Walking into the the library, Christopher immediately smiled. Inhaling the air through his nose, it was as though he could smell the books, taking in their lovely text. Anytime he could escape to the comfort of the books, he was there. Occasionally he would sneak in a small meal, and eat there, with a book held up to his face making it look as though it devoured his face. But, the library was like a home away from home to him, his own little slice of heaven. Or rather, slices.
The shy Ravenclaw wandered off to an empty table , and sat down. Looking about himself, he decided to grab whatever was nearest to him, which happened to be Anthology of Eighteenth Century Charms , and began reading. Topher was absorbed in the library's book, taking in whatever knowledge his mind could hold. Determined to finish the book within the day, Chris stood up, book still in face, and wandered over to the check-out counter.
To his dismay, however, Topher had collided with something, or rather someone. Dropping the book from the collision, he instantly turned red in embarassment. "Sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going, my fault completely." He babbled. Poor Chris was a rather unsocial child, and would turn red at even accidentally brushing up to someone.

Emmy wandered through the corridors. She had no idea what to do. She had done everything today. Although she forgot to 'enjoy any moments which are joyable'. Well, maybe she could make this moment a joyable one. Was there a reason for joy at this very moment?
Emmy passed the library, and immediately did a step back. An imaginary light bulb appeared above her head. Emmy opened the heavy old door of the library and a cracking sound appeared. She enjoyed this moment since it felt like entering all the unknown knowledge was waiting for her.
Emmy stepped in with a toothy smile sticked on her face. She ambled slowly through the library while she was watching all the high bookshelves. She still entered the library this way after all these years.
While Emmy was ambling she hadn't noticed that somebody was reaching her. She couldn't elude this moment of colliding. Emmy soon collided with the body of a boy who was concentrated on his book.
The Ravenclaw boy apologized as soon as he could. Emmy said with a rapid calming voice, since it wasn't the first time she collided with someone in this lovely library."It's alright, was my fault too.."
As Emmy said that she grabbed the book the boy just had dropped. She read the title. Anthology of Eighteenth Century Charms. How interesting. Emmy said with a sincere feeling of interest: "That's interesting, never read it but I think it's quite interesting isn't it?" Emmy gave the book to the boy while she said that.
Emmy saw the boy his face had turned red. Emmy smiled at him. It was an attempt to comfort him.

Actually focusing on who he had collided with, Chris noticed it was a girl. Great.. He thought. Not only did I have to bump into someone and embarrass myself, but it had to be a girl! I don't even know how to talk to girls! Topher turned red at the thought of embarrassing himself even more. "No, really. It's my fault.." He replied, looking at his feet. "I shouldn't have had my head in my book." Shrugging his shoulders, he looked up at her again.
She, too, was a Ravenclaw, which, for some reason, comforted him a little. Taking the book from her, he smiled. "Yeah, it is. I've only read only the first chapter or so, but the Charms they have in it are really interesting." Christopher's face wasn't as red as before, it was slowly lightening up. But, it went slightly more red again when she smiled at him, causing him to look at the ground.
Merlin, why am I so awkward and shy? He silently thought, shaking his head lightly. Gaining up the courage to look at the girl again, he put on another smile. "I'm Christopher, by the way. You-you could call me Chris, if you want, though." It was the only thing he could think of, as it was obvious he'd never really talked to people, and he was attempting to start up a conversation for once.

There was one thing very obvious in this case, Christopher was very shy. She was shy too, but actually she became more and more outgoing when the years passed. Emmy hadn't talked to anybody the passed years, but this year was different. She had met people, talked to them, and even had a laugh with them. This boy looked like he didn't but Emmy couldn't read minds.
Emmy said with a calm voice: "Alright Chris it is than, I am Emmy by the way.." She looked at the boy and saw that he had turned red again. Familiar look for Emmy. Emmy lifted her eyebrows for a moment when a silence passed. She played with a lock of her black curls and said: "I think it's better when we have this conversation somewhere at a table.." She pointed to a table in the back of the library which was all empty, and out of the sight of a fierce looking Librarian.
Emmy ambled to the wooden table without looking if Chris followed. She sat down and rested her hand on the table. She looked at the old bookshelfs around her, and quickly read the titles.
