Felicity shoved her hands into her pockets as she walked. Lately, Fay had taken to wearing jeans, or any long pants that would cover her legs. A nasty scar had been left on her leg from where she had been burned, and there were still marks from the Devil's Snare.
Only the people who were there knew what happened, and that was how she planned to keep it. There wasn't a need to unnecessary questions, she didn't want to deal with that.
So, here she was, walking along Hogsmeade, lost in her thoughts. And, unsurprisingly, her thoughts had returned to Scott. Last time she spoke with him --through letter-- was over the summer. Otherwise, she hadn't seen even a wink of him. That obviously didn't help her mood.
Felicity wasn't about to go tell Bray, or Ash even, how she missed him. Bray was still against her and Scott, and Ash was still confused over Maxi. She didn't want to stress either of them anymore.
Fay winced slightly and moved to sit on a bench. Ever since that time in the forest, she hadn't been able to walk for very long periods of time. Her leg always hurt, so she had to walk with a slight limp. Felicity rolled up her pant leg and brushed her fingers softly against the scar.
She was a mess.

Scott had just walk out of a shop in Hogsmeade and was now carrying a rather large box. It had been a while since he'd been here in Hogsmeade. He was rather worried about all of his friends, really worried about Fay. He meant to write her more, but his father was persistant he stay in London with him. It wasn't until he told his dad what he wanted to do that he was left alone.
With a sigh, Scott trudged along the streets of hogwarts. He had meant to give Fay a present before summer had begun but it slipped his mind at the time and now he felt like he owed it to her. He was about to drop the box off at Honeydukes until he saw a familiar face amongst the crowd. It was Fay and from the looks of it, she wasn't doing too good. Scott could only blame himself at the moment.
He put on a smile and headed in her direction. Taking a seat next to her, he looked down at her leg, "That doesn't look to good," he said examining the scar, "What happened?" he asked. Scott knew he shouldn't act as if there wasn't a whole summer inbetween their relationship, but Fay's health came first for him.

People were passing by Fay, some giving her a weird glance, while others were pretending she didn't exsist. Some looked down at her scar in disgust. Even some children had the nerve to giggle as they passed. Felicity suddenly felt very self-conscious.
All of her life, she was just used to looking nice, or not having to do a lot to at least look decent. But now, she was afraid of what people would assume about her leg. Maybe, that she was a bad witch, and a spell back fired. Or, maybe someone had attacked her. Either way, she couldn't tell anyone the truth, without getting into heaps of trouble, and dragging her friends down with her.
Someone had spoken to her, drawing her out of her daydreaming. Felicity glanced to the side, and was shocked to find Scott sitting down next to her. So much so, that she fell off of the bench. Fay winced and rubbed her back end, but none the less got back on the bench.
"This? Oh, I, um, messed up a spell." She muttered, while quickly tugging her pant leg back down.

Scott couldn't help but sense something was wrong. The tone of her voice gave it away. Setting the box down on the bench, Scott knelt down on the ground and rolled Fay's pant leg back up. Even though he wasn't going to be a healer, his mother had taught him a few of her tricks back home. He pulled a bottle out of his back pocket; the contents being a jelly substance used to relieve pain. Squeezing some onto the tip of his fingers, Scott gently rubbed it onto her scar being precise and careful at the same time.
Looking up at her for a moment, Scott smiled, "Come on, Fay," he said to her before looking back down at the scar. He had hoped the pain was going away a little by now, "Spells don't backfire for you," he said before he stopped rubbing her scar. He put the bottle back in his pocket and pulled her pant leg back down.

Felicity watched, wide eyed as Scott pull her pant leg up to look back at the scar. She flinched at his touch, and quickly averted her gaze. Fay hadn't let anyone touch it, because she was too afraid of the pain again. The night they went out to the forest, Felicity had hid most of her emotions, afraid of scaring her friends. But the burn hurt like hell, and so did the Devil's Snare.
"You might get mad."
Fay's voice was quiet as she stared down at the ground. She was ashamed in herself mostly. She should've been on her guard, and that shouldn't have happened.

Scott sighed and removed the box from the bench. He set it down on the dirt between him and Fay, then replaced the empty spot with himself. Scott placed a comforting arm around her and gently turned her head so she'd face him. "Fay, you can tell me anything and you know that," he said a little disappointed in her.
Scott let go of her and picked up the box, "This is for you," he said handing her the box slowly. Inside was a giant box of her favorite chocolates, a picture of the two of them and a smaller box containing the locket he was supposed to give to her before the last term had ended. With a sigh, Scott ran a hand through his hair then flattened it back down. He just wanted her to trust him again.

