"Oh, Of course." Jeremy said. One look at her and you could guess what her favorite subject was. The girl was a Dark Art. Gosh. Jeremy thought, and thats all he thought.
"Something like that." Jeremy said, doubting that the kids name was actually Lion. Jeremy now regretted getting flustered by the amount of estrogen while talking to what his name. He should have been in the moment and gone and hexed him. Then again, perhaps that was what separated Jeremy the Ravenclaw from Jeremy the Slytherin, the later didn't exist. "Eh, Next time he mutters a soft word to me ." Jeremy said, hoping he would be able to redeem himself. Next to Erys he felt like he had to do something bad ass or be banished from the table.
"Oh, I'm always in the way." Jeremy remarked, just realizing that Alessa was still at the table. He felt bad that he was ignoring her, but only for a split second. "Yeah, you are." Jeremy said off hand, not realizing he had spoken out loud. "I..uhh...heh." He said, smiling at the Hufflepuff. He hadn't meant to sound so mean. But then again, maybe he did, with Erys sitting next to him.

Erys arched an eyebrow, cautiously accepting the frog as if it were made of acid. Breaking off half - as she had eaten half of Jeremy's - she passed it to him, figuring they were even now. Popping the rest into her mouth, the Slytherin slowly licked chocolate from her lips, "S'alright." It was nothing new, nothing to get worked up over. If the Claw was truly in the way, as Alessa said he was, then she had nothing to worry about. It did sound like an excuse, but she wasn't in the mood to start a confrontation. Or, she was, only it'd have to be a challenge, instead of an easy win.
Turning her head slightly as Jeremy spoke, she watched him through long, dark lashed, wondering if he was adding this as a way of making her think he wasn't cowardly. Seeking redemption, are we? You wont have to look far, she was feeling generous today. "Oh I dont doubt that you'll teach him a lesson." Erys replied with a wink, knowing it was something she'd love to see. Testosterone-drunk males battling it out because of a few bad words. Now that was entertainment!
Parting her full lips to say something about Alessa and her clumsy-ness, she stopped short, shocked to find that Jeremy had said it for her. That insult had come from his mouth? Impressive. Vivid green eyes wide, the Slytherin flashed him an appraising look, eyes quickly sliding over to the Hufflepuff to see how she'd react.

(Is it alright if I join?)
With a loud thunk! Helena put down her oddball pile of books on the table. Putting aside "I Am America (And So Can You!)" (staring at Stephen Colbert's gravitas-ful face with reluctance) and two textbooks, Helena started reading from a tattered book that seemed to be whispering. Helena paid no attention, and started taking notes. She was near the middle of the large book filled with thick, yellowing pages.

Alessa just looked at the Ravenclaw, who, maybe unwillingly, snapped at her. She frowned and looked down. She thought for a moment, and realised she didn't have to take that from anyone. She stood up, cradled her things in her arms, and stormed out of the library.

Helena then noticed Alessa for the first time and almost followed her, but stopped. She looked at the other two. "What's wrong? Did something happen to her?" Helena frowned and bit her lower lip. "I'll be right back," she said to anyone who was listening and ran after Alessa.

Alessa had just stormed out and was headed down the library stairs. Why was a Ravenclaw being so mean? Surely it was just Slytherins. She got angry at herself for thinking she could have a decent conversation with the pair. He was probably just showing off infront of Erys. Alessa lost trust in the Ravenclaw. They were meant to me smart, and smart to her was not being a sheep. He should know better than to be like that. Alessa heard a voice shouting her, it was Helena. Where did she come from? She was coming from the direction of the library, she must have just blanked her by accident as she exited the library in a fit of rage and upset.

Helena caught her breath, as she finally reached Alessa. “What happened?” Helena looked at Alessa. “People are just plain nasty sometimes, aren't they?” Helena paused and gently shook her bangs out of her face. “Do you want to talk? Are you ready to go back?”

Erys watched, amused, as Alessa stormed out of the library. And then the other girl whom had promptly sat down got up and bolted after her. How entertaining! "Nice one." Flicking her eyes over him quickly, she focused her attention on the entrance, knowing full well they'd probably be back. Either to make nice, shut up, or yell. If that was the case, then bring it on.
It did seem like he was showing off in front of her, didn't it? Not like she minded. In fact, she was enjoying it immensely. He should've been in Slytherin, really. It was such a waste to place him in Ravenclaw. All that potential.. Down the drain. Angling her right ear towards the doors, she used her cat senses to catch bits and pieces of the conversation. At the moment, all she could sense were angry thoughts seeping from Alessa and soothing words from the other chick. Hm.
"I think you hurt her feelings." Erys laughed, picking up the book that the other Hufflepuff abandoned while running after her house mate. Flipping through it dully, the Slytherin tossed it aside, satisfied with the loud thunk it made after landing hard on the tabletop.

