Sigh, another hard day at work. The Dragonology professor had taken an extended vacation to who knows where, leaving Collette in charge of everything else. Lessons were put off until she returned, but Colle had to deal with papers. Essay after essay on Hungarian Horntails passed under her pen, she thought she might explode. Some students wrote beautifully, and that made their papers actually interesting to read. Other students just wrote down everything they saw in the book, and jumped from place to place. Her favorite essays were the ones where students would make up information, because they thought she wouldn’t notice. Ha!
None the less, her brain was fried by the time she finally left the classroom. The last paper she had read simply irked her. The student had written ‘Hungarian Horntails have wings.’ at least three times in his paper. She wanted to smack this kid across the face. No really? I never would’ve guessed! Sometimes she had to wonder what happened to this school. Or what happened to the students. Was it just this day and age that every bloomin’ child believed that they could pull one over their teacher? Idiots. Bloody idiots.
Collette could go meet up with May, she supposed, but her friend would probably just make a comment on her sour attitude, only adding to her annoyance. So, why not take a trip to Hogsmeade? She hadn’t been there in some time, and she was due to pop by for a visit. Colle grabbed up her jacket –it was still cold at night—and made her way over to Hogsmeade, humming a tune under her breath all the way. Perhaps she would run in to some Hogwarts workers, much like herself. It wasn’t like she didn’t see them everyday, because she did, but it was always to run into them after hours, when students weren’t around.
For some reason, she found herself outside of Hogshead, just looking up at the sign. With a small shrug, she pushed open the door and took a step in. An arrangement of different smells assaulted her once she set foot through the door. She inhaled deeply, while a small smile tugged on her lips. Hm, it’s a wonder she hadn’t found this place before. Colle plopped down on a stool near the bar and twirled around to face it. She crossed her legs and leaned forward on her elbows while looking around the place.
There wasn’t anyone she immediately recognized, which was slightly disappointing. Oh well, time to meet new people! She brushed some of her hair out of her eyes as she looked around, but it just fell back into place. It was hopeless really, but it had just become a habit of hers by now. With a sigh, she noted that no one was paying much attention to her. So much for striking up a conversation. It was still early in the evening though, and the bars tended to become more crowded closer to night. It wasn’t like she had to be anywhere tonight, so why not spend a little time in here?

Her new flat needed a lot of work the walls were barren and wallpaper was seriously in order. The shag carpet was simply tacky and she would not have it. The furniture was old a total flashback to the seventies. Her mother had come for a visit and asked over and over why in the world had she taken the place. How simple the answer was "The view mama I love the view" she said happily. Now she was beginning to wonder if a view was worth all the trouble she was going through.
Magic was not an option even though it would have been so easy, who wants easy certainly not her. Hard work and perseverance were the only way to be proud of the work you have done that was the only way she would do the remodeling which is why she was now outside feeling frustrated.
No matter how much she accomplished there seemed to be a ton more to do. She had to get out to get away from it all before she just started tearing her hair out of her head and destroying the apartment all together.
She lived in the Hogsmeade area simply because attending Hogwarts she fell in love with the village and knew that she would one day come back to live. Plus there was Honeydukes candies galore all kinds Stacy could never resist the place.
She went in to get some chocolate which she bought way too much of the owner seemed to love it but Stacy didn't not after she was told what she had to pay. She went over board even for her. Depressed and hopped up on sugar she figured she'd drown her sorrows in a drink. The Hogshead was the place to go if you weren't really into cheer and upbeat attitudes.
Coming in she just headed to the bar, rumor had it that was the safest place in the joint. Waiting to be served she turned slightly in the stool she was sitting in and noticed that she wasn't the only woman in the place. Making eye contact she smiled, no idea why it was sort of silly too bad she had already done it hopefully the woman wouldn't go running or give her one of those nasty appraising looks women enjoyed giving each other.