"I know. I'm ashamed of myself more than anything."
Felicity looked at his face for a moment, then took a breath. She leaned on his side, and looked down at her lap.
"Well, Maxi, Bray, Ash and I all went out to the forest. It was sort of like, a welcome back to Hogwarts." She brushed some hair out of her eyes. "Well, we had gotten pretty deep into the forest, and I was joking around with Ash. I didn't notice Devil's Snare sneak up on me until it was too late." Fay shook her head and placed her fingers lightly on her leg. "Ash freaked and shot flames at it. And, I got burned."
She blinked at the box, and placed it on her lap. Fay opened the box curiously, and a grin flashed across her face. She giggled slightly at the picture, then noticed a smaller box inside the large one. Felicity picked it up and tilted her head slightly. Fay opened the little box hesitantly, and gave a little gasp.

Scott listened to her story and made no sudden mood changes. He was upset but not at Fay or Ash, or anyone on that matter. He was angry with himself that he wasn't there to help her out properly. Devil's Snare was a nasty thing to deal with. He sighed and shot a glance down at her leg, "I wish you would've told me sooner. I could've at least healed it part way and you wouldn't have to put up with a nasty scar," he said pulling out the bottle he had in his back pocket and handed it to her, "This should help with the pain. Just rub it one twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. It should last you a while."
Scott smiled as she opened the box. He glanced over at the photo and made a face at the photo. He forgot he had placed a stupid one of the both of them in there. When she opened the box containing the necklace with both their initials engraved on it, Scott's face lit up, "Do you like it?" he asked her.

"It happened only a couple days ago. I haven't told anyone else." Felicity touched her leg softly, somewhat surprised that the pain had lessened. That stuff really worked. "I'll get over the scar, after a while. Perhaps it'll go away." She grinned up at Scott, but only a small smile. "You never know with veela magic right?"
Fay gently turned the necklace over, and noticed their initials on both sides. She took it out of the box and held it on her palm. Felicity closed her hand around it, and turned to Scott. "I love it!" Fay threw her arms around him and hugged him tightly, laughing. "Thank you, thank you so much!" She released him after a while and held the necklace out. "Help me put it on?"

Scott gazed at Fay and sighed, "Well, at least you told someone," he said, giving her a small grin. Scott looked down at her leg then back up at her, "You'd be one lucky lady if the scar went away," she told her.
He watched as she opened the box containing the necklace. When she threw her arms around him, he wrapped his around her waist. "You're welcome," he said before giving her a kiss on the forehead. Grabbing the necklace from her he smiled, "Turn and pull your hair up," he told her, "Please," he added.

"Shouldn't you know me by now? I'm Lady Luck!" That, most obviously, was the most contadictory thing Fay had ever said in her lifetime. If anything, Felicity probably dragged around bad luck. She tripped over possitively anything, can't go a day without injuring herself, or managing to injure someone else. It was a curse of sorts.
"Alright." Felicity pulled up her hair and turned her back to Scott. "Don't go trying to choke me or anything now, otherwise I'll hex you into the next century." She turned her head a bit to glance at him, and sent him a smirk, before turning her head away from him again.

Scott chuckled, "Would you mind rubbing some of that luck off on me than?" he said with a grin. He could use some luck when he told his father that he did infact get the job at Hogwarts and wouldn't be staying in banking with him.
Scott smiled at Fay, "Yeah, because you know that's what I want to do. It's my goal to choke you, Felicity," he said sarcastically. He placed the necklace gently around her neck before clasped it. Fixing it so the clasp was in the middle of her neck, he grinned, "There, now you have something to remember me by," he said with a cheeky grin.

Felicity shook her head and laughed. "Nope, sorry, I can't dish it out. You'll just have to stay by me more I guess." She blushed slightly, and was thankful that her head was turned away from Scott so he couldn't see.
"Well, you never know. You could've secretly wanted me gone for a long time." Fay let her hair fall back down and she turned back to Scott. "How does it look?" The necklace seemed to contrast perfectly with her pale skin, because of it's darker silver color. She moved some of her hair from her face and grinned.

((Not sure if you want to keep this going but I'll post in it anyway))
Scott smiled at Fay's comment. Spending more time with her wasn't something he was going to argue against. It was something he'd rather enjoy actually. "Well, Maybe I'd just have to do that then. You could be my good luck charm," he smiled. How Corny. Scott shook his head slightly.
When Fay turned and faced him, Scott grinned widely. He was staring at her, staring into her eyes and the only thing he could get out was, "Beautiful." Scott ran a shaky hand through his hair and cleared his throat, "I mean, it looks beautiful on you. Y- You look beautiful with it on." Scott gave a nervous laugh, "I'm just going to stop talking now."