Jeremy wanted to put his hand on Alessa's shoulder and tell her it was a slip up, but he caught eyes with Erys. She looked so, surprised that something like that had come out of Jeremy's mouth. Honestly, he was surprised, but something inside of him felt that he shouldn't apologize, something felt, proud.
However, that was not the way Jeremy was. He was the likable guy. Everyone wanted to be friends with Jeremy. However, it seemed as though he had chosen a friendship with Erys over Alessa. Somehow, it felt good.
"Uh, Thanks." Jeremy said dully, looking after where Alessa had gotten up and stormed half way out of the Library. She was caught however by one of her own kind and they seemed to be talking. He had noticed that about Hufflepuff. They were all in each others business. What gossips.
"Yeah, well, too bad she had feelings to be hurt, huh?" He said, a slightly forced grin on his face. It was like he was turning into a little puppy dog for the cat animagus. He knew that his family was mixed with Slytherins, he even had some Malfoy blood in him, as did most pure-bloods. His dark side had come out before, but not to someone that didn't deserve it like Alessa. However, he shrugged it off and came back to earth as he heard the book slam on the desk. "Nothing interesting?" He asked Erys with a smile. [Jeremy definitely turned into an Erys follower. lol.]

Helena returned, hearing the book land on the table. She headed towards where the book landed and threw it back to where it was.
Screw this, I'm done note-taking from this stupid book, she thought, closed the book and took out a much more enjoyable one. She felt that she had helped Alessa which in turn, made her feel better. Helena glanced at Erys and Jeremy, and it seemed glaringly obvious to her what was going on. To be honest, Helena admired Erys more than Jeremy, even if she thought of Erys as someone more than just a little irritating.
I'd expected more from you, Helena thought as she looked at Jeremy.

Alessa had had words with Helena and she made her feel a little better, she decided she would go back to the common room, where neither Erys or Jeremy would be able to go. She was more disappointed than anything, that Jeremy could be so inhumane towards her. She had done nothing wrong, she expected more from him, she was even stupid enough to think that he would be friends with her. That Slytherin was bad news, and the fact that he decided to be friends with her saddened her.

{ Lol! It sure seems so. And of course, blame his behavior on the Slytherin, guys. xD }
At first he didn't seem too pleased about his harsh jab, but as more time passed he looked almost proud with himself. That alone was enough to satisfy Erys, placing him in her good books. Now if Alessa had been so kind as to retort back with enough to rile him up, she just might've respected her. Poor thing.. A bundle of feelings just waiting to be mocked. To be that way was sickening, in her eyes. Really though, what he said wasn't that mean. Her reaction was a little over the top, to storm off like that. Maybe she was hardwired with it, maybe her whole house was. All Erys knew was that she'd never do that, not even if someone in her own house decided to try and insult her. She'd fight back, because thats what it meant to be strong.
"Too bad." Erys nodded her agreement, narrowing her eyes with a sly grin. Angling her eyes in the direction of the returning Hufflepuff, the animagus arched an eyebrow, having assumed the girl would've fled with Alessa and helped her more instead of deciding to stick around. Debating on whether this was because of guts, stubborn-ness, or plain stupidity, the prefect let it go, not bothering to trouble her mind with such matters.
Pity, the duo would probably blame Jeremy's actions on her. Though it was true that her presence had affected him, that wasn't exactly her fault. Erys was having the time of her life, now that someone had stirred things up. Typical prejudiced Hufflepuffs. It was shameful.

Helena partially wanted to arch an eyebrow back, but she could never pull off the one-eyebrow arch. She always ended up looking like she was about to die. Helena glanced at Erys, half-expecting a rude comment (in fact, Helena was rather excited for it). She then took out some of her leftover homework, biting her lip and using all of her willpower to stuff her sketchbook into the depths of her (rather messy) bag. Helena looked at Erys and Jeremy out of the corner of her eye again. Trying to avoid a possible future angry outburst at Jeremy, Helena thought to herself, the universe has a way of setting things straight. Alessa doesn't need a mindless dunderhead for a friend, anyways.
