What made Christopher choose the lawns over the library, he wasn't sure himself. But for some reason, he wanted to go there. Maybe it was to get fresh air, considering he spent so much time in the library, reading up on whatever he could. Though, almost automatically, his body started moving him towards the library. It was a hassle just to go past it, but he eventually did. His legs itched to turn around and be consumed in the books. To learn more then needed. Merlin, he was a pure nerd.
Trying to get his mind off the library, Topher turned to a near window, and stared out it. It was a beautiful day, and God knows when he'd last seen the sun. Looking out at the lawns from the window, he could see various students spread out, socializing with one another. When had he last had a real conversation with someone? He was so cut off from the social world, always being in his books, he probably had forgotten how to even communicate with another being.
Walking away from the window, Chris continued to get to the lawns, to get some fresh air, and possibly talk to someone. He knew no one, but that was his own fault. He could've talked to his fellow students. But he chose to stay inside, and read. Sighing, he walked out the doors, and shoved his hands in his pockets. The sun was bright, and blinding. Lifting a hand, he shielded his eyes from the sun. He probably looked odd, covering his eyes from the sun, like he'd never seen it. Chris had seen it, just from the windows.
Proceeding with his attempt to see the 'real world', he wandered off to a nearby tree, and stood under it, looking about. Students conversed with each other, talking about assignments, and their lives. Christopher felt so out of it, like he'd never communicated with anyone in his life. Shaking his head, he leaned back on the tree, attempting to look as casual as possible. It just felt so weird to be out of the castle. Nonetheless, out of the library.

Cristian was a bookworm and a nerd, especially random quotes and sayings, and History. He looked out onto the lawns of Hogwarts and decided to spend a few hours outside. He noticed a boy just sitting down on his own by a tree.He looked at him closer and saw he was a fellow Ravenclaw and was too reading. It was a lovely day and to nice to spend it indoors. He wandered down the corridors and the steps, to approach the Lawns. Cristian walked towards the boy and stood before him, blocking the sun from the boy's eyes. "Hi there, Erm. Do you mind if I sit with you?" He gave some rubbish excuse for a reason as the boy looked a little lonely. "Everyone else seems to be chatting" he smiled at him.

Christopher was still looking out at the people chatting, when he noticed the sun was no longer blinding him. Looking over, he noticed another student standing in front of him. A fellow Ravenclaw, by the looks of it, which comforted him a bit. "Uh.. Sure, why not?" He replied, smiling back awkwardly. It seemed so odd to be talking to someone, instead of reading. "Er.. I'm Christopher." Smiling more broadly now, he extended his hand.

Cristian sat down and extended his hand to Christopher. "Hi, I'm Cristian" He smiled back at him. "What are you reading?" He asked, he liked to know.

Shaking Cristian's hand, he grinned. "Nice to meet you." His usual shyness seemed to have passed, and he was feeling a little more comfortable outside then he did in the library, or in his dorm. Looking down at the book, he shrugged. "Advanced Potion-Making. It's quite interesting, really."

Cristian pulled a face that suggested he was impressed. "I see. Chapter 14 is worth a read. Especially for upcoming NEWTS" he said knowingly. Cristian got the impression that Christopher was a little shy.

Christopher nodded, making a mental note to read it. "Yeah. I'm guessing studying has been hard?" Topher wasn't in his sixth year yet, but he had heard the NEWTS were hard. He could make the assumption that Cristian was in his sixth year because he brought it up. And the only reason he had the book, was because he'd found it laying around in the common room, and just figured it needed to be read.

Cristian nodded as Christopher asked about the NEWTS. "Yeah they are hard, but you seem a bright sparkm i'm sure you'll pass them with flying colours" he smiled at him. He brought his knees up towards his chest so as he could put his arms on them. "I'm clever, but in certain subjects. I'm really a History nerd" he smirked as he rubbed the back of his neck. "So how did you do in your previous exams?" he questioned

Grinning, he felt a little odd being complimented. He really needed to get out more. "Thanks. I've still got a year until I have to take them, but never hurts to study early, right?" Topher thought about it for a moment. Then laughed. "Wow. I really need to get out more often." Glancing out at the other students, he felt like he was still out of it, but at least he was conversing now. Turning back to Cristian he chuckled. "History's a neat subject, though. I prefer Transfiguration though." Chris thought about it for a moment, then laughed again. "We're Ravenclaws, we have to be nerds in some subject." Topher shrugged. "I did pretty well, could've done better in my Divination class.. How bout yourself? How were your OWLs?"

Cristian smirked. "Mine were alright, Not bad, but alright. I aced History and the stuff I liked, but because of moving from home to home and stuff, I could never really concentrate right" he claimed. "Hey, think about it this was, there's always room for socialising after exams. I'd rather ace all of them then have mates after, at least you'll have a good job at the end of it" he raised his eyebrow adding to his smirk.

Christopher nodded again. "I would imagine it would be tough, moving around. Does your family plan on staying where you're living now?" He asked, curiously. Topher personally never really moved, but it would be pretty hard to drag around six kids places. It was hard enough for them just to go out for those rare family walks.
Shrugging, Chris nodded once again. "Yeah, I guess. I've never really been then social type. As weird as this may sound, books have always been my friends. Thus proving how nerdy I am." Laughing, he thought about how he'd kept piles of books by his bed, just so he could read them when he whenever he wanted to. It seemed so odd to him now, considering where ever he looked, there were students talking.

Cristian shook his head. "I have no foster family now. Once i'd gone to Durmstrang, they let me go. So i've been without a family since I was eleven" he sighed. "I just used to stay at school on holidays and stuff, I never had any friends there really, you know what they are like, typical buff men who think there's nothing else to life but themselfs" he smirked. "You kinda get used to moving around. After the first few times I stopped unpacking my stuff" he added.

Once Chris heard 'foster family', he went red with embarassment. He felt bad now that he had asked, and felt even worse when he had mentioned that he'd basically been living on his own since he was eleven. Attempting to get passed his embarrassment, he chuckled. "Yeah, I've heard they're giants. All brawn, no brain." Topher put on a small smile, and let Cristian finish. "Ah.. Er, sorry I asked, I didn't know.." With the pink in his cheeks returning again, he turned to look at the other students again. Obviously, Christopher was shy, and easily embarrassed; something most teens outgrew, and he held onto.

"It's fine" Cristian smiled and nudged Topher a little. "You can see why I stuck out like a sore thumg can't you?" He laughed. He was skinny, but had muscular arms, but not to much. "So what about your family?" he questioned.

Christopher still felt a little bad for asking him something he didn't have, but he perked up a little when Cris nudged him. "Better to stick out, then to blend in." He replied, grinning. Topher could imagine large, burly teens, looking like they were twenty-four with giant muscles, and placed Cris in there. Laughing at the thought, he grinned wider.
"My family? I'm the oldest of five, soon to be six. My mum's going to have another soon..." Topher smirked. "The only reason why the family's so big, is because we're Irish, if you get what I mean."
