckii called it, and forget half the things anyway. Bex was a muggle born, a Ravenclaw and weird, so she was a natural target of the Slytherins. Over the years she had gotten used to their taunts, at first they had hurt a lot, now she shrugged off the yells of "Mudblood" and other such names, usually retorting with something like, "Mudblood and proud". Beckii wouldnt lie, she was proud of where she came from. Her parents were well off for their work. Her dad was soon to become a Surgeon after years of working towards it so Bex got pretty much what she wanted. Born with a Silver Spoon in her mouth, so to speak. Always getting the latest hair accessory or jewellerry. Bex's hair was the most important thing to her, and if it wasnt Bex-erfect then she wouldnt leave the dormatory. Simple as that.
"No" Beckii smiled, pointing to herself, "Beckii" Then to the sky, "Jesus lives up there. Or so I'm told." Beckii looked at the jacket Lex was wearing, she didnt much like robots and she doubted that it would suit her, but it definatly suited Lexie. Bex was more of a white girl. She wanted a jacket from BleedingStar, though her mother had refused to let her have it, stating she had enough Jackets already. Bex accepted it since she knew her mother was right.
Bex ran a hand through her hair, she had come looking for more extentions, preferabbly pink and blonde ones since hers were now on their last legs. Bex loved her hair accessories, no matter what they were, if she didnt have a single thing in her hair then something was wrong. Bex was known for her long fake eyelashes, her skin seemed to be flawless, which was good, if she even got one spot then she would go ape and hide under her bedcloths until it had gone, and her hair accessories. The little Emo Girl was known simply as that, Emo girl or girl with the pretty face. Part of her hated this reputation, but she had brought it on herself. Bex had been doing hair and makeup so long, she didnt need any help from a hair dresser or makeup artist, she did it all herself. Bex woke up in the morning, her make up slightly more smeared then it should be but other than that, it was alright. Though she would still say she looked like a clown.
"I was going to say did you even need to ask?" Bex laughed and shook her head, "I had to re-write a passage on my Runes essay I realised I had gotten completley wrong. Fehu doesnt mean pysical strength and speed, thats Uruz, I got the two of them the complete wrong way around so I had to do it again. Took me most of the morning but I managed to get them down alright in the end, it wasnt that much of a big deal"
"I did, actually" Bex smiled as she linked her arm with Lex. "This is, assuming we can get everything we need. You will thank me for being so studious, and since your the potion expert I think it will work quite well." The two girls walked down the cobbled street of Hogsmeade as Bex began to recount on what she had read earlier that morning. "I was reading that mixing Mandrake Root, Asphault and Ginger Extract together becomes a high aphrodesiac for any kind of Magical Creature." Beckii smiled, "So, if we can get those ingrediants, some Pellets from Zonkos which will puff out the smell of it. We can make some of them, put the pellets into Brad's drawer so the smell gets on his clothes. Any kind of creature who smells him will chase him around until the smell vanishes. Its practically unsmellable to us humans though and doesnt affect us, but it could warrent us a laugh watching him run away from all kinds of creatures who become a little excited around him."
