Name: Shayla Kane

Job Title: Ministry, Auror
Age: 24 (Born March 15th)
Blood: Muggle Born

Personality: Shay was and still is a bookworm plain and simple. Give her something to read anything at all and she'll read it. Most of the time if you can't find her she's somewhere in a corner wrapped up in a book. She's extremely intelligent, when she was at school she spent more time studying than anyone else.
She is also a very passionate, if there's something worth standing up for she will it also extends to her family and friends as well. She would do anything for them to protect them and be there for them when they needed her.
She's a great listener and knows how to make people feel comfortable. She's one to shell out advice if she feels that it's warranted. She's an easy person to be around which always allowed for her to make friends where some others might have difficulty.
She tends to be a bit shy, not one to argue with others she will tell you what's on her mind if it's warranted but she'll do it in a very demure way. She tries not to yell doesn't even remember the last time she ever did. Sometimes she's a bit too nice and it causes people to think that she is easily walked on but she can stand up for herself. She may seem like she needs someone to take care of but she's very independent.

History: Born as a muggle March 15th Shayla never knew anything about magic or the fact that there was a whole other world out there. For ten years she attended school with muggle children like herself and got along fairly well. She hadn't ever displayed any signs of being different. Then on her 11th birthday something happened to change her life forever.
A knock on her parents door would reveal a very oddly dressed man who asked to speak to the young mistress of the house Shayla. Her parents wondering what this man could possibly want with their daughter let him in. They sat him in the sitting room where he launched into some unbelievable tale of magic school and witches and wizards. When he was done the Kane's looked at him as if her were mentally ill her father even getting up to escort the man to the door. He wouldn't budge saying that he could prove it. Looking at Shay with unblinking eyes he produced a slug from somewhere in his pocket and he told Shay to focus on making it bigger told her to think about nothing but the slug and it swelling in size. Figuring she's do it just to get rid of him she did what he said, after about five minutes of trying it seemed hopeless. She started to get angry at herself for even believing such foolishness, but next thing she knew the slug was getting bigger and bigger until it exploded all over the man's jacket. Shay thought he'd be mad but he wasn't he waved a big stick at the mess she made and it just vanished. The whole room stood silent for several tense moments before the man spoke again telling her she'd been accepted into a magic school and that classes would be starting in September. The family more willing to believe him now took all the information he had with him. A few months later they were buying her books and after that she was off to her new school.
Her first passion at Hogwarts became transfiguration she took to it immediately the whole idea of changing something into something else was remarkable. She studied it harder than anyone else and excelled at it. She was a pretty good student her whole seven years. She wasn't much of a social butterfly she preferred studying to hanging out. She really didn't date much though she had many boys interested in her. School for her was a time to learn even though socializing was a part of it.
After leaving she went back into the muggle world went back to school (her parents pulled strings) and after earning her degree went into teaching high school. Despite the fact that she loved her kids and they loved her she was never happy there. She longed to be back in the magical world once again working for the ministry. She always wanted to work in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Their jobs seemed so interesting so she returned and went to training once again excelling become top of her class. She always knew they served an important function in the magical world and she wanted to be apart of that.
