[Lake] Touch the sky

Kat had been watching the Gryffindor quidditch team practice on the pitch, and once it had ended, she was bored once again. She wished she could have the skill to play quidditch, but Kat and trying to do things on a broom except for just flying didn't mix at all. She was useless at concentrating on flying and doing something else. Thrusting her hands in her jeans pockets, she wandered away from the pitch and just walked to wherever her feet took her, which today, happened to be the lake.
Looking around, she noticed the lawns and lake area were empty, normally there were at least a few people around, but something must of been happening which she didn't know about. Shrugging to herself, she stood near the water's edge and looked out into the lake, with the horizon behind it, sending the lake a warm orange on the surface as it rippled softly.

The day had been rather confusing for Tenley. Tranferring to schools was much different than she thought it would be. She could barely find her way around the castle and now she was outside wandering aimlessly. She had hoped to run into Jase somewhere around but was soon informed that he was probably stuck up in the Gryffindor Common room. That was something she didn't quite understand about this school, the different houses and all.

Making her way to the lake, the only place she could find, she stood at the edge hugging her chest. She had left a warm place for this. "Ugh, what was I thinking!" she said out loud. But of course she knew what she was thinking when she came here. Ten turned to her left and spotted a girl wearing a robe with a lion pin. What house was that again? Gryffindor? "Hi," she said as she walked over by her. "Mind if I join you?"
