Personality: Hikaru is the kind of person that people just can't help but admire. He is friendly, charming, loves to make people laugh. Is honest, trustworthy and has a love for life. You will never find him frowning, but always smiling, never gloomy, but always happy. He is not one to distance himself from people but instead reaches out to everyone. His warm, generous, carefree nature however, has made some students think that he is a pushover and that he will not do anything to them. That however, is not true. Hikaru knows that as a teacher, it will be his job to keep students in line, and even with his gentle nature, he will not hesitate to punish a misbehaving youngster!
Likes: Friends, kids, teaching, flying, reading, drawing, learning new things, riding horses, and debating things
Dislikes: Loud people, drinking, arrogance, foolishness, people getting in his face, fighting, and being cold
Does Not Tolerate: Disrespect, bullying, cheating, stealing, and lying.

History: Hikaru, also known as Hi, was born in Tokyo, Japan. His parents died when he was about nine, and he was raised by his grandparents on his mother's side. His parents death came as a shock to young Hi, as he was very close to them. Especially his father, Isamu had always been Hikaru's protector and mentor. How would Hikaru ever survive without him? But, he did. His parents death taught him something. You only get one life, and that one life is so short, that if you do not live each day like it is your last, then you have not truly lived. His paents had taught him that all living things deserve respect and care, and Hikaru has done his best to honor his parents teachings.
Hikaru attended a private wizarding school in Kobe, Japan where he excelled in Occlumency, Charms, Flying, DADA, and Potions. Hi was captain of his house quidditch team, Green Dragons for three years straight. Fifth year, sixth, and seventh. When Hi was eighteen, he set off to see the world. Surprisingly, the young wizard had never set foot out of Japan, and as much as he loved his country, he wanted to explore other places. And so, it was with his grandparents love and blessings that he set off on his journey.
His adventures took him all around the globe including France, Spain, Greece, Italy, Russia, even the United States. His travels brought him much wisdom, friendships, understanding, and an appreciation for what he had. He had not realised until then, how lucky he really was. He may have lived in modest home, but to someone living in the slums of Africa or India, or any country really, his house would've been like a palace! And Hikaru was grateful for the roof over his head.
Finally, at the age of twenty-two, his travels brought him to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He had heard, that an Occlumency teacher was needed, and having been a superb student in the subject himself, decided to give it a go. Sadly, not even halfway through his first year, he recieved a distress call from back home. His beloved grandmother was dying. And so, Hikaru left a note upon his desk explaining what had happened, and left to go back to Tokyo to be with his grandmother until her last days. His grandmother passed on July 23. And although he wanted so much to see Hogwarts again, he believed it was his duty to stay home and care for his grandfather. But grandfather would have none of that. "Hikaru, my boy." he said, "You know as well as I, that your heart lies with Hogwarts. Go back, and teach. You have my blessing." And so, Hikaru is back, and has now applied for position of Flying teacher.
