Nikole pushed open the large doors of the library and stepped inside. It had been a while since she had visited this place that had basically been her home her first few years here. However, it seemed that this year she had been to busy to spend as much time here. She walked slowly looking around at the familiarity and feeling a great sense of comfort come over her.
A smile spread across her face and she twirled once with a satisfied sigh. It was good to be back here. She immediately walked down the first aisle of books she come to. Her eyes scanned over the titles hesitating only when they looked somewhat interesting. Finally, grabbing a rather fascinating looking book on potions she headed over to a table and sat down. Perfectly content as she read, she hardly noticed the presence of someone nearby.

Jac had come across something that distressed her greatly. She had reached a point in her self-tutoring where she didn't understand. This was a very new experience for Jac as she usually understood everything. She had set off for the library immediately to remedy the situation. When she arrived, the library wasn't overly full but had a small handful of students. It was great that this place remained so loved by many students but rarely over crowded by them.
Jac headed straight for the section she needed and took three thick books that may help her. She moved to the nearest table, which already had an occupant, but it was big enough so that Jac wouldn't disturb her. Setting the books down, Jac pulled out the seat and sat down, setting her ruck sack on the floor and opening the three books on various pages. She still couldn't believe she had gotten snagged on something as simple as Potions but then again she was doing this by herself and had to live with that.
Frowning most distressedly, Jac pulled her note book out of her bag and her self-inking quill. She turned to a new page and wrote: Asiatic Anti-Venoms. This topic had been giving her considerable grief since she hit it but with the book with the same title, Magical Drafts and Potions[/u] by Arsenius Jigger, and Advanced Potion-Making by Libatius Borage she was certain she could figure out how much of this would be in her finals.

Nikole looked up from her book, when she finally noticed someone else was there by the scratching of their quill. It was a seventh year Gryffindor, Jac. A very out going, energetic girl, who just seemed out of place in a quiet library. Nikole glanced at the books she was studying, advanced potions material. She was probably preparing for her finals. It was about that time.
Nikole had always found it interesting to watch people's study habits. They were all so different. For her everything seemed to just sink in the first time she read it, but for some they had to reread everything multiple times to learn it. Some would talk out loud, while others would become completely submersed in their own little worlds. Noticing the frown on the girl's face, Nikole giggled slightly. Quickly she looked back down at her book, hoping that she hadn't disturbed the girl.

Jac had found that for her reading something once was fine for her mind to latch onto the concept and accept it. She couldn't understand why some needed to read and reread things. She wasn't about to go around and belittle the way people studied, everyone had their own style. When it came to Potions however she had to make notes. To order her thoughts on paper was easier then trying to make sense of all the thoughts running around in her head.
She heard a giggle from the other side of the table. Looking up, Jac saw that the Ravenclaw across from her was the little Claw she had come across in the corridor. Jac dropped her quill and sat up. "Nikole?" she said, "is that you?" She had not seen much of the Claw since that night she first met. "What a funny place to bump into you again but then again we didn't exactly met under the most normal circumstances, did we?" Jac chuckled softly, still remembering that they were in a library.
